"No means no. You won't dress like a nun anymore Soph."

God! What had gotten on to me when I revealed my phone number to her?!

"What you mean by dressing up like a nun is decent right?" I said. "No. What do you mean you dress up decently? Does that means I dress up in an indecent way?" She shouted at me and I was sure if not both, I'll lose one of my ear today.

"Lia, I have ears. Can you lower your voice a little? And I really love your fashion sense. I just...."

"Okay. It's decided. We are going shopping tomorrow!" She declared. "But-" she hung up.

The other day I had to teach Carter. How could I go shopping?My fist thought was to refuse Lia's offer but then I remembered, that I'm not Carter's puppy. And I shouldn't have been acting like one either.

I decided, I'll just go to him and tell him nicely, that I'm busy and everything will be fine. Yeah everything will be fine!

We were walking towards the lockers after lunch. Lunch with Lia was exciting. You should've watched her eat. She is the most carefree girl I've ever met my whole life. Her hair, her dress, her shoes and even her jewellery was eating the burger with her.

"Who is this guy Sophia?" Lia asked excitedly as she squeezed my arm.

"Who?" I turned around to look at what caught her eyes.

"Shit! He just left the corridor. Oh my god Soph! You know, that guy? He just saved me from falling down and then he blushed when he realised the position we were in. Only I know how much I wanted to pinch his cheeks at that moment. God, I really really like him. What's his name Sophia?"

"I have not seen the guy yet. Show me again when he's around. I'll see if I know him." I started walking towards the class and I was sure that Lia hasn't moved from her place. "Come on Lia. Stop daydreaming. You are going to be late!"

She ran towards me. "You know what? We are already late! Mr William is going to be a bitch!"

"Lia, if someone hears you calling him a female dog it's not going to go good." I warned her. She started to say something but stopped abruptly, her eyes fixed behind me.

"Hi Nerdy! Oh and hi... Nerdy's hot friend!" The voice I hated spoke. Jack! Did I tell you who he is? He is a dog! A dog that has mental disorder and bites everyone! Yeah that kind of a dog. His face resembles a dog too. And you know who he was friends with? Not so surprisingly, Carter.

Jack bullied me to the point that I didn't want to come school anymore. Me, not coming to school was like... impossible. I loved school. You can't possibly do anything to stop me from going. But Jack can.

I ignored him and continued walking. Lia didn't follow me. She stood there and glared at Jack who winked at her in return. He shouldn't have done that because that very moment he was graced by a lovely slap from my extremely lovely friend.

She was superb. The expression on his face was so funny, I couldn't help but giggle at the sight. He obviously was taken aback by the sudden slap and I can bet it was painful. Come on! It's Lia we are talking about. And the way his hand rubbed the affected area, was a clear proof of how much pain he was in. "If you want to talk, talk with respect. Or keep quiet!"

I could tell Jack was burning with anger. His face showed red! "Carter!" He shouted which felt like a warning to me and from his back Carter appeared.

Okay Sophia! You are in great trouble! Maybe not, because Lia was at fault right now. Not actually... but that means Lia is in trouble!

Carter started to walk towards me. "W-w-what did I d-d-do?"

"Did I say you did something?" He snapped back at me. I shook my head and gulped, taking a step back, I crashed into someone who instantly held me from falling forward and over Carter. Turning my head, I came face to face with Isaac.

Oh, it was just Isaac! Thank you so much god!

It wasn't that I was very happy to see Isaac but I was happy to not see anyone else who would join hands with Carter in bullying. "Come with me Sophia. Sir wants you in class. Now!" Isaac removed his hands from my back and held my hand tightly as he started to drag me with him. He looked back as he spoke, "You too, new girl!" And Lia followed immediately.

As soon as we were out of the sight of 'the bullies' he left my hand and walked away. Lia came beside me instantly. "Oh my god! Oh my god! He is the guy I was talking about! God, he saved us again! What's his name? What's his name?" She jumped.

"Isaac!" I told her as I rolled my eyes. "And, he did not save us! He just told that Sir was calling us. Why would he save us anyways? What are we to him?"

"He is a nice guy Sophia. I just know that!"

"Though, he's my enemy but I can't stop you from crushing over him." I entered the class and occupied one of the only three seats left in the front row. Lia sat beside me. "Enemy? Why?"

