《love.》CHAPTER ONE.

⸻ , the season that everyone in Karasuno High had adored more than any other season throughout the year. The return of beautiful leaves after a harsh winter. The amazing weather, and not to mention the couples that bloomed with every flower.

The windows were wide open, cool air flowing into the classroom for each student that had grown hot throughout the day. The students that had gotten one too many kisses from the sun stood by the windows, waiting for their teacher to walk in once the bell would ring in less than fifteen minutes.

"Did you guys hear about the confession that happened last week between those two third years?" A student spoke up, their hands pressed against the windowsill next to their friend who also leaned against it so that the cool wind hit them easier rather than sitting in their seats.

"Oh yeah! Aren't they both girls though, I heard they were getting a ton of hate," the female student next to her friend had responded, her chin propped against her palm.

"Why does it even matter? I thought it was beautiful!"

An innocent conversation about love and equality had begun between the two students making a [hair color] haired girl, who sat only a couple seats away, eyebrows perking up in confusion.

[Name]'s eyes widened once she began eavesdropping on the conversation. Two females? A confession? Love? Her brows were furrowed and she rolled her eyes, it was none of her business, why was she even listening in the first place? Her nails tapped against the wooden desk, attempting to block out the conversation that two students were having- rather loudly, not to mention.

"Love is love, no matter gender, race, or anything!"

The [eye color] eyed classmate cringed to herself. She agreed that love was indeed love, but for two women to love each other? That wasn't how things were meant to be, a woman and a man were meant to be together, but [Name] knew better than to express her opinion publicly to her peers.

The cool air hit her softly, calming her down slightly. This was no time to worry about such things, she was in school, which was meant for learning- not worrying about the problems and wrongdoings of others.

"I can't believe people are still homophobic, though! I don't understand," one of her peers spoke sadly, sighing out once their sentence had finished up

"Me neither!" Another classmate agreed.

[Name]'s head dug into her arms, groaning softly to herself. Why couldn't class just start already? Why did she have to listen to such a conversation? Her eyes were screwed shut as she exhaled, clearly bothered that her classmates were discussing something so inappropriate in such a setting! Why couldn't they discuss math or something more important?

[Name] sighed, standing for her desk instantly. Relief washed over her now that she could finally stretch her legs and go meet up with her new friend, that agreed to spend lunch with her on certain days of the week.

She pushed open the door, eyes instantly widening at the shorter, blonde girl standing directly across from her, holding her lunch in her hand with a red face and her other hand held up in a fist as if she was preparing to knock on the classroom door.

"O-Oh, [Name], I-I was let out early so I decided to m-meet you at your classroom," She sheepishly explained, her face growing redder by the second and her legs noticeably wobbling anxiously.

[Name] stared for a moment before giving her friend a smile, "thank you, Yachi"

The small, soft response made the blonde nod vigorously, her entire body shaking, her heart beating at a rapid pace. The light brown eyed teenager felt as if she could collapse just from [Name] saying just two words to her, two words that only showed how kind she was to say 'thank you' just from a reasonable act.

"Y-You're welcome," she stammered, eyes following [Name] as she turned from the classroom and began walking off, Yachi instantly wobbling after her quickly.

The two reached the small area they ate lunch at, an empty staircase that was barely even used, but still had the occasional students walking up and down to interrupt their private conversations.
