(Based in Season 3x16)

With just days to go, Sam, Calliope and Dean were held up in a cabin, still looking into finding any way to find Lilith. With the day to Dean's death getting closer and closer, Calliope grew more worried. The past few nights Dean had been having restless nights, and she could tell he was dreaming of the hellhounds. Calliope was currently seated on the bed, reading over some books, when she noticed Dean suddenly wake up startled, onbvioulsy having another nightmare.

"Dig up anything good?"Sam asks his brother.

"No, uhh nothing good" Dean tells him.

"Well Bobby has finally" Sam tells them.

"Really?" Calliope asks him.

"Yeah, a way to find Lilith" Sam informs them.

"Wow, with uh just" he looks at his watch "thirty hours to go" he adds. "Hey why don't we just make a TJ run, you know? You know some senoritas, cervezas, Uh we could –what's Spanish for 'donkey show'?" he asks his brother. Calliope just gives him a look, little disgusted with him.

"So if we do save you, lets never do that" Sam smiles at his bother.

"Yeah" Dean says

"Hey, Dean" Sam says sitting down beside his brother. "Look we're cutting it close, I know. But we're gonna get this done. I don't care what it takes, Dean. You're not gonna go to hell. I'm not gonna let you " Sam tells him as Calliope comes over and stands by the table, Dean looks at both of them.

"And neither am I Dean, we swear, everything's going to be okay" she tells him as she takes his hand in hers and gives it a light squeeze.

Dean then gets a worried look on his face, "yeah, okay" he says to them.

"Come on try and get some rest, please Dean" Calliope says to him.

"Yeah, sure" he agrees as he lets go of her hand and heads for a bed.

"You doing okay?" Calliope quietly asks Sam.

"Doing the best I can" he tells her. "How about you?" he asks.

"About the same, do you really think this is going to work, getting rid of Lilith, will get Dean out of his deal, it will allow him to live?" she asks looking over at Dean.

"We gotta hope so" Sam says to her.

"Come on let's get some rest" she then says to him and he just nods at her in agreement.

The next day Bobby shows up at the cabin with the oddest contraption ever. Sam places a map on the table as Bobby places the pendulum ontop of it.

"So you need a name, that's the whole kit and caboodle" he explains to the three of them about the device "With the right name, right ritual, ain't nothing you can't suse out" he adds.

"Like the town Lilith might be in" Calliope asks him.

"Kid, when I get done, we'll know the street" he says to her as Bobby starts the ritual, by swining the pendulum and speaking latin. The three of them watch and wait as the pendulum swings over the map until it comes to a complete stop.

"New Harmony, Indiana." He says looking up at the three of them, "and we have a winner" he adds.

"Allright" Sam says moving the penfulam point away, "Let's go" he adds looking at Bobby.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, Hold on, holster up there Tex" Dean says to his brother.

"What's the problem?" Sam asks him.

"What's the problem? Come on, where do I begin? I mean, first of all , we don't know if Lilith holds my deal. We're going off of Bela's intel? Now when that bitch breaths, the air comes out crooked. Okay, Second, even if we could get Lilith, we have no way to gank her. And thirs isn't this the same Lilith that wants your giant head on a pike, and her sweet one" he gestures to Calliope, "Should I continue" he adds.

"Ain't you just bringing down the room" Bobby scoffs at him.

"Yeah, well it's a gift" Dean remarks.

"I'm sorry, so then, what are we suppose to do, Dean?" Sam asks him.

"Just 'cause I gotta die doesn't mean you have to, okay. Either we go in smart or we don't go in at all" Dean says to him.

"Okay, fine, if that's the case I have an answer" Sam tells him and they look at him in confusion.

"You do?" both Calliope and Dean say together.

"Yeah, a sure-fire way to confirm, its Lilith, and a way to get us a a bona-fide demon killing ginsu" Sam says.

"Damnit Sam, no" Dean says stepping away clearly knowing what Sam is talking about.

"We're so past arguing. Dean. I am summoning Ruby" Sam tells him.

"The hell you are" Dean says turning back to face his brother, "We have enough problems as it is" he adds.

