《You're the guy my dad never shut up about? | S. Rogers [1]》26. Brooklyn

Galilea woke up at around 3:30 in the morning. She couldn't get enough sleep considering the argument Tony and her had a couple hours ago. She can't be under the same roof as him. She can't be in the tower with him. I need to get out of here.
She got out of bed, flicked the lights on and headed to the closet. She grabbed a suitcase and started to throw clothes in there. Once it was full she zipped it up, put on a pair of toms, a hoodie, grabbed whatever else she needed and left the room. She didn't want to make much noise once she was out of her room, so she used her powers to move the suitcase.
Gali got in the elevator and pressed the button to the garage. Several levels later, the elevator doors opened showing all the collectible cars. She stepped out of the elevator and grabbed the keys to one of the cars that are hanging on a hook.
"Jarvis, make sure the people upstairs don't wake up" She walked over to the car and put her things in the trunk.
"I've sound proofed their rooms until you are gone Miss Stark" Jarvis replied. Gali closed the trunk and got in the car.
"Don't tell them I'm gone" She started the car, opened the garage door and drove off into the streets.
The city lights beaming down to illuminate the streets and sidewalks. There are cars out in the street, people walking around. It's dark, it's quiet and cold. Galilea shivered as she rolled the window up. She drove down streets, stopping at lights, driving off again. Hence starting her drive to Brooklyn.
Galilea rolled up into the garage of one of the many houses her parents used to own. She got her bag and rolled it behind her as she made her way inside. She opened the door and stepped foot on the wooden flooring. Nothing has changed. Nothing.
It's exactly how it used to look like back in the 40s. The kitchen, the decoration, furniture, rooms, bathroom, living rooms, everything. Even the kitchen utensils are from the 40s. They still have the small TV, fully functional. Gali smiled when she saw all of it. Smiled at the picture frames on desks.
That house did take in many people. One of them being Peggy Carter. Her and one of her friends lived here after they were kicked out of the apartment building they used to live in. Peggy went through some kind of trouble on helping Howard Stark clear his name.
Apparently someone broke into his vault, stole some weapons, and sold them to different people. The police thought he sold them to the enemy, so they tried to catch him and arrest him, but Peggy helped him. She managed to clear his name and so he was a free man. While Peggy lost her apartment along with her friend, Howard offered them to stay there, and they did.
Galilea made her way to her room and put her things down. She took her hoodie off, threw it aside and face planted on her bed. God, I'm so tired.
It took Tony nearly two hours to figure out where his sister had ran to. He had woken up and was ready to apologize. He went into her room but wasn't there. He then went to the kitchen but she wasn't there either.

He asked Bruce and Pepper if they've seen her but they didn't. They called the rest of the team but she wasn't with them. Tony did some thinking and thought about places where his sister could've run off too.
It took him a while but when it came to him it hit him like a ton of bricks. Of course! He thought. He drove out to their house at Brooklyn and found his sister laying on the couch, her long hair hanging from the side of the couch.
"What do you want Anthony?" Galilea coldly asked when she saw her brother walk in.
Tony slowly made his way towards her. She's lying on the couch, looking bored out of her mind.
"I'm sorry" he apologized.
"For?"
"For snapping at you like that" she raised an eyebrow "And for saying those things I said, which I don't mean, by the way. For being a horrible brother, for being the cause of most of your pains, for not being there when you need me too, for sending junk mail making it look like it's from Marlo from accounting, for-"
"Okay, okay" Gali sat up "First off you are not a horrible brother. You're a great one, and the only one I nee" Tony smiled at that. "Second, you're the one who's been sending junk mail to my office for the past year?! All this time I thought it was Marlo, when in reality it was you?" Tony nodded "I gave him a box of junk mail for his birthday... and for Christmas!" She yelled.
Tony tried to suppress his laughter but failed. Galilea smiled and wrapped her arms around her brother.
"I'm sorry" she apologized.
"I'm the one who should be apologizing. I'm so sorry for yelling and for arguing over stupid things. I know I should've told you about the accident, but I was too scared. I'm sorry, so so sorry" Tony rambled. Gali patted his head.
"All is forgiven, fruitcake"
They let go and their stomachs made a grumbling sound.
"Let's cook" she dragged her brother to the kitchen and they began to make some food.
Hours later, Tony and Galilea were laying around on the couches when the doorbell rang.
"You expecting someone?" Tony asked.
"If by expecting someone you mean a Chipotle worker going around door to door giving out free food, then yes" Gali went to the front door "Who is it?"
"Free chipotle"
Could it be? Could my dream come true? She excitedly swung the door open, expecting a chipotle worker with bags of food, but it was the team.
"Kami, you can't play with my emotions like that" Gali frowned.
"Here, I got you a cannoli" she handed her a small cardboard box before entering.
"Thanks" she thanked her.
Everyone else also entered without Gali inviting them in. A tall figure stood in front of her, she looked up just to be greeted by a pair of crystal blue eyes.
"Hello kitten" he smiled. Gali blushed.
"Hello sweetie" he leaned in to kiss her.
Her arms went around his neck as she stood on her tiptoes to kiss him back.

