Sophia found out the next day that Harry's detention consisted of torturous line writing with a Blood Quill. These vile things would use the blood of the person writing as ink and Sophia was astonished to hear that a member of the Ministry of Magic would dare use one at all, much less on a student. Harry tried to hide the scars of the words 'I must not tell lies' but failed when Hermione saw it when he was reading a book in the common room. Harry had gotten irritated again and mildly went off at Ron and Hermione, leaving them in a similar state of what Sophia was in the previous day. Although they hadn't mentioned anything strange about his eyes, making Sophia even more curious about what she had seen.
Sophia was making her way to the Great Hall when she heard a rather loud conversation on the stairs leading up to the moving staircases. Standing there was Professor McGonagall and Professor Umbridge as well as a group of students who were listening in non-discreetly from the Entrance Hall.
"What's going on?" she asked as she took a spot beside Fred and George who were too listening in.
"McGonagall found out about Umbridge's medieval detentions," George answered without taking his eyes off the two women who were going back and forth continuously.
"Questioning my methods is questioning the Ministry! And the Minister himself!" Umbridge said with a clenched jaw. "I will not stand for disloyalty!"
"Disloyalty..." McGonagall repeated as she took a step down from the stairs. The Professor looked defeated and didn't seem to want to argue more with this woman as it was working out to be pointless. Professor Umbridge turned to face the crowd of students with a face that showed fake concern and a look of ambition in her eyes that would only match a Slytherin's.
"Things at Hogwarts are far worse than I feared!" the woman announced. "The Ministry will want to hear about this!"
It wasn't long before Argus Filch was hammering an official decree from the Ministry stating that Dolores Umbridge is appointed to the position of High Inquisitor into the wall of the Great Hall. This gave her the power to be above the other teachers at Hogwarts but not quite over Professor Dumbledore. The woman had started to appear in classrooms with a clipboard, writing down with her quill as the teachers taught in their usual ways. She especially went for Professor Trelawney and Professor Flitwick, as she seemed to have something against the two in particular.
It was in Sophia's Astronomy class that the girl was starting to hate the woman with a deep passion. The Professor sat at the back of the Astronomy tower as Professor Sinistra tried to act as if she wasn't there. But it made the teacher nervous when it came to the topic of Centaurs and their abilities with star gazing, as Umbridge made a distinctive 'hem hem' noise to catch her attention.
"So sorry to interrupt my dear," Umbridge stood from her chair with her clipboard in hand and made silence enclose over the classroom. "But may I ask why the topic of Centaurs are included in the Astronomy curriculum?"

"Oh well," Sinistra stumbled for a moment with her textbook in her hands. "They're very gifted with foreseeing of the future through the stars. We're trying to learn their ways-"
"But surely they would be under the topic of Care for Magical Creatures then wouldn't they?" Umbridge cut the woman off with her same sweet smile on her face. "Or perhaps the subject of Divination. The half-breeds wouldn't need to be included in Astronomy for sure."
Sophia went rigid in her seat at the word 'half-breed's. It was a disgusting word used by the Witches and Wizards who were obsessed with blood purity and their status in the Wizarding World. It didn't help that Sophia herself was a form of 'half-breed' as was her father, making her fume from within. She hadn't noticed that she was clenching the edge of the table enough to turn her knuckles white, catching the attention of Hermione who sat next to her.
"Don't Sophia," Hermione hissed in a whisper, desperate for her to keep quiet. "You know what will happen."
"Is something wrong dear?" Umbridge's voice rang out the classroom. Sophia and Hermione looked up to see the putrid woman looking at them with raised eyebrows as she heard the seemingly quiet conversation.
"No Professor, nothing-".
"What have you got against half-breeds?" Sophia cut Hermione off with a stone cold look. Students within the room let out various gasps at Sophia's out of nature tone, turning to look between her and Umbridge who was trying her best to keep her calm appearance. Hermione was trying to stare at Sophia with enough velocity to make her turn to see her pleading look, but she went ignored as the girl was solely focused on the Professor.
"Why I have nothing against half-breeds Miss...?" Umbridge looked at her with a questioning look.
"Lupin," Sophia spat and the satisfied smile that dawned the Professor's face only fuelled her anger.
"Ah yes Miss Lupin," her voice had slipped into what could only be described as a half mocking and a half understanding tone. "Daughter of one of the previous Defence Against the Dark Arts teachers correct? I understand your frustration with the term my dear but it is known by Witches and Wizards that half-breeds are seen as near Human intelligence-"
"How dare you!" Sophia shouted in shock and disgust. Hot white fury was bubbling inside her as the Professor's smirking face wavered slightly. The Professor knew she was riling the girl up and Sophia wouldn't stand for it. She glared harshly at the woman from across the room and ignored Hermione's attempts at grabbing hold of her arm to stop her making the situation even worse for herself. "How can you be so prejudice? You're a teacher and part of the Ministry!"
"We can discuss my position and career choices this afternoon if you'd like Miss Lupin," Umbridge returned to her sickly sweet smile with her eyes zeroing in on the girl who was starting to shake in her chair from fury. "I think seven o'clock in my office would be best."
The woman then gave one last glance to Professor Sinistra before walking out of the classroom with a swagger that made Sophia want to burst. The teacher attempted to resume the lesson but had a nervous tick from the fright of the powerful woman. It also frightened her that one of her best and favourite students had just been given a detention even though she was known to be so quiet and polite. Sophia stayed silent and rigid for the rest of the lesson and Hermione sat with pursed lips at her friend's behaviour and fate.