"Excatly" Sam says taking a step closer to Dean, "And we've got no time and no choice either" Sam argues with him.

"Come on man, she is the Miss Universe of lying skanks, okay. She told you that she could save me, huh-lie, She seems to know everything about Lilith but forgot to mention, oh right-Lilith owns my soul!" Dean shouts back at him.

"Okay fine, she's a liar, she's still got that knife" Sam says.

"Dean" Bobby steps in saying.

"For all we know , she works for Lilith" Dean says to his brother,

"Then give me another option, Dean. I mean, tell me what else" Sam pleads with him.

"Sam's right" Bobby suddenly says.

"NO! DAMNIT!" Dean then shouts at them and they all look at him in suprise.

"Just no, we are not gonna make the same mistakes all over again" he says to them. "You guys wanna save me, find something else" Dean says as he walks back over to the table, and sits down. The other three look at one another, surprised by Dean's actions. Bobby then reaches for his jacket, "Where are you going, Bobby?" Sam asks him.

"I guess to..find something" he tells them as he then heads out the door.

"Dean, you have me this time, I mean maybe there is something about my powers that can help us contain Lilith, possible get rid of her. I mean there is obviously a reason she wants me dead, she must be scared of me" Calliope says sitting down beside Dean at the table, as Sam walks away.

"I can't do that, you don't even know if whatever it is you can do will work" he says to her.

"No we don't but it's worth a shot, if it means saving you" she says as he then gets up. "Where are you going?" she asks him.

"Sam's going to summon Ruby I know it, and I don't want him doing something stupid" he says as she then gets up and follows him. Dean heads down into the basement, "Can you help draw a devils' trap right here?" he asks her.

"Yeah sure, you honestly think Sam is going to go against your wishses?" she asks as she starts to draw the trap.

"It's Sam, he's desperate to save me by any means necessary" he tells her. Once they are finished they head back upstairs, "I'm going to go for a walk, want to come?" he asks her.

"Yeah, sure, fresh air would be good" she smiles as they two of them leave the cabin.

Eventually coming back to the cabin the two of the head down toward the basement where they can hear Sam talking to a women.

"Look, call me a bitch, hate me all you want, but I have never lied to you Sam. Not ever. And I'm telling you , you can save your brother alone with Calliope, and I can show you and her how" they hear Ruby say.

"So that's you, huh? Our slutty little Yoda" Dean says getting her and Sam's attention.

"Dean" she says turning around to face the two of them, "Calliope" she adds. "Charming as ever" she says sarcaticaly.

"Aw, I knew you'd show up. Because I knew Sam wouldn't listen" Dean says to her. Sam looks at the two of them then looks away quickly.

"You're not going to teach Sam or me anything, not over my dead-body am I going to allow a demon to teach me about my powers or try and get Sam to use some weird powers you seem to think he has" Calliope says to her.

"Yeah, right" Ruby says to her.

"What you are gonna do is give us that knife, and then you can crawl back to whatever hole you crawled out ofm and never bother me or these boys again" Calliope takes a step closer to her, "Are we clear" she threatens.

"You're cute" Ruby smiles at her, "Your brother is carrying a bomb inside of him and you'd be stupid not to use it" she says looking at Dean.

"Dean, Calliope, look, just hold on for one-" sam starts saying,

"Sam! Don't!"Dean says angrily, "Come on, man, what, are you blind? Can't you see that this is a trick" he adds looking at his brother.

"That's not true" Ruby quickly says.

"She wants you to give into this whole demonic psychic whaterver, okay! I mean hell, she probably wants you to become her little anti-chirst superstar" Dean says to him.

"I want Lilith dead, that's all" Ruby says angrily.

"Why?" both Dean and Calliope ask her.

"I've told you why" she says to them.

"Oh, right, yeah. Because you were human once and you liked kittens and long walk son the beach" Dean mocks her.

"You know, I am so sick of proving myself to you. You wanna save yourself, this is how. You dumb, spine elss dick" Ruby says stepping forward. Dean looks at her, then turns around to leave, but then suddenly turns right back around and punchs Ruby in the face, a pissed off look on his face. Sam and Calliope both take a step back, each one of them surpirside by his actions. Ruby steps back, wiping the blood on her lip as she then steps forward and punches Dean in the face twice.

