"Boyfriend? I don't have a boyfriend Rebecca!" I entered the house and closed the door behind me. "Oh really?" Her hands were resting on her hips.
"Yeah. Really."
"I don't believe this! You are lying to me on my face. I thought you shared everything with me. But you didn't tell me you had a freaking boyfriend! I always planned on what I'll do when you'll have your first date, of how I'll buy you a pretty dress and how I'll do your hair. And here, I don't even know you had a boyfriend?!"
"Rebecca-" I tried to explain but she beat me to it. "Sophia, I thought you told me everything...." She looked down, sadness written all over her face. "Rebecca will you just listen to me?" I raised my voice out of annoyance.
"I don't have a boyfriend. Who told you I had one? I tell you everything. How can I not tell you if I had a boyfriend Rebecca?" I went towards the kitchen and took an apple from the fruit basket.
Rebecca came behind me and said slowly. "But that boy said he was your boyfriend!" I rolled my eyes. What else could be expected from Carter. "Will you believe anything anybody says. Some idiot guy told you he was my boyfriend and you believed that?"
"Oh my god! I should have been worried about you rather than being sad at the fact that you didn't tell me. How can I believe him? I didn't even know him! Were you with him? Did he do something to you? Oh god! I'm so crazy! I shouldn't have believed him!"
"I'm fine Rebecca, Look. There's no need to panic now." I took a bite of the apple. "Besides that, Carter is a nice guy."
That just came out of my mouth. He is not nice. Erase that instantly.
Rebecca got a chance to smirk at my stupid utterance. "Is he now?"
"No! He is the most irritating guy I've ever met. Seriously! He's like....Urgh! I don't want to discuss him!" I was annoyed at myself and in showing that to Rebecca I but my tongue while eating. That sucks!
"But Sophia he-" Rebecca started.
"No Rebecca. I don't want to talk about him." I stated firmly. "So....did this nice guy gave you anything to eat?"
"No. And I'm starving! Give me food, give me food. Where's my food?" I told her as I sat on the counter and rubbed my stomach dramatically. She chuckled in response and started working. A minute later, she spoke, "You know, your parents are going to visit after two months."
"Is it march already?"

"Yeah! Only two months are left. Have you talked to them recently?"
"No. I haven't talked to them since........ three months. Rebecca, will you do me a favor?" I really didn't want to talk about them so I tried to drop the topic.
"Yes darling?" She started to make the sandwich. Did I tell you she sucks at cooking? Yeah, thats why she didn't cook anything. "Can you please bring this up stairs?" I was really worn out and in no mood to study even. I decide to eat and then go directly to sleep. "Sure thing sweetie. Just go and rest. Oh and listen?"
"Yeah?"
"Meet Josh on the way if he is still awake. He couldn't sleep because he was worrying about you. Just tell him you are fine. Okay? He won't be so restless then." I smiled. Even though he was eight but he was the most protective brother ever. And I think that was the cutest thing ever.
"Oh.Okay! I'll just meet him."
*****
There wasn't anybody in the corridor because I was late again. It wasn't because of the law. I was no more under that law but my stupid car had to break down today only. As I was walking towards the locker somebody hit my back. I knew whoever this person was, was going to kill me. So without waiting I apologized. "Im so sorry!" I turned around to face them. It was a girl. A very pretty girl infact. And that very moment I thought I was in trouble. "Its okay! It wasn't your fault anyways. I wasn't watching." She shrugged her shoulders.
I was shocked. Completely dumbstruck. I closed my eyes tightly and opened them again to satisfy myself about the reality of the situation. Someone was talking to me nicely! Somebody was being respectful to me! And that somebody was extremely beautiful too.....
She had long blonde hair. Her eyes were electrifying blue with a little tint of purple and a shade of grey. Her eyes were....... exquisite. She had a nice figure and she was so freaking tall. I looked like a toddler in front of her. Her clothing included a very pretty blue royal blue shirt that had some shiny details near the neck along with a faded jeans. Her get up wasn't slutty like Maddie usually has and it wasn't like mine as well. It was perfect and I loved the way how she was dressed. The blue and white vans complimented her look.
I instantly liked her fashion sense.
"Are you okay? I didn't think I hit you that hard!" She chuckled. "N-n-no. I just........f-forget it!"
Oh my god, I'm so nervous!
Calm down Sophie! She is nice!

"So, I'm Amelia..... you?" She extended her hand towards me to shake it ". And me being the utterly dumb girl that I am, stared at her with wide eyes.
