《Save The Netherworld, Iruma-Kun!! || A WTDSIK Fanfiction》Chapter 11: The harvest festival
The harvest festival. The two days of the month where Iruma got to have a break off of school and watch the older teenagers bumble around like idiots. Atleast, that's how Kalego told Iruma it would be while Bunji and Iruma were playing in his empty classroom.
Kalego had not been been happy when Bunji ate all his chalk, but warmed up to the big cat once he saw how excited Iruma was around him.
Currently, Iruma was waiting with Kalego while Balam got himself ready. Him and Kalego were going to participate in the festival, and Iruma was being allowed (Along with Asmodeus, Clara, and various other students) to sit in on the contest, and watch what they'd have to do soon.
"Kalego-Senpai, will we be able to help count the points?" A smirk appeared on Kalegos face, and he shakes his head.
"No, everything is automated now. We don't even need to really count." Balam steps out of his office, picking Iruma up as they leave the school and fly to where the festival was taking place.
"I hope your excited Iruma." Balam says. "This event is always fun. Students vs students."
"Idiots vs idiots more like it." Kalego huffs, fixing the bags in his arms. "The students these year are more idiotic than usual, I'm suprised they're all allowed to participate in the festival this year.
"Oh come on, Kalego. They've gotten better, right Iruma?" Iruma usually say in on Kalegos lessons. He taught first year highschoolers, and When Iruma didn't have class or was finished with his own classes he sat in on Kalegos classes.
"Uhm, well..."
"See?" Kalego grins and Balam huffs, landing at the site. "They're all idiots, like I said."
"Iruma-Kun!! Balam-Sensei, Kalego-Sensei!" Asmodeus bounds up to them like a little lost puppy, and Clara follows suit. "Your early!!"

"Yeah, Dad just finished his classes so we could get here on time." Iruma let's Clara nearly tackle him in a hug. "Has it started or-"
"Not yet! All the students are still getting set up." Asmodeus says, pulling him into the area. Kalego and Balam followed them in, chatting amongst themselves. "There's a boy here names Kirio who was looking for you."
"Yeah, I told him he could watch with us." Iruma replies, looking around. The area was HUGE. A entire forest was spread out infront of him, but there were walls on some of the sides, Iruma guessed it was to make sure students didn't go out too far.
A tent-like building was infront of the forest, and for some reason, the sight of the woods terrified Iruma. He glanced at the building again. It was pretty, and as they walked into it, Iruma could see Kirio, who was sitting by himself.
"Kirio! Hi! I didn't expect you to be here this early." Iruma sits beside the older boy. "How are you doing?"
"Oh, Iruma!" Kirio seemed suprised to see him. "I-i didn't.. know you were coming. I mean after what happened-"
"I wanted to see the tournament! It's a big thing, and plus my dad's working today." Balam waves at the group, heading deeper into the tent. "Ready for the show?" Kirio seemed to get anxious after that, shifting around.
"Yeah. I'm ready."
-
Kirio didn't want Iruma here. He had hoped that spreading more rumors about Balam around school would force the principal to reconsider letting the man come but- the man was there to make sure nobody was cheating.
He feels his phone vibrate, and he slips away from the small group, awnsering it.
"When I call I expect you to awnser right away you fucking idiot! How hard is it to awnser a call?!"

"I-i'm sorry sir, I had to leave the group. It looks like Balam's still here. Sullivan's also here, but the plans are still in place."
"I thought you said that you could get Sullivan out of there!" Kirio tries not to flinch as he heard Baal's fist slam down into a table. Even though he was never scared of the man usually, it still made him flinch whenever Baal showed serious agression. "You worthless little-"
"I tried to get them both out but neither would leave. I even tried to do what you told me to Sullivan's house, but his worker, Opera... He stopped me." Baal huffed, sounding fustrated.
"Where's the bombs? Have you even broken your collar yet?" Kirio unconsciously starts playing with the collar peice.
"Not yet, sir. It's almost ready, although I have a request."
"Continue?"
"There's.. younger demons here that could die. If I activate my-"
"The only person staying alive during this is you, Kirio. Everyone else will be casualties. I know Sullivan will still be alive, so don't worry about him."
"Understood." Kirio glanced back at Iruma and the others, biting his lip. "We have ten minutes, just about. The tent will be inside the radius, will you come with the other thirteen after it-"
"Ofcourse. I'm apart of the Thirteen, I have to come! To save Babyls and the poor students that may be trapped underground." Baal laughs, and Kirio stays quiet. "Ten minutes eh? I'll start getting myself ready. Kirio, I suggest you break your collar. The power has to start building up."
"Y-yes sir-" The phone hangs up, and Kirio looks at Iruma, who was laughing with Asmodeus and Clara. Kirio sighs, grabbing his trinket, breaking it as he walked back in, feeling the power rush into his body.
He made a tiny barrier, yet it doesn't stay for long, and when he sits down beside Iruma again, he remembers the garden. If he got caught he'd have to go back there- and that place, although amazingly delicious for him- was not where he needed to be.
"Hey, Kirio!" Iruma looked over at him with a smile. "What type of candy do you like more? Gummies or hard candy?"
"Well, i-" He doesn't get a chance to awnser. The ground starts shaking, and the teachers whisper, before the floor cracks. Kirio makes a barrier around himself, sighing as Iruma holds onto the table. "I'm sorry, Iruma-Kun." Iruma loooked over at him confused, before the entire tent collapses, and the ground with it.
