At least it isn't all bad, he gets to finally make use of those cooking lessons he was dragged into. Chapters 1-4 are kind of like a prologue, they are self contained and only give some background information for the rest of the story.*********This is my first attempt trying to write any type of longer form story so I have no idea if any thing I produce will be readable, I've tried to make sure I have a decent level of grammar and there are no spelling mistakes, but if you do find any please let me know. I am also from the home of tea and crumpets (the uk) so if there are some u's and s's your not used to seeing thats probably it. Uh I dont really know what else to put in a story description so just give it a shot and let me know what you think, any pointers would be greatly appeciated.

The golden rain suddenly came and showered the streets of Japan in its ethereal glow before all hell broke loose. Devastating hurricanes, storms earthquakes and tsunamis suddenly appeared all over the world destroying whatever was in their path. Sakura, a regular office worker who was actually decently beautiful, didn't amount to much in life because of poor choices. After another failed date with a guy she thought was promising, she went home to her apartment complex with the intention to cheer herself up, by baking some cookies and watching her favourite TV show. Yet, that never happened, as she found herself crashing through her wall as the building crumbled to pieces around her. Right before her eyes the world had become an underwater grave and she became apart of it . When she came awoke she found herself in a strange world with a new mother. Which didn’t last very long.

This one could also stand a complete re-write with the knowledge and skill I've developed in the interim, and I may do so once I have pushed out chapters for the third book in the series. In the not too distant future, a group of seven people will set out on a mission of exploration to a nearby star system. Their destination is the Tau Ceti system, one of ten planned destinations as part of a new privately-funded space programme, involving many countries across the Earth. However, old problems still exist, and while they make their successful launch, they have no idea what begins to take place at home, what they will face on their journey, and who decides to pay Earth a visit while they are gone.
