《Stoned is Angel's Grace》The Blue Box, a Blue Book and Blue Grace

"Fuck Gabriel, just answer me. Seriously, where are you? You've been missing since last night, and with those weeping angels wanting you dead, I don't like you being on your own..." Sam prays. "Especially considering the fact that we have to save you," he adds. Sam looks around the room, expecting to see the Archangel. Nothing in the room had moved.
Sam drops his head again, it's the same result as the other few times. Gabriel wasn't coming back. But why did he care so much? Yeah, he thinks the Trickster should be saved, and that they're forming a friendship, but he wasn't attached to the guy.
A loud screeching sounds throughout the room. A large blue police box forms in the centre of the room. The door swings open and a figure staggers out.
"S-Sammy?" Gabriel coughs as he stumbles over Sam. Sam quickly stands and helps Gabriel's bloodied, bruised form. The Doctor steps out from the TARDIS.
"The TARDIS locked on to him. It's almost like she knew he needed help," the Doctor explains. "I strongly suggest that he stays away from weeping angels," he adds.
"Thank you Doctor, he left last night, and didn't-"
"Hey, it's fine, he's less fine... But those weeping angels are a lot more dangerous than you'd think. Be careful, though how would you fancy my help? I stick around and really help you two," the Doctor suggests.
"That would be great actually, I've had a question to ask you," Sam says. He places the passed out Archangel on the bed and walks over to his laptop, notes are sprawled out everywhere.
"I've got a few questions, one being, what are Time-Lords? Another being, do you know these symbols?" Sam picks up the locked blue book and shows it to the Doctor. He takes the book and draws a breath.
"Time-Lords are alien beings that travel through space-time. But there is only one left. Me. And this book?" He looks the book over, "has Gallifreyian script all over it, I can't tell you what the others are," he finishes. "That's okay, I already know that the other symbols are Enochian," the Doctor gives Sam a quizzical look. "Angel language. Now do you know what could fit the key hole?" Sam questions, "no... Actually," the Doctor inspects the key hole further, "perhaps..." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a single key. "It's one of the few keys to the TARDIS," he quickly explains. The Doctor places the key into the hole, it's a perfect fit. Sam raises an eyebrow, the Doctor looks at him and shrugs. He turns the key and it clicks, they open the book to find Enochian and Gallifreyian text sprawled across every page.

"It's going to take forever to translate this," Sam comments. "Yes, yes it is. Especially seeing as I can't read half of it, and you can't read it at all," the Doctor adds. They both sigh as the Time-Lord tosses the book aside. "We could start translating it," Sam offers, the Doctor gives him a look. "What else are we meant to do? We know that Gabriel is the weeping angel who wants to be saved, but we do not who will die if he's saved, and we don't know who's sending the notes. And if this can answer any of these questions, then I want to know," Sam states. The Doctor sits down and mulls over the book.
-------
"So what have we got?" Sam asks as he tosses the Doctor a cheese sandwich. "What I can read of the first chapter says that the weeping angels are in fact dead angel's Grace trying to keep itself alive. It also says that weeping angels, while they feed on lost time, they also feed off living angel's Grace. It's trying to bring itself back to life by using a living, breathing angel. Also, a weeping angel form and the living angel in the same timeline causes the living angel great pain because the weeping angel form is trying to consume them to fix itself," the Doctor explains. Sam nods.
"Anything I didn't already know, or guessed?"
"No, I would assume not."
"Will I ever get to the bottom of this? I mean, every time I find some lead, it tells me what I already knew, or it's just a dead end. And every time one question is answered, a hundred new questions appear... I'm not entirely sure I can save this one," Sam says. He leans against the desk with a beer in his hand. "I just wish it could be over and I could be in my timeline, and Gabriel would be in his, and everything would just be normal. But no! I'm stuck here solving puzzles," he adds. "Maybe I should just let him die when he's meant to, it would save someone else."
"But you're not going to do that. You can't do that, you care too much," the Doctor says.

"Yeah? What do I care about?"
"Him. You care about that passed out being over there," the Doctor points at Gabriel's unconscious body. "You were in this to save yourself and get to sleep at night, but now you're doing it to save him and some other person. And you're doing because you care."
Sam stiffens, then relaxes. "He's..."
"A friend?"
"Yeah..."
"So why would you say it's just easier to let your friend die? Unless of course, you /want/ to hate him."
"We have a history..."
"Oh?" The Doctor straightens out, "tell me of your... history."
"Not that kind of history! Jeez, I'd expect this off Dean... But he was the biggest dick I knew. And now there's something sweet, and almost kind. But he was mean, and he was course and unrefined. And now he's dear, and so unsure..."
The Doctor smiles one of his warm, caring smiles. (AN: I think that the Doctor is a Sabriel shipper now, just saying.)
"I think I'll keep translating. You really do need the help. How about you go through all the notes that you've received, and try to find any missed clues," the Doctor suggests. "Okay," Sam agrees, the moose finds every note and begins studying them
------
"I found nothing. I've combed through each one fifty times, and have drawn a blank. What about you Doctor?"
"Nothing new, and more Enochian is showing up than before, I can barley translate it," the Doctor responds.
"Maybe we should take a break?" Sam offers, the Doctor nods.
There's an uneasy presence in the room, Sam turns around to find a weeping angel holding a note as it stands over Gabriel's unconscious body. Sam cautiously moves to the stone angel and plucks the note from its hand.
"Now you know that it is Gabriel you must save, but he's running low on Grace, and the future has a limit," Sam reads. He looks to the stone angel, who has moved its position. The stone angel looms over Gabriel, Grace suddenly spills from the stone angel's mouth. It's transferring some of its Grace to Gabriel. Well they are one and the same.
Sam blinks and the stone disappears, Gabriel wakes up.
"Well I had this crazy dream, and I feel great. Oh hey Doc," Gabriel enthusiastically states as he gets up and walks over to the two. "What's going on? Any new ideas? Leads?" He questions, "no, not yet," Sam replies "hey, thanks Doc, you really... You really saved me back there."
"No worries. I'm always happy to help a..." the Doctor looks at Sam, "friend," the Doctor looks back at the Archangel.
"Hey, you got Belle's mystery book open," Gabriel comments. "Belle...?" The Doctor looks confused, "me. He means me," Sam interjects.
"Right you are Samm-o," Gabriel peers at the book. "Hey... It says here that if one weeping angel is saved and returned to actual angel, then one of their brothers or sisters will die and take their place due to the corruption of the timeline. Usually, the closer one angel is to a brother or sister, the more likely it will be that the brother or sister will perish to stone. So if I'm saved, then someone in the family tree will die as a result? Good thing I detached myself from that tree a long time ago."
"So now we know that another angel will die if you don't, but which one? There's still quite a few alive in my timeline, but I still wouldn't know which one," Sam says.
"Well maybe we should take a little trip to...?"
"2015."
"2015 it is then!" Gabriel cheers, "so are we going via Angel Air or TARDIS Travels?"

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
