(Sorry it is a little shorter than other parts, I had some trouble thinking of how to open this segment 😅)
A gentle breeze flew by as Laff sat at an outside table at a small cafe down the block from his apartment complex.
Laff hummed quietly as pulled out his phone to check his recent texts. A couple of days ago, he texted the woman he had met at the grocery store; Wictoria. After some small conversations, the two decided to meet up outside of their separate workplaces for some coffee.
Just a small little meet-up between a couple of adults, there ain't no shame in that.
That's why Laff had Socks and Meme come over to his place to watch Nadwe while he and Wictoria got to know each other. He just only hopes that the two don't trash the place, or if not them no one else if they decide to invite the rest of their friends. Taking his mind off what could happen, he checked through his latest texts to Wictoria.
-CowLady-
"Of course! ^-^" [Sent: 6:32pm]
"Will little Nadwe be there? :>" [Sent: 6:34pm]
-CowLady-
"Awww! :< Well, That's okay I guess." [Sent: 6:40pm]
"Still looking forward to seeing you there!" [Sent: 6:42pm]
Truth be told, Laff was kind of worried about getting more and more people outside his friend circle know about Nadwe. He wasn't entirely sure if Nadwe was a half-vampire or not, but Laff sure as hell wasn't going to let anyone lay a hand on him. So it was probably a smart move keeping Nadwe hidden for the time being.
"Mr.Gas man is that you?~"
Looking up, Laff was met with the sight of Wictoria walking towards him, waving her hand happily. He chuckled and stood up, smiling "Miss Wictoria! It is a pleasure to see you again!" He reached over and shook her hand as Wictoria giggled happily "And the same to you!"

Laff let go of her hand and gestured to the table "Would you like to have a seat or grab a cup of joe or 'ea first?"
Wictoria walked over to the table "I don't mind sitting for a minute to chat." Laff nodded softly and sat back down in his chair as Wictoria sat across from him.
The two spent the next half hour talking about any topic that came to mind. Laff talked about his experience with law school and his job as an individual detective for the P.D. In return, Laff learned about what Wictoria did for a living; she owned a business called "Bossy Beauties", a makeup manufacturing company and a beauty salon. Her business was ranked the 12th best in the country which is a high honor. Her products were sponsored by Katty Perry, which was something that impressed Laff.
Laff checked the time on his phone and let out a soft huff "Oh boy, I better get home soon..."
Wictoria frowned softly "Aww, so soon? We are having such a good time."
Laff scratched his head "Well I did leave Nadwe with my friends. I don't want to impose or leave my son with them too often." Sitting up, Wictoria smiled softly "Well, why don't I come over and meet your friends? If they are as nice as you I would be delighted to meet them!" Laff's eyes widened as he smiled "Hey, that is a good idea, you'll love Socks and Meme!" He stood up "They both have been a couple of my closest friends since I was in law school."
Wictoria smiled and stood up, placing her chair back. "Why don't we grab some cups of coffee and then head on over?" Laff nodded softly and walked over to the cafe door, opening it for her.
"Aw, thank you Laff!"
Laff smiled softly and walked in behind her, waiting in line with her.
(I promise the next part will be longer 😅)
