《Hinanami ship week》Day 2 - Date

(Inspired by the image at the top!)
Chiaki Nanami and Hajime Hinata have been technically dating for quite a while now. After she stopped him, a month later he confessed...but nothing much changed, honestly. Maybe a bit more blushing, maybe a bit less personal space, maybe more hugging and hand holding...but really, they haven't done much couple-stuff yet. Not even the first kiss. Not even first names! Neither of them were in a relationship before this...Hajime didn't have enough confidence, and Chiaki was too introverted. And obviously they'd go to the fair by the shore after school together. It's mainly not romantic, but there are quite a few Hinanami moments!
Hajime was happier than usual all day, and not even Natsumi's cruel remarks or the boring lecture could get to him. When he walked to their meeting spot, you could call what he felt confidence. He evidently had some more of that when he met Chiaki. "Hey, Nanami? Are you ready?" He smiled when he saw how obviously excited she was, perking up from her device immediately. And it was adorable. "Yeah!" Chiaki quickly bounced up, and ran to his side. It was a peaceful walk, the soft wind cooling them in the warm spring weather. It wasn't an awkward silence, but a comforting one. And before Hajime knew it, the loud chatter and laughing flooded their ears, and the smell of food and people was in the air. "Wow...this is kind of overwhelming. What should we do first?" Hajime asked as he grabbed a map. "I don't know...maybe we should just browse and take it as it comes?" Chiaki suggested. "Are you sure? We could miss out on something." Hajime cautioned. "Yeah, it's always more fun to live in the moment, in my opinion." She looked back at him and smiled, which Hajime couldn't help but return. "Wait! Look!" Suddenly, something must've caught her eye, as she grabbed his hand and ran over. He could already tell this would be a fun day.
Carrying a teddy bear and a rabbit plushie from a random claw machine, the couple bravely ventured on through their theme park adventure. And it was time for one of the most fun parts- the rides! Specifically, roller coasters. Chiaki saw that this one was apparently the largest one, and it hovers above the ocean. You entered through a room and then go out in the open, so they couldn't see the end. Even more specifically, But for now, the line. "Sorry-!" Hajime accidentally elbowed Chiaki's arm. She smiled cheerfully, and looked on ahead. "It's okay-oh!" Someone must've pushed him. As the line was finally over, he realized his arm happened to be around Chiaki's waist. Wait, what?! He quickly took it off. She noticed he was blushing, and realized, therefore blushed too. "Sorry again!" Hajime apologized. "It's alright, we should go on now, right?" She smiled kindly in this situation, which caught him off guard, but he did too. A completely normal situation, but she manages to make it special. She blurs the line between talented and untalented for him. Romantics and deep thoughts aside, roller coasters! Yay! Chiaki rushed ahead, and the couple sat down. Quite a few people boarded the roller coaster. "Do you like this kind of thing? Roller coasters and rides and stuff." Hajime asked. "Hmm...I guess? Carnival games VR is really fun, but I never really went to them much. For me, all it would've just been lonely. How about you?" She was quick to change the subject. "I used to, but now I don't go to them much, because I'm always was busy with schoolwork and stuff." Hajime replied well wondering about her answer as she wondered about his. "3...2...1...go!" Before they could get that much wondering done, the roller coaster zoomed to a start, and it was fast! And very random and curvey. Hajime smiled, feeling like a kid again as he clenched the bar. He felt so free. He looked at Chiaki, and she looked so excited for what was to come. She could be cute and naive, but she was brave, dependable, and sometimes wise. She was always there, a feature in his life he took for granted until she saved him. She was far from perfect; she had bags under her eyes, her dorm room is messy, she's naive, she doesn't pay much attention when she's gaming, she can be reckless when it comes to herself, and her style is more so random energy spikes opposed to a consistent, steady progression; but she was perfect to him. "Hinata! We're entering the cave!" Chiaki commentated, as he looked in her direction. Sure enough, a large cave structure with stone, dirt, dusty plants, and a few pieces of wood that resemble a sign that withered away consumed them as they plunged into the darkness. Suddenly, drip. A droplet of water landed onto his nose. Drip drip. More droplets rained down, and he guessed everyone probably had a few land on them at this point. "Is it leaking?" Chiaki asked. "I guess we'll find out..." still in the darkness, suddenly he heard an unmistakable sound. "The ride's in water now, and it's probably intentional. I know it's above the water, but I didn't think this was a water ride..." Chiaki whispered. "Oh boy." Hajime mentally prepared himself to get wet. "Light!" Chiaki whispered. He opened his eyes, and saw that a drop was coming. A big drop. And not a water drop. He scooted upwards in his seat, and looked outside of the cart. Yep, they were on top of water. He felt Chiaki, probably subconsciously, move closer to him. They took hold of the rails and prepared for the fall. He felt water suddenly spill all over his hair and the back of his shirt. The same happened to Chiaki, the usually lazy too-big T shirt clinging onto her skin. But the drop: it was basically straight down. "Aaaaaagh!" They both smiled, and looked much more carefree and childlike than usual.

