《Mine (Alec Volturi Fanfiction)》(4)

The next day Diana woke up alone which was normal.
She sat up and stretched before getting up.
She looked around to see the fire lit which made her smile.
Alec wasn't in the room but she knew he was probably feeding or with his sister.
She looked around the room until she finally found the bathroom.
She walked in to see a large bathroom with the same black and grey aesthetic that was in the bedroom.
She looked in the large mirror before turning the left tap so cold water came out.
She gathered the water in her hands before washing her face.
She then looked in the mirror before grabbing a fluffy black towel to dry her face.
She thought about Bella and how she would probably never see her again.
Tears appeared in her eyes.
No matter how bad Bella treated her she still cared about her.
Bella was her family at least she was.
She sat on the floor and leaned against the counters that the sink was on.
She hugged her knees as she tried to relax.
She hated crying.
It was pathetic and unnecessary.
She hit her head against the counter causing her to relax slightly.
When she was twelve she self-harmed for the first time.
She didn't know why she did it just that it helped her relax.
It took away the demons that clawed at her.
She placed her head on her knees and tried to relax.
Suddenly two strong arms were around her.
She looked up to see Alec with a worried expression.
"What happened?" he said.
"Nothing, im just thinking about bella.
I should care about her but something inside me does" she said as Alec placed her on the bed.
She felt her bare feet touch the cold wood floors as Alec knelt between her legs.

"Tell me what made you so upset princess" Alec said.
She looked at him "My entire life Bella used me to keep herself safe.
Through all of it, I loved her because I had no one else.
I had no friends, I barely saw my dad and my mom left us.
I shouldn't feel guilty for leaving her but I do and I don't think that will ever go away" she said as she sobbed.
Alec stood up and grabbed her before sitting on the bed.
He placed her on his lap before hugging her softly so he didn't hurt her.
"It's ok, shhh," he said as she sobbed while her head rested in the crook of his neck.
He sat there frozen as he felt everything she felt.
He was walking through the castle when he felt an overwhelming sadness that he wasn't used to.
After that, he rushed to Diana.
He thought she was hurt and even if she wasn't knowing that his mate was upset made him fill with rage.
Diana deserved happiness not a life of sadness.
As she cried be thought about what she told him.
Bella hurt her.
If he could he would kill Bella and bring her head to Diana to show her that she didn't have to hold on to that sadness anymore.
But if he did that he might lose Diana and he cringed at the thought.
He needed her and she needed him.