"Ruby, hey" Sam calls out as he grabs her, and she shoves him off of her. Sam falls back and Calliope checks on him as she goes after Dean again. She sees Ruby and Dean tumble, when she uses her powers to toss Ruby toward the spot they had drawn the devil's trap on earlier. Dean slowly gets up, grinning at Ruby as Calliope comes over to make sure he's okay.

"The hell are you grinning at?" Ruby asks Dean.

"Missing something?" he asks her as he pulls the knife out showing her.

"I'll kill you , you son of a bitch" she shouts at him as she steps forward and is stopped in her place. She then looks up and see's the trap.

"Like I said" he says putting the knife down, "I knew you'd come" he tells her. Calliope and Dean start making their way for the staircase.

"Wait! You're just gonna leave me here?" she asks them, as they stop at the bottom stair.

"Let's go, Sam" Dean orders his brother. Sam walks over to Dean and Calliope who start making their way up the staircase, Sam following behind.

"Oh, oh you-so you're just too stupid to live, is that it?" Ruby shouts at Dean, "Then fine! You deserve hell! I wish I could be ther, Dean. I wish I could smell the flesh sizzle off your bones!" she continues, "I WISH I COULD BE THERE TO HEAR YOU SCREAM!" she the shouts at them as they continue up the staircase.

"And I wish you'd shut your pie hole, but we don't always get what we want" Dean shouts as the three of them continue up the stairs.

There is complete slience as the all start to prepare their guns, getting ready for what is to come. Calliope can tell that there is something on Sam's mind, and looks at him, "What's up?" she asks him as she loads some bullets into her hand gun.

"We're just gonna let Ruby rot down there?" he asks.

"That's the idea" Dean anwseres him.

"Dean, what if , um..What if Rubys's right? What if I can take out Lilth" Sam says earning a look from both Dean and Calliope. "Quite looking at me like that" he adds.

"What. Are you gonna give her the Carrie-stare and Lilith goes 'poof'?" Dean asks him.

"I don't know what Ruby meant. You know, maybe we shold just go ask her?" Sam says to them.

"Sam, that's not a good idea, Dean got you the knife isn't that what you wanted" Calliope says as she continues to load some of the guns on the table and Dean walks away from the table.

"Dean, Calliope just listen to me for a second" he says trying to get their attention, "Last time Lilith snapped her fingesr and put thirty deamons on our ass, and all we got is one little knife" Sam says.

"And you have me too" Calliope adds, "I know the extent of my powers Sam" she adds.

"I know but we go in smart or we don't go in at all" Sam says to them.

"Well, this ain't smart" Dean tells his brother.

"We got one shot at this Dean, Just one, So if there's asure fire way then maybe we should just talk about it" Sam pleads to his brother.

Dean turns back around to face his brother, "Sam we are not gonna make the same mistake all over again" Dean says to him. Calliope goes back to preparing the guns knowing that the brothers about to have a moment about whatever they are going through.

"You said that before but what does it even mean?" Sam asks his brother.

"Don't you see the pattern here? Dad's deal, my deal, now this? I mean everytime one of us is-is-is up the creek the other is begging to sell their sould. That's all this is, man. Ruby is just jerking your chain down the road. You know what it's paved with and you know where it's going" Dean says as he goes back to loading the guns as he sits down on a chair.

"Dean" Sam says as he walks around the table toward his brother, sitting down beside him, "What do you think is gonna happen? This is me, I can handle it" he tells Dean, who is just looing at the floor shaking his head. "And if it saves you" Sam says.

"Why even risk it?" Dean suddenly asks.

"Because your my brother. Because you did the same thing for me" Sam tells him.

"I know" Dean scoffs, "and look ho that turned out" Dean tells him as he looks at Sam, who then looks away, "All I'm saying, Sammy, all I'm saying is that you're my weak spot" he adds, as Sam looks at him.

"You are, and I'm yours" Dean adds.

"You don't mean that, We're..we're family" Sam says to him.

