Grandma and Grandpa came over for a visit because they live out of town and we don't see them often.
"So," said Grandma, "Got a boyfriend yet?"
"No," I responded with a sigh.
"What about that boy your mom was talking about?"
"Just a friend," I responded with another sigh.
"Got a girlfriend?" Grandpa asked. "Because that's okay, too."
"Yes, I have many female friends, Grandpa, and they're great, thanks for asking."
"What about your sister?" asked Grandma.
Just a side note, at the time I was 17 and Little Sister was 14.
"Yeah, when she was 10, she 'dated'" I air quoted, "a guy, but because she was so young, Mom and I had to go with her."
"So, your 10 year old sister had a boyfriend and they went out on dates with you?" she asked, to which I nodded. "But who was your date?"
I thought for a moment and responded with a straight face, "Mom."
