No one's POV

A little boy is seen walking in the rain in the middle of the night. Wearing nothing but old and beaten up shorts.

???: It's so cold.

He was about to give up but notices a cave with a big opening, he started making his way towards it slowly. Once inside, he goes deeper into the cave with his head down not noticing a giant figure in front of him, he notices a giant foot, he finally looks up to see a dragon kneeling down looking at him

???: Wooooah.

The dragon looked at the boy very annoyed that someone entered his cave and disturbing his slumber. He cocks his towards the ceiling opening his mouth and shoots purple lighting, an attempt to scare the child away, but had the opposite effect. The boy smiles and runs up to the dragon, suprising him any other person would run away but not this boy.

???: That was awesome!

The dragon speechless doesn't know what to say or what to do, he sighs and finally decided to lay down and tried to fall asleep, he opened one of his eyes to still see the boy looking at him in awe.

Dragon: Go away.

???: Why?

Dragon: Your disturbing my sleep.

???: But I don't have anywhere to go.

The dragon sighs once more

Dragon: Fine, you can stay here just for the night.

???: Really?!

Dragon: Don't make me change my mind.

The boy gave the dragon a big smile

???: Thank you so much!

He laid down not close but not far from the dragon. A few minutes has passed, just then wind started picking up and coming into the gave. To the dragon it felt good nice and relaxing, the boy on the other hand was shivering he wasn't wearing much too keep him warm, the dragon noticed this and looked at him then closed his eyes, the boy decided to try to move a bit closer but chose not to, not wanting to bother the dragon anymore than he already did. The dragon opened his eyes and finally decided to do something he moved one of his wings in front of the boy blocking the wind and brought his index finger close to him and ignited his finger on fire making it like a campfire, the boy felt the heat and decided to get up and get close to the fire to stay warm. Both fell asleep.

(Timeskip)

It was morning the birds were out and chirping the temperature outside feeling nice and cool. The dragon was sitting outside watching the deer's and the birds live out their lives. He hears movement from behind he turns his head to see the boy coming out of the cave rubbing his eyes and adjusting to the light.

Dragon: I see that your awake.

The boy looks over at the dragon and smiles

???: Thank you for letting me stay thr night. I guess I'll go now.

The boy turns around walking away resuming his walk

Dragon: Wait.

The boy turns around

???: Huh?

Dragon: What's your name.

???: I-I don't have a name.

The boy looks down in sadness

???: I don't even remember my parents. I'm alone.

The dragon stands up towering over the small child

???: Well I'll give you a name since you'll be staying with me.

The boy looked up at the Dragon and gave him the biggest smile he can manage and ran up to the Dragon hugging his foot

???: Thank you. Thank you Thank Thank you Thank you!

Dragon: From now on your name will be Y/n L/n.

The Dragon got on his knee and looked at the boy giving him a small smile

Leonidas: And my name is Leonidas.

(Timeskip)

A few months has passed Leonidas is seen trying to teach Y/n how to spell

Leonidas: You got the letters mixed up..... again.

Y/n turned around looking at Leonidas annoyed

Y/n: Cut me some slack I'm doing my best!

Leonidas: This is the 20th time we did this!

Y/n: I know!

Y/n turned around trying to spell the letters again

Y/n: I'll get it right this time!

Leonidas's sweat dropped

Leonidas: You say that everytime.

(Timeskip)

A year has passed since Y/n stayed with Leonidas

Leonidas: C'mon on I know you can do it, shatter that boulder

Y/n is seen with huge bumps on his head

Y/n: It's not working!

Leonidas: Try harder.

Y/n turned around and jumped towards the boulder hitting it with his head. Y/n jumped up holding his head

Y/n: Ow ow ow ow ow!

Y/n turned around looking at Leonidas while pointing at the boulder behind him

Y/n: I told you it's not working!

Just then the boulder broke in half suprising Y/n

Y/n: I did it? I did it!