"I know, and those evil sons of bitches know it too. I mean, wha we'lll do for each other, you know, how far we'll go? They're using it against us" Dean tells him.

"So what? We just stop looking out for each other" Sam ask him.

"No we stop being matyrs, man" Dean says, "We-we-we stop spearding if for thses demons" he adds as he then picks up the knife, "we take this knifhe, and we go after Lilith, our way. The way Dad taught us. Ad if we go down, then uhh. Then we go down swinging" Dean tells his brother.

Sam looks at Dean, completating what his brother had said, "What do you think?" he asks both Sam and Calliope.

"I think you probably should have been playing 'Eye of the Tiger' right there" Calliope jokes making them laugh a little. Dean gets up from his chair ,"Oh bite me, I totally reheardsed that speech" he says looking over at Calliope.

"It was a very well thought out speech Dean" she then says to him

"So, Inidiana huh?" Sam says to them.

"Yeah, where Lilith's on shore-leave" Dean says.

"Yeah i guess" Sam says.

"Tell me something" Dean says, "the hell's a demon do for fun?" he then asks them.

"You got me, come one let's finish this all up then hit the road." Calliope says as she starts to gather the weapons on the table, and pack up her bags.

"Do you think maybe you should let Bobby know about where we are going?" She asks as she heads outside to throw her things in her car.

"No, I don't want Bobby being anywhere near this" Dean tells her.

"Alright, but you know he won't be happy that we are ditching him" she says as she leans against the driver side door.

"Yeah well he'll have to deal" Dean says to her.

"So this is it eh, your last few hours on earth? Anything you think you should be doing before you know kick the bucket" she smiles at him.

"Are you offereing?" he asks her. Calliope steps closer to Dean, her lips grazing his own, as she the kisses him. As they kiss Calliope doesn't notice Dean pull a set of handcuffs out from his backpocket, he gracefully places them around her wrist, and then attaches the other cuff to the door handle. When she hears the click of the cuff and feels the coldness of metal on her wrist she pulls away.

"Dean, care to explain" she asks seething at him.

"You are not coming along with me and Sam, this is too dangerous even to have you along" he tells her.

"Dean, you are not going in there head first with just your brother at your side." She says to him.

"I'm not having you risk your ass for me " he tells her as she starts to walk away.

"Dean!" she shouts at him, "DEAN!" she screams even louder as he goes to the Impala and gets in along side Sam. Calliope tugs at the cuffs, the metal cutting into her skin. She then takes a deep breath as she focuses on the mechanism of the cuffs. As she tries to unlock them with her powers she hears Dean trying to start the car, and it's unable to start. Calliope then manages to get the cuff unlocked, and makes her way for the Impala when she sees Bobby knocking on the window of the Impala. She walks over and stands beside Bobby as the boys get out of the car.

"We got the knife" Dean tells Bobby.

"And you intend to use it without me" Bobby says back to him. "Do I look like a ditchable prom date?" he then asks him.

"Apparantly I do" Calliope remarks.

"No, Bobby of course not"Sam says to him, "And Calliope we're sorry" Sam says.

"This is about me and Sam, okay this isn't your fight" Dean says to the two of them.

"The hell it isn't"Bobby says getting right up in Deans face, "Family don't end in blood, boy" he adds clearly mad. "Besides you need me, and you most likely need her too" he says nodding at Calliope.

"Bobby" Dean starts to protest when Bobby cuts him off

"You're playing wounded, Tell me how many hallucinations have you had so far?" he asks Dean. Sam then looks between Bobby and his brother surprside by this info.

"How'd you know?" Dean then asks,

"Because that's what happens when you got hellhounds on your butt" Bobby says, "and because I'm smart" he adds. Dean doesn't say a word and just looks down to the ground. Bobby then hands back the part that he had taken off the Impala.

"We'll follow, take Calliope's car" Bobby says as he starts to walk away, "Don't be stopping to pee every 10 minutes either" he adds as Calliope follows him to her car. Both Bobby and Calliope get in her car, waiting as Dean puts the part back on the Impala. She starts her car, and waits as they drive away.
