Joocie's point of view :0 :
What a wonderful day to plan for war.... Most of our soldiers have become sick with an unknown virus... It hasn't ended well so far. About 1/4 of our army remains, and the king still plans to attack. At this point the enemy will have a larger army than us, and there's nothing we can do about it. The Kingdom of Makaes (just go with it, it's basically Laff's kingdom) has been our enemy for years... Being honest, I wish to join their side. They had a good point many years ago, no king should have control over such a large territory, we can barely handle the land we have. Every single day I lose more brain cells listening to these imbeciles make up their plans to take over a land much larger, and a king much smarter, than ours. Why am I even staying in the first place? I haven't much choice... If anyone here finds out what you're planning, you'll be dead faster than you can say "298,919,929."
So what's going on now? Well.... Most of our soldiers are struggling to get up, while I sit outside of our tents, writing in my notebook. I keep it with me at all times.... Maybe when I die archeologists will find it and learn about our history or something. I never was a big fan of the past, but knowing our history helps me understand why they think that this is a good idea in the first place. Like I swear every single person I talk to gets rid of 25% of my remaining brain cells. That too much math for me.
Well ride into battle in approximately-
I was not able to finish what I was writing, I heard gun shots and screaming.

"WE'RE UNDER ATTACK! EVERYONE UP!" I heard someone scream throughout our base. I never wanted to sign up for this in the first place, so if I get a chance to run, I will. Our entire team attacking the other.... Perfect time to run away. What's the king going to do? He can't exactly prove what did or did not happen to me if he can't find me. These thoughts are the reasons why I did, I did run away. Unfortunately things don't always plan out the way you want them to, so I couldn't get very far before running into an enemy.
And before I could even comprehend what was going on, I was lying on the ground in a blood pool. My vision was blurred, but I could still see an unfamiliar face pull the spear our of my stomach.

Laff's point of view:
I watched to the side as Julio threw a spear through someone, they dropped, and he pulled the spear back out of their stomach. I felt bad for them, they were only trying to run away, and they looked very young. Probably in their late teens, maybe 19. Moments after Julio had injured the young man, he was breathing heavily, staring at the sky.
Our army seemed to be winning this one, there was a lot less of Pika than we thought. I watched as body after body fell to the ground, each dying a different way. A slit throat, a stab through the chest, a gunshot to the head, even some being strangled. Most of them came from Pika, but a few from our side. Julio was clearly ready for this, he was a killing machine. Even if I wanted to hurt any of the others, which I didn't, I would never get the chance because Julio made sure they all stayed a good 20 feet away. He's the best assistant ever.... Anyways, back to the present.

The battlefield was covered with dead bodies, there were very few of Pika left. I have no idea what actually happened to their army, but I guess it's better for us. As the day came closer to an end, the battlefield became covered with even more bodies. It eventually came to the point we're the king and his remaining men decided it was better to run away than to continue fighting a losing battle. They fled the place, leaving multiple wounded soldiers behind. A lot of them were still alive, they were in deep pain. I had my army kill every single living soldier from the kingdom of Pika. All except for one...
"Pika has fled, what shall we do now?" Julio asked.
"Kill all of their injured men. The less of them the better."
Slowly they went through killing the wounded, until Julio came across the teen from earlier. He was surprisingly still alive, breathing slowly but heavily, and just watching us. You could tell he never wanted to be here in the first place.... Julio walked up to him and drew his sword, but something inside told me that it'd be better to let him live.
"Julio, wait."
He turned around to look at me instead of the half dead teen lying on the ground.
"What is it?"
"I want you to spare him. Go get the remainder of our army prepared for the long march back to Makaes."
He didn't question, he instead nodded and left. The poor kid on the ground closed his eyes, still breathing very slowly.
Why'd you even spare this kid in the first place? Why do you feel something about him is different?
He was part of the enemy's army, but he didn't feel like the enemy. I knew right off the bat that something here wasn't right... I'd have to figure it out in the future. We have a while to go in order get back home, and if we wanted to get there before dawn, we had to leave quickly. The teen on the ground seemed to have fallen unconscious or something, but he wasn't dead, he was still breathing. I picked up the kid, who was pretty light, and began the march to Makaes with my army.

Howard's Growth
In the not too distant future, the concrete of a new world has been laid to replace the dying Earth of old. In this world, one must provide value or perish in ignominy. Howard Manfield, like most pawns, fashions himself a king of his realm. Presiding over the corporatized dominion of genetic engineering, Howard was yet haunted by memories unknown to him. In truth that was what he remembered most, it was more the substance of absence more than any meaningful presence on a color spectrum. It would not be until the first and last of his fated 'finding quests' that Howard Manfield would learn his place among his memories.

Re: (Union//Incarnation)
Two years ago, a meteor fell and decimated the southeastern lands of Gaia, turning them into wastelands constantly shrouded in white fog. None of those who saw the blazing calamity with their own eyes lived to tell the tale, and those who attempted to venture in never came back. Since then, towers, caverns, and ruins have appeared and disappeared without a pattern. Those who were brave enough to venture in were rewarded with a partner capable of defying the natural laws as humanity knows it. People started to call them ‘Incarnation’, and before long, more and more Incarnation were gathered and sold as commodity, especially after a billionaire has sponsored a fighting tournament offering cash prizes to those possessing the strongest Incarnation, spurring the greedy and desperate to hunt for the fabled creatures at the cost of their lives. Claire Saphira wanted none of that. She simply wished for a life where she could live without worry of her own survival. As she ran from the debt collectors for the umpteenth time, she was swallowed by an errant tower, where she saw a frail, pale-skinned girl with ashen hair hung by chains. It was a chance, a chance to participate in the tournament and live without worrying about survival. Yet, something nagged in the back of her mind. Why did she look so familiar? Planned release schedule: One chapter every day for Mon-Fri, and a break on Sat-Sun. The release will slow down at some point, but most likely won't go under 3 chapters a week.
