Izzy's PoV:
My jaw had stopped hurting so much but I still had a bruise and a slight bump although that was going down.
Sqaishey was helping me unpack my things, not all of it was here, some was still at the care home. Sqaishey had only managed to grab as many clothes as possible and then push them in the bags.
"Squid told me that know one knows how you got into care." Sqaishey said. I was about to say that I wasn't going to tell her why, when she said, "You should tell him why. I can tell you really trust him." I nodded but looked down to at the floor. "I just don't want social services to know. It's private." I said. "If you get Squid to promise not to tell them then he won't. He never breaks a promise." I nodded again. "I will tell him when I'm ready to. I'm still not sure I want to talk about it yet. It still hurts."
*Time Skip*
Me and Sqaishey had unpacked all the stuff that she had managed to get and Netty and Amy had gone to get all my things, like posters, pictures and books, stuff like that. Squid decided it would be better if I didn't go back there.
I was still shattered, only Squid knew why and all I really wanted to do was sit down and go to sleep. I saw Squid look at me and, from the expression on his face, I was pretty sure he could see how tired I was. "Hey guys, let's watch a movie!" He said. I was grateful for that. It was about 7 pm so no one thought it was weird to be watching a movie at this time. We all sat down on the sofas and Squid asked me what movie I wanted to watch. To be honest I didn't really mind but Squid had BlinkBox so I thought I may as well choose a film that I liked. I was scrolling through the options when I saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. That is my favourite film ever! So Squid bought it and we started to watch the film.

I was inbetween Squid and Sqaishey and about 15 minutes in I lent on Squid, who put his arm around me, and fell asleep. I was so so tired and I felt safe so I thought it was unlikely I would wake up from a nightmare here. I mean, I was inbetween iBallisticSquid and Sqaishey Quack with Stampylongnose, Tomohawk and AshDubh in the same room! I'm not going to feel much safer than this!
When I woke up I could see that the film was paused and Squid was no longer next to me. I bolted up, I could hear crying and some shouting. I ran to the door to see Netty crying with a bleeding lip and a black eye. Amy and Nicole were next to her, trying to comfort her. I looked to the left to see Squid trying to keep Stampy pushed up against a wall. Stampy was fighting to break free. Ash stood by the front door, it almost looked like he was there to stop people getting out. I could also see Tom holding on to Sqaishey to stop her running to Stampy, she was crying too. I backed away into the corner of the room and covered my ears and shut my eyes tight. I curled up into a ball and started crying. I remembered the last time I did this, when social services arrived after my next door neighbour had heard lots of shouting and crying, they found me in the corner of my bedroom clinging to a picture of Squid. That was the most scared I had ever been in my life and, I was now doing the very same thing in the persons house who made me feel safer last time.
I felt someone's hand touch my back and I flinched. "Izzy it's ok. Stampy's just trying to protect his sister." I lifted my head up to see Nicole. I listened to what Stampy was shouting, "FIRST HE INSULTS MY GIRLFRIEND AND THEN HE HURTS MY SISTER!! HE MUST PAY!!!!" Suddenly it dawned on me who "He" was. "Craig..." I said to Nicole. She nodded sadly. "When Netty and Amy were putting your stuff in the car he came up behind them and grabbed Netty and pulled her away. Apparently it was only him so Amy managed to get him off Netty so they could run away." I started to cry it was my fault. Suddenly there was a bang and a cry of pain. Me and Nicole ran to the door of the sitting room and looked into the hallway. Squid was on the floor and Stampy was wrestling Ash to get out of the door. Netty and Sqaishey were crying really hard, Stampy was acting like he had gone mad and Squid was lying on the floor in pain. All of this was my fault. I ran to Stampy and Ash and ran underneath their arms. I could hear Ash telling me to get out of there but I didn't listen, I pushed Stampy away from Ash and ran forward so he couldn't come closer. "Stampy stop!" I said through my tears. Stampy's expression changed from angry to upset as he looked around the room. Squid ran and stood inbetween me and Stampy. I could see from behind Squid, Sqaishey and Stampy hugging, I sighed in relief. Netty was still crying though and Amy and Tom went to sort her out.

Squid turned to me, "Are you okay?" He asked placing his hands on my shoulders. I nodded although I was shaking massively still. Squid wrapped his arms around me and the shaking subsided a little. He picked me up and carried me upstairs.
"While you were asleep Tom and Ash put some of your stuff out." Squid said as he opened the door to my bedroom. My room looked amazing! I had a double bed with a blue duvet and a wardrobe. I also had a desk with a load of all my things on it. "They put your posters on your desk as we thought that you would probably want to do that." I nodded. "This looks amazing! Thank you! I really don't deserve this." I said. "Of course you deserve it! You are the nicest girl I have ever met!" I ran up to him and hugged him. I loved it here and I had definitely decided that I was going to tell Squid my story.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
