《KATANA ~ a MHA fanfic》Chapter 9 - This town

"What's up cutie?" a voice was heard behind Katana and she turned around.
It was a man, maybe in his mid 30's, who was obviously drunk.
"Sorry, not interested." she said, turned around and took another shot. She already wanted to go home.
Then she felt an arm snake around her waist, down to her ass and felt it get squeezed. The assassin grabbed the arm and flipped the person on to the bar.
"I said, I am not interested. Have a good night." Katana said and walked towards the dance floor to find her sister. People at the scene were too scared to say anything and just kept on drinking.
The music was very loud and the room quite dark so it was hard to see faces clearly. The place was crowded and eventually Katana gave up.
"Ugh, I can't believe I lost her."
Suddenly, she felt someone grab her arm. Immediately her body tensed up and she was ready to attack the person. That was until she felt another hand over her mouth and someone coming up right behind her, talking in her ear.
"Relax, I'm not going to hurt you." the voice said.
The person let go of her mouth and guided her towards the middle of the club. Surprisingly, that was the place where there was the most space.
The two came face to face with each other.
"Crap! It must be the hero from before, it's hard to see." Katana thought and was on high alert, ready to fight any second.
He grabbed her waist with both his hands and started dancing with her.
"What the hell is going on? Is this a trap? No he wouldn't, this is a public space. Wait, maybe it's not even him."
Katana just went along with it. She put her arms around his neck and moved to the rhythm of the music.

"You know, if you wanted to dance with me you could've just asked." she finally said.
"I was afraid I would end up like that guy back there."
"You saw that? Aww, and you still went to me? How sweet."
"My bad, I should've said - like how I ended up, earlier today." he said with a more serious tone.
"You hold grudges? Not a good look on a hero I'd say." Katana said and smirked.
"Cut the fake act."
"What do you know it's an act? Have we met before?" she said sarcastically.
He rolled his eyes and tightened his grip on her waist. He was getting annoyed now.
"You flipped him the same way you did to me. Who are you and what are you doing here?"
Now Katana was the one who was getting annoyed.
"Calm down icy, you're killing the mood here. People are looking."
The volume of the music was slowly going down. The DJ picked his microphone up before he spoke.
"This next song is for a certain special girl named Zella, it's her birthday today but one she couldn't make. I have a guest here who would like to say a few words."
"The song's kinda lame, but she loved it. So you idiots better sing along!!!" an ash blonde man yelled, looking down at the floor.
"Happy birthday, Zel."
"Waking up to kiss you and nobody's there..."
Immediately the whole club started to calm down and either sang along or just listened. Even the hero in front of me let go and almost had a sad look on his emotionless face. The lights changed and his eyes were more clear than ever. I recognise them. Not from today, no... from the bar. He was the one who gave a toast to that girl. I wonder just how close they were if he reacts this way 4 years later...

Wait...
If the lighting made his eyes pop that means he'll see mine too. I better try and cover my face a bit with my wig.
He looked back at me. His glare told me not to go anywhere cause he will follow and take me down. Honestly I wasn't feeling up to fighting him again so there's no point in running. It's not like he'll fight me right here right now anyways.
"If the whole world was watching I'd still dance with you..."
The whole club was singing along at this point. Even I was close to singing, it's my favourite song too... But I took the chance to scan the room for Anna. God knows what she's been up to this whole night.
I felt someone cling onto me and instantly I knew it was her. I heard her sob and my shoulder get wet of her tears.
"Kat!!!! Remember this song? We used to sing it all the time!!!"
I don't think I've ever seen her this drunk. But she didn't care, and honestly, the alcohol in me didn't either.
I held onto Anna as we sang along with the crowd. Some random people joined in and held us. Soon the whole club was one big group holding on to each other singing the song.
"And I wanna tell you everything, the words I never got to say the first time around..."
It was a weird feeling and I can't explain why or how, but I felt home. Now I understand why people say that home is a feeling, not a place.
"Wish I was there with you now..."
The blonde man from the bar earlier took Annas hand and started dancing with her. She might be in love, cause she has never looked at anyone like that. The way he was looking at her too... I can't tell if he's horny or in love. Maybe both?
"Over and over, the only truth..."
If they get married I'm performing this song and they can't complain about it. Although they already look married, cute.
I turned my eyes back to the crowd and just held on to someone random. I guess I could try and have a little fun.
Everyone cheered and applauded as the song was finishing up. Anna was still crying and was just as drunk. I grabbed her arm from the blonde, just waved him goodbye and walked towards the exit. Luckily, the hero that was onto me didn't follow. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts at the moment and I took the chance to sneak out.
I opened the exit door and practically dragged Annas ass out. To my surprise, heterochromia eyes met mine and I sighed in defeat. He must've predicted this. Though, he wasn't alone. The ash blonde yelling from the stage earlier stood behind him, leaning on a wall.
"Obsessed with me aren't ya?"
"This is who beat you earlier? Pfft." the crimson eyed man said.
I know he didn't just say that. He's lucky Anna here is knocked out cause she would've smacked his head even harder than I would.
"I think these two girls were the fighters on the rooftop who were after Shigaraki."
The ash blonde shot his eyes wide open. Partly because of what he said, but also partly because of how straight to the point he was.

From Ninja to Pirate
Life can be difficult, hard and painful. Who am I kidding? Most of you probably have already experienced first-hand, all the difficulties, hardships and pains in life that I talk of, so rather than listen to me teach the lessons on how you should stay strong and look forward to the good things, I think you'd much rather prefer me to just get on with my story, and that's exactly what I'll do.My name was Uzumaki Naruto. I was a genin of the hidden village of the leaves, and the team-mate of Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. My parents were the Fourth Hokage and the Jinchuuriki of the nine-tailed fox before me, and I was what people called, a failure. But now, the story has reversed. No more failure. No more Naruto. No more ninja.I am Akagami D. Natsuki, a girl who challenges the world, in the era of pirates! All credits go to Oda Eiichiro and Kishimoto Masashi for writing One Piece and Naruto. This is a fanfiction I wrote for my own pleasure. Please don't judge it too harshly... I have checked for spelling and grammar mistakes, but just in case there is the occasional mistake, please comment on it, rather than insult me. From personal experience, I have seen people insulting my grammar, with a comment akin to:"Cant u even spell 'mom' correctly? It's 'mom' not 'mum' you idiot!!!" So, please, don't insult me like that... It really ruins my day, which might have already been awful... Also, I apologise if they get really overpowered, or sound really arrogant... I don't mean it that way, but that's how it is read, so I'm sorry before hand. Well done for making it this far, and thank you for reading. noelicoan.
