《Demon Slime | Demon Slayer x Rimuru》Chapter 1: Demon World

Location: Tempest
I let out a deep sigh as I simply stared at ever-increasing pile of paperwork in front of me. At this point it might just be indefinite. Every time I would finish the paperwork that I was assigned, new ones would be delivered straight to my desk.
I was just finishing up my last couple of papers and it was already deep into the night. Not that I needed sleep but it was still tiring somehow, to stare out the window and realize it's night time.
'I wish I could do something rather than just sitting here and doing paperwork.' I thought spinning the pen I was holding in my hand. 'Things have been pretty dull around here ever since I defeated Yuuki. Even Guy doesn't approach me at this point. Not that I'm complaining.' I shrugged and just turned back to the papers
Suddenly, in the quiet of the room, there was a sudden voice inside of my head:
'Huh, I wish I could Ciel, but I can't bring myself to leave behind my subordinates. I am aware that they are very formidable and can deal with problems by themselves but what if something bad were to happen, like, for example, Guy showed up with a declaration of war and I wasn't here to defend this place.'
'Wait a minute, Ciel, I just realized, you're being fairly persistent about this. Is it possible that you are the one that wants to go and do something entertaining.' I chuckled.
Ciel stuttered.
'Wow, you really do keep going with that, don't you?' I thought as I turned back to my papers and continued to sign then.
'Being the Demon King really is hard work. If I knew this was going to happen, I probably wouldn't have gone through the trouble.' I thought as I stared off into the distance. "Ah, well, what's done is done, I won't regret anything if it's to save my friends." I said as I finished signing my last paper.

As if on queue, I heard a knock at my door.
"Rimuru-sama, I'm here to deliver the new paperwork that we just received."
I let out a long sigh as I got up and opened the door.
"Sure. Thank you, Shuna." I said giving her a warm smile as I took the papers.
She simply returned the smile, bowed, and left the room.
'You know, maybe that going into another dimension thing isn't that bad of an idea...' I gave it a quick thought while scratching my chin.
"Hey, Ciel-sensei, is there anyway to keep my subordinates and Tempest safe without expending too many magicules.'
'Hm, alright then, let's give it a shot.' I said as I raised my hand and then chanted,
Suddenly, a bunch of black smoke appeared and after it cleared, there standing in the middle of the smoke, stood a perfect copy of myself
I stood there admiring the beauty of my current form but immediately returned to my senses after realizing how narcissistic this may seem.
"Alright, now that I have the double setup, I would like to inform some people just in case my subordinates realize that the me they are serving isn't actually the real me." Of course, this is just in case this happens so the people that I inform can explain the situation and why I left, hopefully dissipating the shock which is inevitably going to come if they find out the truth.
'Ok, then, that's the plan.' I said as I summoned my most trusted allies.
"Ramiris, Milim, Veldora, Diablo, can you please come here for a second?" I asked as I just waited expectantly.
Within the span of a second, all of them were there right in front of me.
"This better be important, I was sort of busy." Ramiris said with a sassy attitude.

"What's up, bestie?! Do you have anything fun for me to do? Want to fight?" Milim said excited.
"Hey, Rimuru. Do you need anything?" Veldora said putting on a tough act, but deep down, I knew that this was just a façade and he was just a manga loving tsundere dragon.
"My lord, anything you want me to do for you. I will accomplish without fail." Diablo stated while bowing down in respect.
"Guys, calm yourself." I stated sweatdropping at their. "I just wanted to let you know that I will probably be going away for a long time" I said, catching the shocked look in their eyes.
"I'll probably be gone for a couple months, possible even years." I said scratching my head in nervousness. "Don't worry I'm sure everything will be fine though." I said trying to calm them.
As I finished that statement and all that was left in the room was silence, their reactions came out
"Hmph, this doesn't seem like a smart idea." Ramiris said with her sassy attitude.
"Nooo, Rimuru, you can't go! What will I do without you? I'll be bored with nothing to do!" Milim said starting to tear up.
Veldora simply gave a small "Hmph" and turned away from me.
What a tsundere.
"Of course, my lord. Anything that you desire." Diablo stated being as loyal as ever.
"Though if I may ask," Diablo said raising his hand. "What are we supposed to do if a Demon Lord decided this is the perfect opportunity to wage war against Tempest as you won't be here." He said with a questioning look.
"Fufufufu, don't you worry Diablo." I chuckled as I raised my hand. I chanted. The same black smoke appeared from before and once again, after the smoke cleared. There stood a perfect copy of myself.
Everyone stared at the perfect copy.
"This right here is a perfect copy of me." I said as I pointed at the copy. "I believe that it should be able to fulfill everybody's needs. Though, this is not the reason why I called you all here." I said with a serious tone.
"You see, just in case, if anybody figures out that the "Rimuru" they are serving is just a copy. I need you all to explain the situation and try to calm everyone down if anything bad were to happen."
"This is a very important task and I'm counting on all of you, alright?" I said giving everybody a warm smile.
"Yes!" Everybody answered, the sound echoing throughout the room.
"Alright then, thank you, you may leave." I sighed in relief they all seemingly vanished.
'Alright then, finally, the entertainment that I've been looking forward to.' I chuckled giddily as I started walking to the center of the room.
"Alright Ciel-sensei, open a portal to a random dimension in the rift.' I said with a small smile on my face. 'I wonder what challenges I'm going to face. What I'm going to do in that world. Who will I encounter? What am I going to do?' My thoughts racing as magicules filled the room.
Ciel said, obviously hiding the happiness behind her voice.
"Alright then, let's get going." I said as I jumped directly into the starry portal.
