I walk out of the room but my brother stops me grabbing my hand. I wince he obviously didn't realize I was still injured. "What was it you wanted?" I asked. He makes sure nobody else is nearby. "You need to be careful. I think Eric is starting to realize your divergent don't ask how I know that but erudite and dauntless are planning something to take out abnegation and divergents" he says. I pause, not sure what I should ask. "Do you know about the other divergent in dauntless?" I'm not giving it away right now I don't even know if I could trust him to know about Tris. "I have a feeling I know who it is" He says. I nod. "Was that all?" I asked not wanting him to confront me. "I- I'm sorry about Marcus you have to understand that I had to leave. I wouldn't have made it much longer and if you don't want to talk to me then that's understandable but there was nothing I could've done anyway it was my one ticket out" he said. I stopped his pity speech. "Tobi- Four you don't have to apologize. I am...WE are finally free from Marcus and his treachery" I said. He laughed. I was getting hungry. "Come on let's go eat, I'm starving," I said, grabbing his hand and pulling him to the cafeteria. Fours sitting at his table and I'm sitting with Christina Tris and Al. Christina nudges Tris and me. “I’m surprised he didn’t break you in half,” she says. She makes a face at Four. I laugh. “He scares the hell out
of me. It’s that quiet voice he uses.” she says to me. It's hilarious considering he's my brother and I don't think Christina knows.
“Yeah. He’s…” Tris pauses in the middle of her sentence leaving me interested. I don't think anybody knows Four is Tobias. If anyone does though it would be Eric “…definitely intimidating,” she says. I look up to her and she's looking at him. From in front of us Al says, "I want to get a tattoo" “A tattoo of?“ I ask curiously . "I don’t know.” Al laughs. “I just want to feel like I’ve actually left the old faction. Stop crying about it.” When we don't talk he looks back at us. “I know you’ve heard me.” “Yeah, learn to quiet down, will you?” Christina pokes Al. “I think you’re right. We’re half in, half out right now. If we want all the way in, we should look the part.” She gives me and Tris a look. “No. I will not cut my hair,” I say, “or dye it a strange color. Or pierce my face.” Tris says looking at me. Al slows down and starts walking with us as Will steps in next to me. “How about your bellybutton?” she says.“Or your nipple?” Will snorts. " I don't know, maybe I will." I smirk, obviously being sarcastic. With training being over we are allowed to do whatever we want and I know Christina is going to want to use this chance to do something. After dinner we go to The Pit which is full of people. Christina announces that Christina Tris and I are going to meet Will and Al at the tattoo parlor and pulls us towards a clothing shop. We walk up the path going higher above the Pit. We kick rocks and stones as we walk. “What is wrong with my clothes?” I say after Tris and Christina got into an argument about what clothing I should wear. “I’m not wearing gray anymore. That's something right?" I continue “They’re ugly and gigantic.” Tris says, looking between Christina and me. “Will you just let me help you? If you don’t like what we put