"Who's place is this?" Jane asked
"It was our parents, before we inherited it" Tony answered.
"Uh, what year is this from?" Natasha is playing with an old radio.
"The 40s" Gali replied.
"The 40s?" Steve asked.
"Yah, everything here is from the 40s" Gali nodded.
"Cool, I think Steve will be familiarized with all of thii- who are these little kids?!" Clint exclaimed, holding a picture frame of Tony and Gali when they were little.
"The owners of the house" Tony said in a duh tone.
"Who's the blonde?" Nat picked up a frame with an old picture of a blonde woman.
"Uh... uh... I forgot her name. Tony do you know who the girl in the picture is?" Gali asked her. He looked at the picture Natasha is holding.
"Um, she's aunt Peggy's friend... Nope, I forgot her name" Natasha put the frame back down.
"Isn't she the one who made out with dad?" Tony asked.
"He told you that?" Thor asked.
"No no, aunt Peggy did, and Jarvis" Gali answered.
The group went over to laze around on the couches, but Steve held her back for a moment.
"You know Peggy?" He asked. Gali nodded.
"Well I call her aunt Peggy for a reason. She used to give me money each time I saw her. She also taught me how to kick people" Gali said with a smile. "You're not mad, are you?"
Steve looked at her confused "What? No. Why would you ask that?"
"Because I didn't tell you that I know her. And that she used to live here with her blonde friend"
"Why did she live here?"
"Long story. Come on, let's join the others" She took his hand and joined the others who are sitting around.
As soon as Pepper saw her, she said "Okay Gali, you're aware that you're wearing a bright pink bra underneath a white shirt, and we can see it, right?"
Gali looked down and sure enough she could see bright pink on her chest. Oops.
"And second, what's up with the Rosie the riveter hair?" Gali immediately pointed to Tony.
"He did it, not me"
"Well thanks for busting me out" he rolled his eyes.
"Wait" Galilea started "How did you guys knew how to find us?"
"Tony said he was coming to Brooklyn, and this is your only hide out, out here" Pepper explained.
Thor picked something from the table with a confused face "What's this?" He held up a pink lighter.
"Oh, um, I was bored" Gali answered.
"So you put it in pieces?" Clint eyed the lighter that was in pieces.
"Say what you want, but I was bored" Gali sat on the floor and grabbed the pieces from the table.
She put them together but not to form a lighter, instead she made a small motorcycle. Once she was done she put it on the table.
"That's cool" Jane smiled. Bruce made a face as he tried to get comfortable on the couch.
"Okay, what am I sitting on?" He reached into the cushions and took out a handful of small toy cars.
"Hey, those are Leo's" Kami smiled.
"You're nephew?"
Kami nodded. This place is full of hidden treasures.
"God in heaven!" Galilea jumped at the sudden outburst of Kamilla.
"Hey Gali?" She asked.
"Yes?"
"Do you think Mr. Mendez will give me that A+ now?" Our old high school AP chemistry teacher? "Because I just found my AP chemistry book"
She took a book out from a kitchen cabinet and slammed it on the table, causing Gali to jump. She stared at it and sure enough, it was the book Kamilla lost many years ago during high school.
"What was it doing in there?" Gali flipped through the book that's covered in doodles. Kamilla shrugged.
Gali stopped on a page where 16 year old Kamilla wrote a note to her future self. Gali read it out loud.
"If I don't have a cute, smart boyfriend in my 20s then I've done something wrong" Gali snorted.
"And I have done nothing wrong. Good job me" Kamilla patted herself on the back.
Gali flipped through the book some more and noticed that she also took part in vandalizing the book. And her accomplices were pink highlighters and multicolored pens. She closed the book and saw Kamilla carrying a watermelon into the kitchen.
"They were giving them for free... in exchange for money" Gali snickered. Kamilla began to slice the watermelon.
"Remember the song we used to sing in Chemistry?" Gali asked.
Kami smiled, and thinking the same as her best friend, they broke out singing the periodic table song.
Steve and Bruce stared at their girlfriends in amazement. Tony wrapped his arms over their shoulders and ruffles their hair "Your girlfriends are nerds. I hope you both know that"
They spent the night there. They watched an old horror movie on the small tv. Clint was complaining about how small the tv is and the fact that you have to get up each time you want to control the volume or change the channel. They thought it was a nice change from 21st century technology to the 20th century.
"What the hell is this? Clint is fiddling around with a microwave from back in the day. He saw that it's a microwave and made a face "This is a time machine, not a microwave"
"Ah, my head" Thor grabbed the sides of his head as he closed his eyes. Natasha, Jane and Gali laughed at him.
"What is happening? What has this Midgardian food done to my head?" Thor demanded.
"It's called a brain freeze. It happens when you eat ice too fast" Jane explained. The brain freeze seemed to pass because Thor was up and ready to eat another popsicle.
"Yet he still grabs another one" Pepper shook her head. Tony walked in the crowded kitchen, phone in hand.
"We're going to California"