"Oh no! The plushies!" As our daring heroes got off the water roller coaster, Chiaki realized the plushies must've been ruined. Hajime took them out of the plastic bag. They were damp and wet, but undamaged. "They're fine, but we shouldn't go on more rides until we dry off. I don't want to slip off or annoy anyone." He suggested. "Okay. I don't know if any towels are around here, they'd probably be by the beach part. I guess we should just air dry and get some food?" Chiaki advised. "What should we get?" Hajime asked. "I don't know, whatever's close...maybe some Takoyaki?", "I think I saw some over there." They got their food, and decided to sit down in the public garden. After finishing their food and drying off, something caught Chiaki's eye. "Hinata, can we make flower crowns?" She seemed excited by the idea. "Flower crowns? Okay, but I'm warning you. Mine probably won't be very good." He warned. "That's okay! I don't really mind. As long as I'm making one with you, It'll be fun. I'm not very good at arts and crafts either." Hajime blushed and looked away.
The duo walked off and proceeded with their incredible journey with flower crowns, damn clothes, two plushies, full stomachs, two plushies, and high spirits. Time for another great battle...the game stands! First opponent...stacked cups! Weapon...rubber ball! Character- Hajime Hinata. Using his logical character trait, he aimed for the bottom middle. But his throw was slightly off and the angle was accidentally impractical, so it hit the top of the cup causing an area of cups to fall down and the cups on top of them. But a majority of the bottom row was undefeated! New character- Chiaki Nanami! Being the SHSL Gamer, she thought of her shooter games. She aimed precisely, and caused the entire tower to crumble, leaving nothing left! Her reward was a free panda themed paper fan. "Nanami, are you good at all games other than video games too?" Hajime asked. "My talent is video games, but I don't think it means this kind of game too, cuz I don't go to these things much." She explained. "How did you get this good at them?" He wondered. "Oh, when I was little my parents weren't around much. They weren't neglecting and they loved me, but they were almost always working. But they bought me loads of video games! I didn't talk much in school and I just gamed so people didn't have a high opinion of me, but it is what it is." Chiaki answered. "Sorry I asked such a personal question..." Hajime apologized. "No, it's fine! I swear." She insisted.

To close up their outing, now it being at around 4:00 pm, they went back to Chiaki's dorm room to play some video games. They sat down on Chiaki's sofa. "I had a fun time. Did you have fun?" Hajime asked. "Yeah, I did! It was really fun, hanging out with you and doing stuff. But first off, I have a question..." She trailed off. "What?" He asked. "I haven't really been thinking about it, but...did I do an okay job? By dating sim rules." Hajime knew what she meant. "Yeah, you did." Hajime blushed, but put his arm around Chiaki. She was nice and warm, and her room smelled like vanilla and sweet shampoo despite being quite messy. "Hinata...thanks." Chiaki thought about what the mc in her dating sim "Blush Blush" would do. After some thinking, she quickly and shyly kissed him.
