"Mikasa? Helllooo?" Annie said waving a hand in front of her face. "Huh? Oh, sorry! I was just thinking about something." She looked down at the table. Annie saw how upset and confused she looked. "Mikasa, what's wrong?" The blonde asked. Whenever Mikasa was sad it made Annie sad. Mikasa and Annie were both girls of few words so it was hard to get anything out of either of them.

"It's nothing." She shook her head and looked back to at Annie and smiled. It was obvious she was lying but Annie let her, she'd find out sooner or later.

But throughout the entire date, Mikasa was just not listening it getting lost in her own thoughts. It was bothering Annie that something was eating at her mind so much and wouldn't tell her. "Mikasa, what's wrong?!" She tried not to shout so other people wouldn't hear her. Mikasa quickly for up from the table, grabbed Annie's hand and pulled her up, then took her outside and made her way across the parking lot to the black car that sat in the sun.

The last time someone had grabbed her hand-no, last time it was her wrist-and pulled her towards a car, it was her dad and he-No, never mind, that's not important.

When they got to the car Mikasa opened the passenger side door and let Annie get in, Mikasa slammed the door closed and walked around the other side and got in. She looked at into Annie's eyes, "Annie...I found your cigarettes."
