《KATANA ~ a MHA fanfic》Chapter 25 - Reunion

"I want you to turn around and go inside the house." the pro asked of her and watched as she couldn't help but obey because of his quirk.
"Shit." Anna watched, unable to do anything just yet. She moved to a better location where she would get a clear shot through a window.
"I've already called the police, they'll be here any moment." the teenage boy said, shaking.
Anna held up her bow and arrow and aimed at the pro hero. She focused and waited for her opening, then fired the arrow and hit him in his leg.
"Hitoshi! Where'd that come from?" the mother rushed to his side to help him up, but when she turned around her daughter was gone.
As Katana ran as fast as she could, she couldn't stop. It was like all of her emotions came crashing down and legs took over her body, with tears running down her face like a waterfall.
"Kat! Slow down, we're far away."
The white haired girl snapped out of it and stopped running. She dried her tears with her hand as she tried to remain calm.
But she couldn't.
She fell down to her knees and started crying again. Her sister stepped closer to her and bent down to her level. When she tried to put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her, it was flicked away by the angry blue eyed girl.
"No! Get away from me..."
"I'm sorry about lying to you, but you're not okay-"
"And who's fault is that?" Katana yelled.
Anna moved away and there was a pause before Katana spoke again.
"I'm sorry... I was the one who wanted to come here to give her... my, family some closure. But really..."
She looked up to her sister with her big, deep blue eyes that were shining in the moonlight because of her tears. Anna hadn't seen that look on her face since that one, fateful day, 5 years ago.

"I-I wanted a glimpse at the life that could've been... the life that used to be mine."
She stood up and fell into the black haired girls chest, more tears streaming down her cheeks, wetting both of their shirts.
"And instead I made it all worse... cause now they're losing her all over again!"
Anna couldn't get a word out as she felt the pain in her sisters voice. Her own mind had betrayed her and now she was suffering. Poor girl was lost, but who wouldn't be?
She was stuck. The people that greeted her at the door knew her from years ago, someone Katana didn't know.
But that girl is gone, and she's feeling guilty about it.
"Shh... hey, it's going to be fine." the green eyed assassin stroked her sisters head while holding her close.
"No! It's not going to be fine, Anastasia. I can't-"
Her words were suddenly cut off by Anna pushing her and herself down as a sharp blade flew by. Katana turned around to see where it came from, only to see darkness. She felt her sisters hold on her loosen up and turned around to face her.
"Anna!" the assassin was lying on the ground, somehow knocked out.
Katana gritted her teeth and looked around, trying to find who was responsible. But as she did, she felt uneasy and fell in and out of consciousness until she couldn't stand on her feet anymore.

"Wake up!" the white haired girl heard her sister whisper as she blinked a couple of times, waking up.
She looked around and they appeared to be in an old basement of some sort. Both of them on chairs, tied up in chains. Katana struggled to break out of them and eventually gave up.
"Trust me, I've already tried." Anna said as she leaned back and closed her eyes.
"What happened?"
"I don't know, I woke up just before you did."

Suddenly, the door handle was moving. The girls were on guard even though there wasn't much they could do. In walked a scabby man dressed in all black, they knew who this was.
"Shigaraki."
"I see you've woken up from your little nap."
"Let us go you psychopath!" Anna yelled and yanked her arms.
"You won't break out of those chains, better stop before I make sure you don't have any hands to break free at all..."
The black haired girl settled down but her angry expression never disappeared. Katanas didn't either. Her blue eyes stared directly into his one red eye that was visible, as she copied his quirk. She waited until it was the right time to use it though.
"My, my. It's been quite some time since I last saw you."
He put his hand on her chin and tilted her face up, forcing her to remain eye contact with him. In return, she bit him.
"That was uncalled for..." he removed his hand slowly and backed up against a wall.
"What do you want with us?" Katana asked and gritted her teeth even harder.
"I was actually looking for your father..." he turned to face Anna, who was even more irritated than her sister.
"He took something of mine, so I thought I'd take something of his..."
His raspy and quiet voice spooked the girls and the words made them shiver to their core.
"But instead..." he slowly stepped closer to Katana.
"I found a kinder egg surprise in this attack..."
"You're sick!" Anna yanked her chains again and before she knew it, Shigaraki was up close to her face while holding his hand up.
"One more word and I'll turn your whole body to dust..." he whispered in her ear but even the white haired girl heard it loud and clear.
He moved away from the now slightly shaking assassin, and turned to face Katana.
"As I was saying... It's nice to see you after all these years."
"What do you mean years? It's only been..." the blue eyed assassin started to say, but that's when she realised something.
"It was for a girl named Zella Mikio. She died 4 years ago after being kidnapped by a group of villains. A ceremony is held every year to honour her life and it also serves as a reminder of why heroes do what they do. To stop horrible incidents like that from happening."
- - -
"Of course!" Katana thought and looked up to the man in black.
But before she could say anything, he put a finger on her chains and spoke.
"Don't tell me you've forgotten?"
The white haired girl remained quiet. He recognised her as Zella, not the assassin who tried to kill him last year. That means she needs to be careful with her choice of words.
"Oh, come on. It's been what, 5 years? It's nice to reunite, you look great for someone who's dead..."
Katana spat on his face and looked at him with disgust. She didn't know why he kidnapped her then and she wasn't gonna wait around until she died a second time now. In the split moment he was distracted, she turned her chains into dust and kicked him in the stomach. She quickly reached for Annas chains and destroyed them too.
"I would sit back down if I were you..." the grey skinned man flicked her saliva away and pointed at the door. In walked 3 villains who appeared to be working alongside him.
One of them had tired skin just like him, piercing ice blue eyes and dark blue hair. His lips were dry and ears were pointy. That man walked up to the girls and looked them up and down before he spoke.
"You heard him..."

Updates Once a Week next update 10/5 Wracked with misfortune, a nameless village along the edge of the Gray Spine rejoiced at the arrival of a paladin. Why has she come to their village? Nayinis divulges her shadowed past, for she needs the village's trust to defeat the powerful foe that she has been summoned by the divine to face. What to expect: This is a slow-paced, dark, epic-fantasy book written mostly in an archaic first-person style, remniscent of fariy-tale at times. I am expecting the final product to be close to 600-700 pages. The first few chapters introduce a somewhat-steep learning curve of names and mythology of the world that plateaus at aroud chapter 5.
