《Hidden Riches》Chapter 2

"Did you undress me?" I asked Logan. Hopefully, he didn't...

"Yes, I did." He said, smiling. "I must say, I was quite impressed."

My face turned a bright red. I turned away so he couldn't see my cheeks. "O-okay," He's a pervert. Great.

I took another drink from my coffee mug to hide my cheeks. "Why did you bring me here?"

"Because you looked so lonely and depressed. I couldn't help but want to bring you home with me."

Yeah right.

I hardly remembered anything from last night. All I could see were blurs. My head started to hurt again and I placed my hand on my head and lightly groaned.

"Bunny, stop. You're hurting yourself. Sit down." Logan said, worriedly.

He led me into the living room and sat me on the couch. He watched me for what felt like forever. Then, he finally spoke. "Bunny, I have to leave soon. Are you okay with being here all by yourself?"

"Leave? Where?"

"College. I have to go to my morning classes."

Oh. I wasn't thinking about that at all. Although, I hadn't expected a guy like him to go to college because I didn't. I dropped out for Peyton. I wonder what his major is.

"There's food in the fridge. Eat as much as you like. I'll be back in a few hours." he took both my hands in his. "Don't leave, alright? I have something to tell you when I get back. Okay, Bunny?"

He looked sincere and nervous at the same time. I couldn't leave even if I wanted to. I had nowhere to go and I had no idea how I got here. I didn't know where I was or how to get around.

I was basically trapped in a bunny cage. Ha. Him calling me bunny was getting to my head.

"Okay. I'll stay." I nodded. Did I really want this? Did I really want to stay here with this stranger?

"Thank you, Bunny." He smiled and placed a kiss on my hand like he did two nights ago.

After about twenty minutes, he was gone. I just sat there on the couch, wondering what to do.

I downed the rest of my coffee and began to walk around the beautiful mansion. This place was huge. I decided to make a map of it in my head. There were about 30 bedrooms, 2 giant kitchens, a tv room, a living room, and dining room.

I found a big, brown door and pulled it open. My eyes went wide at what was inside. A giant golden pool lay there. A fountain the shape of a snake was spraying water into the pool from its big mouth.

I walked around more and found the garage. Five big, shiny Lamborghini's were inside.

This place was so huge. Does he live here alone? He can't be.

I looked down at myself and I realized that I needed to get dressed. I quickly went up the stairs and walked down the long hallway I had walked down before.

I went back to the room I was in earlier and stared at my dress.

I decided to put it back on. There was a bathroom in the corner of the room so I went inside.

I looked at myself in the mirror.

I had long black hair which I always wore straight and chestnut colored eyes. I got called pretty a lot, but that was hard for me to believe.

There were a pink toothbrush, a pink hairbrush and a pink tube of toothpaste sitting on the sink.

Does he think I love pink just because I'm a girl?

I brushed my teeth, then brushed my hair. I slipped on my heels from that night because I didn't have any other shoes to wear.

After that, I left the house.

I wanted to get to see the neighborhood because I felt that I would be here a lot. I walked around the block a few times.

The city was so gorgeous. There were so many shops. I realized that every house in this part of town was huge. That meant everyone was rich around here. Although I had only lived in New York for a few years, I had no idea a city like this existed.

I didn't belong in a town like this. I was terribly poor. I had a job at a daycare, but that was never enough. That's why I lived with Peyton. His parents ran a grade school in our town. He had a decent amount of money for both of us.

How did my life come to this? I was so happy two days ago. My entire life changed the moment I opened the door to finding Peyton on top of Julia.

I wish I never opened that door. I wish I never met Peyton. I wish I never met Julia. Maybe if I hadn't, I'd be happy. Maybe if I hadn't, I'd still be a college with a degree in business by now. Maybe if I hadn't, I'd still have my job at the daycare. Maybe if I hadn't I wouldn't be with because I had nowhere else to go. I couldn't even afford a hotel.

"Are you okay, sweetheart?" A voice interrupted my thoughts. An old woman was watching me. She was dressed so nicely, with a big black fur around her neck. She had a purse covered in diamonds hanging from her hand. Her tiny dog barked at me, jumping up and down.

I hadn't realized that I was crying, but my face was dripping with tears. I hated when I cried over the stupid things. I didn't use to be this weak hearted.

"I'm sorry," I said, wiping my tears away. "I'm fine. It's just allergies." I lied, backing away.

"Are you sure, dear?" She said, getting close to me.

"Y-yes. I'm sure." I gave her a fake smile.

"Would you like to join me inside for some coffee? It would be my treat." She kindly said, giving me a smile.

"Um... Sure." I quickly agreed, not wanting her to worry.

We entered a coffee shop together. She ordered a cappuccino for me. She kept her dog outside as it continued to bark at everyone who passed by.

"You must be new here." The old woman said. "I would know if someone as precious as you lived here."

"Thank you, ma'am," I said, lightly bushing. What does she mean by precious?

"Did you just move in?"

"I guess you could say that." I shifted in my seat, uncomfortably.

"Oh, how wonderful. You'll love this town! But keep an eye out! Logan Python lives around here. He's such a player it's ridiculous. He'll definitely be after you. He'll try to snatch you up and throw you away before you know it. He did it to both of my daughter's. Poor girls. They're still heartbroken."

"Oh. I'm sorry about your daughter's ma'am. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for him."

Of course, he's a player!!!

"Wonderful!" She beamed. "By the way, my name is Laura. Laura Gold." She held her hand out to me.

I shook it. "My name is Hannah. Hannah Sky."

"Nice to meet you dear! Hopefully, I'll see you around."

She babbled on and on about her daughters and how much money she makes a year. It was very disturbing, but I continued to listen.

I decided to go home after that. "Thank you," I told the lady, then went back to Logan's house.