"He is my competition in class. I mean, I-"

"Yeah, yeah! I get it. You get almost same marks and he answers all questions just like you and you want to be ahead of him and all that shit. But, you have to thank him!"

"Thank him? For what actually?" I was never going to thank that idiot.

"For saving us idiot! Sophia, if you don't want to thank him, I'll do that alone. Just come with me. I mean I don't even know him and... this can be a chance to know him you know...."

I sighed. "Okay."

"And then we can start small talks, call him to sit with us in lunch, try to get his attention-" Lia started to day dream again.

"Is there anything that will shut you up Lia?" She chuckled.

"I don't think so."

When the class was over we walked out of the room -behind Isaac. He was fast. Lia ran, dragging me along with her as she shouted. "Wait!"

Isaac, upon noticing us, turned around and raised his eyebrows. Finally Lia stopped running when we were near him. "Hi Isaac!" She said, a little out of breath.

"Hey... what's your name?" Isaac tried to smile but what I could feel through his expressions was that he was confused.

"Amelia. But you can call me Lia," Lia beamed, shaking hands with him.

"Okay, it was nice meeting you Lia. See you around." Isaac smiled as he turned around to walk. He wasn't the talkative type and I knew starting a small talk won't work with him. Lia frowned as she spoke, "Wait! Isaac!"

"Yeah!" Isaac looked irritated.

"We wanted to thank you." She smiled.

"For?" I gave Lia an I-told-you-so look.

"For saving us!"

"Oh! No, no, I didn't save you. Mr. William was calling Sophia."

"Oh, okay. So... umm... would you like to hangout sometime?"

"Hangout?" He rubbed the back of his neck. I swear I saw him blushing a little. I smiled at him. I admit, he was cute. "Yeah! How about you sit with us in lunch?" He blushed more. His nose became red too. I felt bad for him. He was subjected to the extreme words of Lia.

Poor guy!

God Lia! Stop doing this...

"Okay, I'll see." He tried to smile.

"Bye, Isaac!" Lia waved.

"Bye! Sophia,.. Lia." He said as he walked away.

Lia sighed, "Isn't he cutie pie?" She squealed. "Yeah he is cute-Oh shit!"

"What happened Sophia?" Lia questioned. "Shit, shit, shit! I have to inform Carter about today. How can I forget it."

"What about today?"

"My lovely friend forced me to go shopping with her and so I have to cancel Carter's tutoring session today!" I started walking towards my locker.

"Wait! What? Tutoring? You tutor trouble?"

"Yeah! And I hope to finish it as soon as possible. But you-"

"Who is Amelia Garfield? Sir William is calling her." A junior student announced and a concerned look passed over Lia's features. "Why?"

"How would I know?" He shrugged. Lia came towards me, "Meet me outside. Okay?"

I nodded and she left.

I groaned as I hit my head a multiple times on the lockers. I heard a chuckle from the door and my eyes caught Carter who was leaning against the wall, his arms crossed as he watched me intently. "This time, don't blame on someone when you get a fever!"

"Hi!" I forced out. It felt more like a hiccup. "Hey!" He said the same way I did, hiccuping.

"Sorry C-c-carter, I can't tutor you to-today." I told him, thought of him murdering me dancing in my brain. He came warningly closer to me.

"Why? Why Sparkle?" He said, his eyes burning holes on my face.

"B-b-because I-I have to-"

"You have to what? Hangout with that dude Isaac?" He took another step closer making me jerk back and hitting the locker in the process. I shut my eyes as I realised there was no way back. "Or because, you wanna go on a date with him?"

Where was all this coming from? Date? With Isaac? Eww!

"Or maybe a study date it is. " I could feel his breathing on my face. I swallowed hard, sticking further into the lockers. "Tell me!" He barked and I shot opened my eyes. I wanted to cry but I held my tears back.

"Answer me Sophia!"

"I h-have to go shopping wi-with Lia."

He stepped back and shook his head as if he suddenly realized something. "S-sorry! We'll compensate some other day. Enjoy with your friend." I didn't move. I watched as he started to walk away. I got away from the locker and sighed. He turned around making me stumble and my breathing to get caught in the middle.

He frowned. "I was just saying bye!"

"B-bbye!"