Amelia!
AMELIA?
LIA? My dream friend!?
She raised her eyebrows and gestures me to shake her hands. I quickly it. "My name is Sophia." I smiled. "I like you already. You are too cute!" She pinched my cheeks a little. "So Sophia. Would you like to be my friend?"
I nodded. Just wait till she sees Maddie. Her friendship will be nowhere. But, that thought didn't stop me from talking to her. She was nice. I just knew that by her behaviour.
"I see you don't speak too much. So......can you show me to 32A?"
"You have chemistry? I have chemistry too." A smile appeared on my face as I saw her schedule. "We have most of the classes same, Just accept for biology and Friday's classes are a bit different too.
"Then let's go. What are you waiting for?"
I giggled as I started walking with Amelia following me. "I have a reason of being late. But why are you late miss Sophia-what's your full name Sophia?"
"Sophia Ann Anderson.Yours?"
"Amelie Jade Garfield." She told me hers without any asking. "So what excuse do you have Miss Anderson?"
"I don't need an excuse. Your excuse can help me. Just see." I told her as we stopped at the door of room 32A.
"Don't you think this is a little late to enter the class which had already been started ten minutes ago?" Mr Wilson spoke as he stopped writing and threw the board marker on his table. Coming closer he folded his arms and raised his eyebrows. Amelia hit her elbow to my side gesturing me to speak. "Ouch!"
"Is everything okay Sophia?"
"Sir, she is Amelia. She is new here so I was just showing her around."
"Oh! You are Amelia Garfield, if I'm not wrong." He read from his register.
"Yeah." Amelia nodded. "So class, this is Amelia Garfield and she is new to this school. Introduce yourslef Amelia."
All the guys started to wistle as she came towards the center. She was hot! What do you expect? Remaining in her confident aura she introduced herself and walked towards the empty seat next to me.
"That was awkward!" She chuckled. I noticed something extremely surprising. You wanna know? Carter Reece was sitting in the first row. Beside who you think? As surprising as it was, he was sitting beside Alex. He looked cute there, but then he wanted to be over smart so he stood up and walked upwards where I was sitting.
"Hey, who is this hot guy?" Amelia asked me.
"Trouble!" I whispered.
"What? You said something?"
"Yeah. He's Carter Reece. You don't want to get involved with him. He is a monster. He screams trouble. He is a snake. A manipulative sn-" she cut me off.
"Okay, okay! I understand. I have to be away from him. But, why is he coming here?"
"I don't know!"
"What is it that Sparkle doesn't know?" Carter came and sat on the seat nearest to us.
"That, why is some snake coming to it with us." Amelia opened her mouth and I face palmed.
Carter chuckled. "What? Snake?" Amelia reopened her mouth but I stopped her. "Nn-nothing!" I turned around and mouthed Amelia, "Ignore him!"
"Okay boss!" She agreed.
******
"C-c-Carter p-p-please, g-g-give those back." Today he decided to study in the same garden where we studied some days back. We had completed our study and were now about to head back home.
He held my glasses higher and higher as I tried to reach out for them. "I can't s-see w-without them C-Carter." He stopped and looked straight into my eyes. "But I like you without them Sparkle." He was very close for my liking.
I gulped.
"Okay, I have one condition. Ask me without shuttering and I'll return them to you." Carter's voice rang out.
"Carter please return my g-g-glasses."
"What? Did you say something?" He tried to ignore my pleas. "Carter can you please return my glasses?" It wasn't difficult at all. And then I realized, I wasn't scared of him anymore. It had just become a habbit of speaking that way infront of him.
I'm not scared of him anymore! I'm not going to be his puppy anymore.
"You know what kind of moment is this?" He stood up as he spoke, a very huge smile on his face.
I shook my head. "It's this kind of moment," He started jumping up and down and squealed. "Oh MY God!!!! Oh my god, oh my god! OH EHMM GEEEH!!!! Sparkle talked to me without stuttering. Yayyy! Wahoo!" His jumping didn't stop. I couldn't help but laugh at the sight. He wasn't as bad as I thought!
Finally he stopped and sat beside me. "So, are you hungry?" I shook my head but just then my stomach decided to make a weird sound. My cheeks heated up. He chuckled as he kept my glasses on my eyes. "You are cute!" He tapped my nose and stood up. " I'll bring some food. Just don't run away!"
I sat there completely dumbfounded and bewildered with my eyes wide open.
What just happened?
He must have forgotten to take his pills.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