He jumped up and down happily, then turned around grinning and gave Leonidas a peace sign and Leonidas laughed at this

Y/n and Leonidas were seen talking

Y/n: Oh come on! Why won't you just let me sit on your back whenever you let me fly with you!

Leonidas: Cause it's dangerous your not strong enough yet.

Just then they heard something flying above them and saw another dragon

Leonidas: Get behind me quickly.

Y/n: Okay.

Leonidas stands up while Y/n his behind one of his legs. The dragon in the air landed in front of them

This dragon had red scales and a couple of scars on him

Leonidas: Oh it's just you Igneel.

Y/n:(Thoughts) Another Dragon?

Igneel: Who did you expect I was?

Leonidas: I thought you might be him.

Y/n:(Thoughts) Him?

Igneel: As you can see I'm not him. Anyway I came here to tell you-

Igneel noticed Y/n hiding behind Leonidas leg. Y/n noticed Igneel staring at him hid himself completely behind Leonidas's foot

Igneel: What's this? So you decided to train a human boy as well.

Leonidas: I have. But he will not take part what you and the others have planned.

Igneel: You don't have a choice now. The time will soon come.

Leonidas: He means to much to me. He. Will. Not. Take. Part.

Igneel looked at Leonidas then at Y/n then sighed

Igneel: Have it your way

Igneel turned around and flew up away from them. A few seconds has passed as silence filled the air until Y/n decided to speak up

Y/n: Leo who was that?

Leonidas: No one you should be concerned about.

Leonidas kneeled down and patted Y/n head

Leonidas: Come let's get some rest

Y/n nodded. Both made their way towards the cave to sleep

A few weeks has passed since Igneel left. Y/n and Leonidas were eating their food that Leonidas caught. Just then the bushes started rattling scaring Y/n who ran behind Leonidas. A woman with blonde hair and brown eyes came out of the bushes

Leonidas: Hello Anna.

Anna looked around trying to look for something

Anna: I heard you took in a human boy as well?

Leonidas: I have.

Anna: And where is he?

Looked behind him staring at Y/n

Leonidas: Y/n. Come out boy she won't hurt you.

Y/n showed himself he looked at Anna. Anna smiled and sat down holding her hand out

Anna: I won't hurt you, come closer so I can get a better look at you.

Y/n looked at Anna then at her hand he cautiously walked over towards her taking her hand. Anna started rubbing Y/n hair

Anna: You have beautiful green eyes.

Y/n: Um T-Thank you.

Anna smiled at you then looked at Leonidas

Anna: So you onboard with our plan?

Leonidas: I'll tell you what I told Igneel he will not take part in your plan.

Y/n was obviously confused he looked at Anna and Leonidas

Y/n:(Thoughts) What is this plan they're talking about?

Anna: Well I hope you don't mind if I come here every now and then.

Leonidas: I don't.

Anna: Good.

Anna looked at Y/n giving him a sweet smile

Anna: Guess you'll be seeing me more often.

(Timeskip)

Y/n was watching Anna sewing the dragon scales she got from Leonidas

Y/n: I thought Leo scales are black why are these one's white?

Anna giggled at this

Anna: Whenever dragon scales come off the dragon they lose their color.

Y/n: Ooooooooh. I don't get it.

Anna giggled once more

Anna: I bet you would've gotten along with the others.

Y/n turned his head to the side

Y/n: Others?

Anna: Kids just like you, staying with other dragons.

Y/n was shocked kids like him staying with other dragons like Leonidas

Anna: All done.

Anna handed Y/n a scarf she made out of Leonidas scales

Anna: I made it but think of it a gift from Leonidas.

Y/n put the scarf around his neck and started smiling

Y/n: Thank you!

(Timeskip)

Birds were flying in the sky peacefully but then they were pushed away by Leonidas on his back was Y/n holding on for his dear life but having the time of his life

Y/n: This is amazing!!!