Sophia stomped her way through the halls later that evening with the same anger she had in Astronomy today. Never had she felt as insulted and furious with someone as putrid as Professor Dolores Umbridge. She kept her head down as she purposely avoided the corridors where she knew Fred, George or Hermione would be. She had even skipped dinner in the Great Hall as she knew they would be there, ready to interrogate and give her disappointed looks at her failure of staying under the radar. She was just glad that none of them knew her house address and wouldn't be able to send a letter to her Father about the detention she had been given.
"Sophia!" a voice called out from behind her and she was ready to pull out her wand in irritation. But when she whipped her head around she was surprised to see Harry jogging up to her in his Quidditch robes. It made her remember that there was the Gryffindor Quidditch practice today and she wouldn't be able to go and watch like she always did. If Fred didn't know about her detention yet, he would definitely know when he wouldn't see her in the stands at practice.
"Harry..." Sophia stopped on her angry walk to face the boy she hadn't spoke to since the outburst. She watched as he stopped in front of her looking slightly awkward and nervous. He glanced at the floor before meeting her eyes for the first time and forced out an apology.
"I'm... I'm sorry about the other day," he said with a new shade of guilt. "As you know, I was angry and I shouldn't have let my anger out on you. I didn't mean to say about your map and stuff I've just... been having a tough time lately."
"Did Fred get you to say all that?" Sophia held back a laugh when Harry nodded sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"He said he'd aim for me especially during practice if I didn't," Harry cracked a smile at her. "But I did want to apologise anyway. And I heard about your detention with Umbridge..."
"Yeah I'm really looking forward to it," Sophia sarcastically exclaimed but Harry didn't find it very funny, making her drop her joking smile.
"Use Murtlap Essence afterwards. It helps," Harry replied. "I've gotta go. Just know that Fred knows."
Harry turned away from her and walked off down the corridor towards the Quidditch pitch. Sophia sighed at the mention of Fred and returned back on her journey towards Umbridge's office. She climbed the steps that lead up to the wooden door and knocked with a clenched fist. The woman's sweet voice was heard on the other side and Sophia entered to be bombarded with the horrific colour of pink. Plates littered the walls with pictures of kittens which meowed every now again. Sophia thought there was nothing that could make her dislike cats but Professor Umbridge had been able to change that miraculously.
"Sit down Miss Lupin," Umbridge sat at her desk with a cup of tea, looking as unpleasant as ever. Sophia said nothing as she made her way over the table and chair that had a piece of parchment and the wretched quill on top of it. The woman got up and stalked over to stand beside Sophia, looking down at her like a hawk would on a mouse. Sophia hated to feel so inferior to the Professor as the woman obviously didn't like her because of her blood status. It was no wonder she heard someone say that Umbridge was in Slytherin while at Hogwarts.
"I want you to write 'I must not speak out to my superiors'," the Professor watched as the girl wordlessly picked up the quill with such dislike that she hoped the quill would snap under her fist. Unfortunate for her, the quill stayed intact all throughout the tortuous detention. The words carved into the back of her hand enough to make it bleed and make her vision go fuzzy from the pain it inflicted. When Umbridge eventually did let her leave, Sophia gripped her hand all the way back to the common room. Blood had coated both of her hands now as the words would permanently scar her skin.
She made her way through the portrait hole into the common room that appeared to be empty judging by the lack of noise. But she groaned internally when she spotted both Fred and George sitting on the sofa in front of the fireplace while still dressed in their red Quidditch robes. She didn't even have to make a sound as the twins jumped up from their seats and marched over to her. George was holding a very worried and concerned look while Fred had a mixture of the same yet laced with fury as well as disappointment.
"Well?" Fred said first. Sophia looked up at them for a moment but was too nervous to keep eye contact with Fred especially, turning down to look at her hand clutching the other stained with blood. Fred and George followed her gaze and held back loud exclamations at the state of her flesh.
"Go on... say it," Sophia bitterly muttered. Fred sighed and shook his head, making Sophia look up again.
"I'm not gonna say anything..." Fred stated, shocking Sophia. She was sure he would tell her off or even scold her for getting her first detention, but seeing the hint of disappointment in his eyes was enough to make her feel as bad as she would to be yelled at.
"Can I then?" George looked hopefully at his brother who just glared at him.
"No shut up," Fred turned back to Sophia and brought up his hand to show a small tin he was holding. "Granger gave me this. I trust that it will help."

"This is so wrong ..." Emma breathed out against his lips when he pinned her up against the wall."Is it?" Alexander echoed, slipping his hands underneath her large sweater, grazing her lips."She's my friend ..." Emma argued weakly, albeit unwilling to push him off."Don't think about it." He merely replied, starting to nibble on her neck.As his lips nipped down on her sensitive skin, Emma let out a breathless moan and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, so that he could hook her legs around his torso, effectively seizing her in his arms. The walk to his bedroom was short, and before she could say anything, she found herself on his bed, him hovering over her. His every touch was inebriating, the way his lips knew exactly where to go in order for her to lose sight of her moral duties, the way his hands skillfully caressed every inch of her skin, as if savoring it in advance, was driving her insane. And when she met his fiery gaze, Emma knew she was doomed. She had no chance but to surrender to this devil that was tempting her, pushing her towards something that - she was well aware - would be difficult to give up on once set in motion.
