《Stubborn Stiff Tobias' Sister -Completed》Lunch and Training

When we break for lunch, Tris Christina and I sit together. Hearing Al crying Christina invites him to sit with us which mainly makes me mad considering he should suck it up but it's probably because I don't understand where he's coming from. I try not to listen to his sobs. Eventually he stops and Christina and him start talking. “Oh, come on. You don’t remember me?” Christina asks Al as she makes a sandwich. “We were in
Math together just a few days ago. And I am not a quiet person.”
“I slept through Math most of the time,” Al replies. “It was the first hour!” I know how to hide my divergency from the small sims but I'm worried about the fear sims. They could be different harder and not to mention I have a feeling something between Erudite Abnegation and Dauntless is happening. I heard from abnegation leaders that Jeanine wants to take over but I don't know if she would go as far as starting a war.
“Tris? Charlie?” says Christina. She snaps her fingers in front of my face. “You two in there?”
Tris replies first. "What?" She asks. “I asked if you remember ever taking a class with me,” she says. “I mean, no offense, but I probably wouldn't remember if you did. All the Abnegation looked the same to me. I mean, they still do, but
now you’re not one of them.” Tris stares at her and I scoff. “Sorry, am I being rude?” she asks. “I’m used to just saying whatever is on my mind. Mom used to say that politeness is deception in pretty packaging.” “I think that’s why our factions don’t usually associate with each other,” I say, with a short laugh. Candor and Abnegation don’t hate each other the way Erudite and Abnegation do, but they avoid each other. Candor’s real problem is with Amity. Those who seek peace above all else, they say, will always deceive to keep the water calm. “Can I sit here?” says Will, tapping his pointy fingers on the table. Why would he want to sit here when he's got the erudite transfers?
“What, you don’t want to hang out with your Erudite buddies?” says Christina.

“They aren’t my buddies,” says Will, setting his plate down. “Just because we were in the same
faction doesn’t mean we get along. Plus, Edward and Myra are dating, and I would rather not be the
third wheel.”
Edward and Myra are sitting two table away from us. Myra pauses cutting her food to kiss Edward. I watch them carefully. Edward turns his head and presses his lips to Myra’s. "Disgusting" I say as of I was scolding them. I've never found affection cute and in public? "Get a room" I yell at the two. Now everybody's eyes are on me and it seems a couple of the dauntless agree as half of the room claps and the other half stares.“She just kissed him.” Al frowns at me. He matched the same time I used to yell at the two.
“It’s not like they’re stripping naked.” Tris laughs.
“A kiss is not something that should be public" I said.
Al, Will, Christina and Tris all laugh before grinning. “What?” I say slightly annoyed.
“Your Abnegation is showing,” says Christina. “The rest of us are all right with a little affection in
public.” “and?” I shrug. I realized how I sounded so I rephrased my words. "I'll get over it. I'd rather leave abnegation behind". “Or you can stay frigid,” says Will. I stare at him and he gives up. “You know. If you want.” he says.
Christina throws a roll at him. He catches it and bites it. “Don’t be mean to her,” she says. “Frigidity is in her nature. Sort of like being a know-it-all is in yours.” “I am not frigid! I am just misunderstood” I say joking around. “Don’t worry about it,” says Will. “It’s endearing. Look, you’re all red.” I didn't even realize my cheeks were red and this comment probably made them brighter. Everyone else chuckles. I force a laugh and, after a few seconds, it comes naturally. "What did you mean by misunderstood?" Tris asks. I shake my head. "That's a story for another time" I think she knows about Marcus but yet again I'm not entirely sure. Once lunch is over my brother leads us to a huge room that has wood floors it also has a large circle painted in the middle. On the left wall is a chalkboard only a couple of my classes used them and even then it was for my lower classes. Our names are written on the board of course it's in alphabetical order. I look around more to see worn out black punching bags and I've got a feeling we will also be using them. I space out again deep in thought about several things. Will I make dauntless will Tris and Christina or will we all be unlucky. "Charlotte line up" I hear Eric say like I'm an idiot. "Sorry uh I spaced out" I said lining up quickly not wanting to create a scene. Eric already dislikes me I don't wanna make it worse. “As I was saying, ” says Four, “next you will learn how to fight. The purpose of this is to

prepare you to act to prepare your body to respond to threats and challenges which you will need, if you intend to survive life as a Dauntless.” That's only if you make it Four stop rubbing it in.
“We will go over technique today, and tomorrow you will start to fight each other,” says Four. Great I'll just channel my anger and maybe for once stand up for myself. “So I recommend that you pay attention. Those who don’t learn fast will get hurt.” Four names a few different punches, demonstrating each one as he does, first in the air then against the punching bag. I eventually get the punches as we continue practicing. It's really simple following Tobias but that could be because I've known him my whole life and know his different positions from each other. The kicks are easiest to learn I copy, try, and reposition. In a way it's a learning process learn fail repeat as my math teacher would say. "She's just like you Four" Eric says obviously being snarky. I think about going after him but I close my eyes and pretend nobody in this room is here and that I am alone. When I open my eyes everybody is gone my brain blocks them out as I continue. My feet and arms are aching but I continue. In fact I continue until I can't feel my limbs anymore. But even to that point someone pulls me away and I look up to see Four standing over me. "What happened?" I said. He pulls up my sleeves and I let out a yelp. Blood soaked my sleeves to reveal scars that had opened. "You had a breakdown during training I had to pull you away to get you to stop" he said. "Whats the last thing you remember Charlie?" He asked me. I think back. "Eric saying I'm just like you." He laughed. "What there's nothing funny about this" I exclaimed. He helped me off the ground walking me to the infirmary. "You went after Eric after that. I don't think I've ever seen you madder." Four said. "Who won?" I asked. I wasn't paying very much attention to walking and I put too much pressure on my foot making myself hiss. His smile faded quickly. "Well I'd say it was a tie because we had to pull both of you off of eachother but I think he got you pretty good" Tobias said. We got to the infirmary after a minute and Four left me here. The nurse wrapped my arms but wanted to check for any other wounds before I left. I wasn't sure if I wanted to show anybody my back but I decided it was for the best and she would've done it anyway if I asked her not to. She lifted up the back of my shirt gasping when she saw it or them in this case. 13 scars from Marcus. "Who did this to you.." she asked. I didn't answer. "Quite I see that's alright" she said. She left to go grab something. No more Marcus or abnegation, no more of my old life, the only person I want from that is Tobias. I went back to the training room after I was bandaged up I saw most people staring at me. I rolled my eyes. We're still practicing punches and kicking. I see Four with Tris fixing her form and showing her how to stand. Four looks my way and dismisses us for dinner.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
