Izzy's pov:
It was starting to get light when I heard a car pull up on the edge of the forest. This made me nervous as there wasn't a car park.
Then I heard someone say, "You're sure the lady said that this is where they went?"
I recognised that voice. It was the voice of Julie our social worker. I quickly woke Flo and told her to grab everything and run. I grabbed the blanket while she put the food that we had got out away.
"THERE THEY ARE!!" I heard someone yell.
We grabbed our bags and sprinted through the forest. It started to snow which made things ten times harder to run, I just hoped it didn't lay to thick so they wouldn't be able to trace out footsteps.
I could slowly hear their shouts getting further and further away so I looked back and instantly regretted it.
Although they were nowhere to be seen, I wasn't looking where I was running my foot slipped on the icy ground and down a rabbit hole, I screamed in pain. Flo was instantly by my side telling me to be quite. She pulled me up and helped me walk.
We took a sharp right so that if they followed the noise of my scream they would keep going straight. We sat down behind a rock so I could rest my ankle.
I pulled up my trouser leg and looked at it. It was purple all around the bone and massively swelled. I didn't know if it was broken or just badly sprained.
I heard a ripping sound so I looked up to see Flo tearing off her sleeve. She started to wrap it around my ankle. I told her that she didn't have to do that and she was just going to freeze to death but she wouldn't listen. I knew we couldn't stop so she helped me up and we continued on. I was starting to feel dizzy with cold and also the pain in my ankle was becoming unbearable. I just kept walking though as we couldn't stop or they would find us.

Eventually, we came out of the forest and onto a road. I turned back as I knew we couldn't walk along the road as we would get spotted, but Flo pulled me back on the road.
"It will be easier on your ankle." She said. I nodded and we continued. This is why Flo was my best friend, we were like sisters.
I knew that somehow, we would make it through this. Together.