They slowed and started soaring in the hair. Y/n was looking around excited

Y/n: And you said I was weak, but I still managed to hang on.

Leonidas: I wasn't trying to knock you off.

This shocked Y/n who just now realized if Leonidas really wanted to knock him off he would've done it

Leonidas: Hold on!

Then Leonidas dive bombed straight down causing the little boy to hang on tight

(Timeskip)

Y/n was watching Leonidas who put his hands together making a flower out his lighting

Y/n: Woah that's so cool! How'd you do that!

Leonidas laughs a bit at the question

Leonidas: There's more to lightning than just punching with it. You can create things with it like this flower or-

He slams his palms together and pulling them apart making a spear

Leonidas: A weapon.

Y/n: Woah! Teach me!

Leonidas: I will in due time.

(Timeskip)

Y/n and Leonidas were laying down getting ready for bed, just then the wind picked up and they hear a dragon roaring. Leonidas instantly knowing who it was

Leonidas: Igneel. I'll be back Y/n

Y/n: O-Okay

Leonidas exits the gave to meet Igneel who was waiting for him

Igneel: The time has come.

Leonidas: I told you he will not take part in your guy's plan

Igneel: Do you think you can take Acnologia on your own? Do you think you can protect him?

Leonidas was about to speak but couldn't think of anything to say

Igneel: That's what I thought.

Leonidas looked at the cave where Y/n was at

Leonidas: In the past, I was always angry wanting to fight every dragon I came across. I burned villages to the ground slaughtered both humans and dragons I was feared by humans and dragons. I spent years trying to find my purpose. When all of a sudden this human boy stumbled into my cave. I was annoyed I wanted him gone. I showed him my destructive power thinking he would run. But he did the opposite. The days I spent with him I finally realized I found my purpose. It was to be this boys father. I loved him as if he was my own child.

Igneel: I know the feeling, but we have to do this for them.

Leonidas was silent for a few seconds but then spoke up

Leonidas: I'll do it.

A few minutes have past since Leonidas and Igneel talked. Y/n was laying down next Leonidas. He got up and laid on his nose causing the dragon to open his eyes and smile

Y/n: I love you dad.

This shocked the dragon for this is the first time he called him dad

Leonidas: I love you too my son.

The boy smiled and closed his eyes

Y/n: Goodnight dad.

Leonidas: Goodnight my son

A few seconds later Y/n was sound asleep the smile on Leonidas face turned into a sad one, a single tear running down the dragons face

Leonidas: Goodbye my son.

(The next morning)

Y/n eyes started opening. Expecting to be in the cave with his father, only to be suprised to find himself in the middle of the forest

Y/n: Huh?

He looked around surveying his surroundings

Y/n: Leo?

Y/n started walking that soon turned into a run with tears forming in his eyes

Y/n: Leo! Leonidas!

He stopped and dropped to the ground crying while on his knees he then looks up at the sky shouting

Y/n: FATHER!

( A month later

Y/n is seen sitting down on the grass at a park rain pouring down from above.

Y/n: Leo.

A woman wearing a white trenchcoat holding an umbrella noticed the young boy out in the rain. She walked towards him kneeling down to his level and bringing the umbrella over his head. Y/n noticed this he looked up and saw her. She had white hair with red eyes.

???: Hello there what's your name?

Y/n: My name it's Y/n. Y/n L/n.

Yui: My name is Yui. Yui Bartlett. Come let's go.

Y/n looked at Yui confused

Y/n: Go where?

Yui looked at Y/n with a sweet smile

Yui: Home.

(Six years later)

It's been 6 years since Yui found Y/n, who is now 16 years old. The young man is seen sitting in a dim lit room, his eyes closed as his palms are pressed against each other. He pulls them apart using his lighting which is blue he creates a flower, that Leonidas showed him long ago. Just then a knock is heard on his door breaking his concentration the flower disappearing.

Y/n: Y-Yes.
