----- Dead Apple : Without Me
|| O8. An Angel, A Demon
THE full moonlight shines brightly, becoming one of the lighting sources for Dazai's vision. Unfortunately, the light cannot penetrate the thick fog below.
Dazai stared out of the glass wall from the high-rise tower of Yokohama's center, Shibusawa's main headquarter. His majestic brown eyes implied that he missed something. There was something missing and he really missed that.
White seems dominated the night. Dazai was already wearing a black shirt, white vest and white coat that was equipped with a brown tie, same as the color of the night sky and fog that covered Yokohama.
"Dazai-kun," someone called him. "Don't you get bored looking at it?"
"Bored?" Dazai asked the person with his back facing him.
"Yeah, it's boring." The person answered. "A sea of white and nothingness. A nondescript world."
"Tonight, all of the Yokohama's special abilities will become mine. Once again, no one will emerge whose intellect surpasses mine, who will defy my expectations. How boring!"
"I used to be bored, as you are." Dazai said.
"How did you overcome it?" Asked the person who is none other than Shibusawa Tatsuhiko.
"It's quicker to show you than to tell you." Dazai deflected his eyes from the fog that enveloped Yokohama. He walked to the dining table there. He pulled one of the chairs there and sat himself down. Dazai sighed because he was tired. Running away from Ango was not easy.
"See? Case in point: you don't know what my true intentions are." Dazai smirked. "Am I helping you? Am I going to use you or betray you?"
"You're the only one who thinks you can't be read."
"It seems you do need salvation." Said Dazai.
"Who do you propose could save me?"

"Who knows." Said Dazai. "An angel? Or a demon?"
"If you ask me, both of your intentions are obvious." Someone entered through the main door. Shibusawa turned and Dazai looked up. "You'll never write a good play with such lies. You've lost the audience, too."
Shibusawa chuckled. "Demon Fyodor-kun." He said proudly. "As collaborator, I'm going to have you dance as well."
"Collaborator?" Dazai underestimated him. "I think he's the most likely to betray you."
"You're correct, indeed." Fyodor sat himself down.
"No one has surpassed my expectations this far." Shibsuawa said to his new friends. He also joined to sat between Dazai and Fyodor. "I have my hopes up for you."
"Of course, it's the gifted of this town that I feel most sorry for." Fyodor said, pretending to be sympathetic. "No matter which of the three of us prevails, they will all perish."
Dazai put his hand in his pocket. He pulled a small crystal ball from the pocket. Crystal of Memories.
Dazai lifted it up at the light in the room. The crystal shines a little. Dazai looked at it a little longer. "What is that?" Tatsuhiko asked.
"Crystal of Memories." Dazai answered without looking at him. He was still staring at the blue crystal. "[Y/D/N] gave it to me. I promised her to go home as soon as all of this things done. But it doesn't seem possible for, right?"
Shibusawa chuckled. "Are you willing to throw away the person you care about the most?" Shibusawa asked. "After all, your daughter's ability will also be mine. You can meet your daughter in the next world."
Dazai was silent. "You're right."
'[Y/N], [Y/D/N], you must stay alive. Please hold on there a little longer. I'll make this quick!'
: Long enough? As always please enjoy this~ LOVE FROM DAZAI FOR YOU GUYS~
Beautiful art from zerochan.net. And I love the fact that Dazai has his hair tucked behind his ear. Oh gosh~! By the way, Shibusawa looks hot-!

Live Life Homunclus
The end is not always the end. Nothing is permanent, and even death itself is merely a transition. This fact holds true for a certain young man who died quite tragically on Earth. Lucky for him, a new life was just around the corner. A world filled with magic, adventure, and oh so many dangers awaited. Everything would be perfect, if it wasn't for the fact that he reincarnated into a homunclus. An artificial life-form said to possess almost zero combat capabilities. An exemplary example of pure breed cannon fodder. Surviving in a world where dragons roam the skies and monsters stalk the lands, wasn't this a bit too unreasonable?

Curious Tales: Assorted Fantastical Fiction
These are a collection of my short stories which don't feature gender bending front and center but do involve horrors, fantastical delights, and weird surprises. They may involve something as simple as a house on a swamp overlooking the dreams of the past or a byzantine battle between time travelers for what they see as the "right" timeline. And be as shiver-inducing as being locked in a school at night with disembodied shadows or as sweet as an old stuffed animal with a special secret.

Hope
There were 2 options: Fight the same war for countless more aeons. Shatter the Betrayer's undead legions time and time again until all was ground to dust. Because the endless legions truly never end. A hair's breath of ground in a century is enough if the war takes all of eternity. Or to choose Hope. To cast away his memories, his power, his very life. To wager everything on a chance to prevent their eventual end or to perish trying. Because if he were to return it would be with the power necessary to finally slay what remains of the Betrayer. Of the last Aspect. Only then would all things be right. And so, he chose the latter. Expect:Weak to strong quick-ish.Powerful MC reincarnates, gradually starts regaining memories.MC that is an actual character not a plot device. My original unique magic system discovered along with the MC.My original setting with mythos that have both been living rent free in my head for actual years.Opening arc will be less fast than the following story. Good writing (I think) and grammar. Upload schedulle: 2 chapters a week of 3-4k words each. I want to upscale to 3 in the future. Meant to be read in RR dark mode. For those coming here from my other stories, this is indeed a reimagining of my older story, CotM. I say reimagining because I have changed so much it cannot be called just a rewrite. Among the major changes, MC is fundamentally different in personality and background, I have actually planned the story out and changed it almost completely and I have adjusted my mythos so it no longer has as many holes as swiss cheese.
