《The Pig and the Frog》TEN

I'm full of excitement when I wake up this morning. I quickly go to my bathroom and put on a black dress and black converse. So fancy right? I laugh to myself as I brush my hair and throw it up in a ponytail.

I look in the mirror and shrug. Nothing can make the smile on my face go away. I hope at least. I rush down the hallway and grab a banana. As I go to leave, I run into Caleb.

"Oh sorry Caleb!" I apologize, and go to leave. I can see him scowling at me, and he rolls his eyes. I shrug, once again, and leave the house.

I make my way to school, casually eating a banana. I hope I can see him. I really really do! Maybe he will be here today? He didn't seem sick yesterday, so why would he not be there?

I get to the school, faster than yesterday, and try to keep a smile on my face. But my face drops after I walk inside. I forgot to take my medication! Oh geez Tris, why did I forget. Out of every single day, it had to be today!

I turn the corner to get to my locker, and I see the dark skinned boy, Uriah, standing there. I can see him smirk as I walk over to there.

"Um Uriah?" He blinks and I half smile. "Why are you smirking?" He shrugs and laughs it off. A confused look must be in my face right now.

"Oh...just watching all the guys stare at you, as if you were candy or a trophy." I blush and turn around. I see a few people turn away, but that might just be a coincidence.

"You don't mean that. You're lying. I know I'm not pretty, so no need to say that." His face falls, and I look down, not able to keep eye contact with him.

"What do you mean Tris!" I'm frightened my his high tone, and I take a step back. He seems to notice because he calms down a bit. "What do you mean you're ugly? I bet when Four sees you, he's gonna like you!" I smile a bit, but hide it. Or try to at least.

"And he doesn't like anyone!" He adds. I doubt that's true. He probably has dated every girl in this school. So I just nod. I turn back to my locker, and open it up.

Uriah's eyes glance into my locker before I have the chance to hide that picture. "Hey! He looks familiar!" My hands start shaking, and I don't know why. "I just can't put my tongue on it!"

I fake laugh a little and grab a book and close it. "Doubt it." I say, trying to cover up. "He lived in...um...Cali with me." He nods, but I'm not sure if he's completely convinced. I smile and walk away, hearing that the bell has rang.

And I'm still wondering where Tobias is.