you in, you never have to wear it again, I promise.” Christina says. "I wouldn't say the same for me" Tris says. I nudge her jokingly. "Ok ok fine" she says rolling her eyes a playful smirk on her lips. Ten minutes later I'm changed into a black mini skirt black combat boots, a white t-shirt which is tucked into my skirt and a black leather jacket that Tris picked. I shrug. "It's really cute but assuming Tris picked this outfit that means Christina is next and while I'm all for it I've got a feeling this will be interesting" I say. "That better be a good interesting" Christina said, handing me clothes. I groaned and went to the changing room once again. Once done changing I look at myself in the mirror. I am glad to see this outfit at least has pants. Ripped jeans, combat boots and a black crop top that says 'Stubborn girl'. I smirk. "So?" Christina asks. "I love it", I said, doing the foot pop thing girls do. Now its Tris' turn we all decided that since we're meeting Al and Will at the tattoo parlor we only have time to do one outfit for Tris. Ten minutes later Tris comes out in a knee-length black dress. The skirt isn’t full, but it isn’t sticking to her either. Christina takes the tie from her hair off and Tris shakes her head which makes her long blonde curls fall. "It's amazing you two" she says.
A few minutes of spacing out later:
“Really?” Christina shakes her head. “Abnegation is a strange faction, I have to tell you.” Tris and her were talking about how she couldn't stare at her reflection for very long. In abnegation it was considered selfish. “Let’s go watch Al get tattooed,” Tris says. I agree not wanting to talk further about abnegation. Everything is more varied at the Dauntless compound. Every Dauntless gets a certain amount of points to spend per month, and the dress costs one of them. My outfit costs two each. Christina and Tris race down the narrow path to the tattoo place. I don't feel like running my body is sore and actually stiff. Once we get to the tattoo place Al is getting a spider tattooWhen we get there, Al is sitting in the chair already, and a small, narrow man with more ink than bare skin is drawing a spider on his arm. Will and Christina go through the books of tattoo designs nudging eachother if they ever find a good one. They both finally pick which one they want and sit next to eachother. They are so alike but yet so different from eachother I wouldn't be surprised if they started dating. Tris wanders around the room looking at the art on the walls she was probably thinking about abnegation again and how we didn't have art occasionally someone would draw something really good in a notebook or sketchbook but usually the only artists were in Amity. She runs her fingers against the decorated walls until she gets to a picture of a hawk.Beneath it is a sketch of a bird flying. “It’s a raven,” Tori says from behind Tris. “Pretty, right?” Tris turns to see who the voice belonged to, to be met with Tori's eyes. “Well, hello there.” She smiles. “Never thought I would see you again. Beatrice, is it?” She said, I was confused but ignored it. The main point was that they knew each other. “Tris, actually,” She says, correcting her. “Do you work here?” she asks. “I do. I just took a break to administer the tests. Most of the time I’m here.” she must've administered Tris' test. "I recognize your name. Charlotte isn't it?" She said looking at me. I nodded. " You were the first jumper werent you?" She said realizing. "I was Tris would've been first if not for me" I responded to her. “Well done.”

“Thanks.” I touch the sketch of the bird. “Listen—I need to talk to you about…” Tris glances over at Will Christina and I. “…something. Sometime.” she says. “I am not sure that would be wise,” she says quietly. They must be talking about Tris' divergency. “I helped you as much as I could, and now you will have to go it alone.” Tori speaks up. Tris makes a face. "Want a tattoo?" Tori asks. "Yes" she replies pointing to the soaring birds. "Three of these flying birds please" . She touches where she wants it, in this case her collar bone. I look towards an image of a raven with the dauntless symbol in it and I decide if I'm going to get a tattoo I want this one. Soon enough the day ended and I was lulled to sleep by the idea of actually becoming a dauntless.

ICOMO ODYSSEY
Jonathan Vélo never expected to be famous. Not for riding his bike all the way around the continent of Icomo. Every adult knows his story, and children learn about him at school. This, however, is the first and only biography written about that great man with foreigners in mind. We, his biographers, imagine they will be immensely grateful. Of course, readers will find the people of Icomo an unusual sort for glorifying a young man who did nothing more than quit his job and ride his bike from town to town, city to city… But in an age of robots and computers, when little escapes the notice of the historian, there is a quiet epic to be told. It is the epic of cozy nights in a tent below the stars, of warm wind and ocean waves. It is also the epic of missing old friends in faraway places, and that feeling of needing to make life mean something. *** ‘ICOMO ODYSSEY’ is a nostalgic slice-of-life adventure about a utopian sci-fi land. No clever villains or epic fights here. Just cozy pleasures, charming towns and villages, interesting cultures, and the people who live in them… This story will update bi-weekly on Friday and Saturday. https://www.scribblehub.com/series/467210/icomo-odyssey/

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
