《Sundrop/moondrop x reader》Taking care of things

A/N i have so many ideas in store for you all 💞
"What happened sun..?" You said softly, you were both on the floor by now, sundrop had his head on (y/n)'s shoulder and was loosely holding onto their shirt. He was upset obviously, but he also seemed to be staring off. You decided to stop questioning him and bring something else up. "Can i see your hand sunny?" You said as you slowly caressed his arm in a comforting way. Sundrop nods, hesitating for a moment before pulling away just slightly. He didn't want you looking at his face and you could tell so you simply didn't. You held onto his hand, studying it carefully before speaking. "Do you have anything we could wrap it with? I don't want you to have a hole in your hand even if you can't feel it."
Sun nodded once more, actually choosing to speak this time. "There's ribbon on the dresser..the other first aid stuff would be a waste on me.." you hesitated to get up, sun was in such a bad mood and you didn't want to leave him. But you did. You left him and got up to get the ribbon. You felt him grab at your pant leg briefly before letting go, this hurt your heart slightly as you walked over to the dresser. Spotting the ribbon you picked it up and almost sprinted the short distance over to sun, letting him grab ahold of your shirt again for his own comfort.
You took ahold of his broken hand. The hole seemed worse. You wrapped his hand with the ribbon, making a neat little bow and giving his hand a small kiss. This caused sun to freeze up a little, gripping your shirt slightly. "(Y/n) why did you..-" "my mom used to do that for me when i was little...when i was around 6 she stopped but it helped!" You said as you let him grab ahold of you with his other hand. He seemed almost traumatized in a way...like whatever damaged him gave him a panic attack as well, like it completely changed him. It must've had to be something really fucking scary if it scared an animatronic even one as innocent at sundrop.

You sat there with sun for a good 20 minutes, comforting him silently and feeling him grip at your shirt every once in a while. You had to reassure him a few times that you weren't gonna leave and he was VERY insistent in you not leaving the daycare. Finally he spoke up again after a long silence. "(Y/n) the power will go out in a few minutes, you have to hide.." he said, "what? Why??" I responded, holding onto his arm gently. "You- you just have to-" he whimpered, he seemed pretty insistent. "Go hide in the daycare." He grabbed your face, holding it with both his hands and looking at you with a concerned expression. This was the first time you've seen his face since he hugged you and you can tell he was serious. You trusted him and nodded, giving him one more tight hug before jumping off into the ball pit.
You managed to climb into a play area before the lights went out. You stared through the mesh of the play area wall at the balcony where sundrop was. You could hear him screaming in pain and you cringed to yourself. You saw moon walk out onto the balcony. You never asked sun why you had to hide from moon, you knew he wasn't something to be afraid of if anything he liked your presence. Once you got a good look at him though, this seemed to change. Moon didn't seem like himself, he was crawling around and calling for you to come out but he never said your name. He never acknowledged your existence as (y/n) he just knew someone was in there with him.
'Why am i even hiding from him..? Why was sun so insistent on me hiding and more importantly what even happened to him..?' You were so lost in thought until you heard a loud thump noise behind you. How did he find you so fast?? You turned around with an surprised expression, seeing moondrop inches away from your face. "Naughty naughty.. how dare you intrude how dare you come here you are naughty naughty.." he slammed his hand down next to you as you backed up as far as you could until your back hit the thick plastic wall of the play area.

"M-Moon-.." you say in a somewhat timid manner, "you're scaring me.." this made him falter slightly, not much but it seemed to do something. Moon seemed to be.. under control kind of?? It wasn't him and you knew it wasn't, you just needed a way to get out you didn't want to die here you didn't want moon to be the one to do it. Sun would be devastated and he would never forgive himself. As you stared into moons glowing red eyes he moved closer to you, bringing his hand up to your neck, then, you noticed something. Moon still had the ribbon on his hand.
You grabbed his hand before he could go in for the kill and held it up to his face. "L-Look! Look moon! Remember? Y-Your hand it was broken i-i- i fixed it remember?? Please??" You're eyes started to water, your face started to burn and the burning stretched across your cheeks as you felt hot tears flow down your face. You were scared beyond believe and you wanted out right that instant you thought you were gonna die you thought this was your last day on earth, your chest was rising and falling rapidly as you panicked, gripping Moons wrist tightly. He just started at you, then his hand with the ribbon on it.
He looked back at you, "i-.." he said before backing away from you slightly. Whatever took over him seemed to vanish in an instant once he remembered who you were, he was back to being moon again. You were frozen in shock, tears still falling down your face as you stared at him. He didn't like seeing you scared of him, he hated it to his very core. You were the only one who wasn't scared, you even hugged him before which had never happened and now he had cornered you in the dark. 'Im sorry..' he said, all you did was stare.

With his apprentice, Elnora, managing most of the daily work around the dungeon, Basil can finally turn his attention towards his personal concerns, such as tackling the shadow of his legendary father that still looms large over him.
