As soon as the sentence is uttered by my father, I let out a loud gasp. Unfortunately, due to the silence in the room, everyone's attention is drawn to me. Instead of being focused on everyone in the room, I turn to my father fully "Are you sure, πατέρας?" (πατέρας - Father) He looks up at me and just simply nods his head slightly. Closing my eyes, I take an unneeded breath "Sorry for the disturbance everyone. I lost myself a little." I let out a slight giggle with a small smile before situating myself in my usual spot at my father's throne.
Well, that is what I want to do, Aro has other ideas. "Dear Gaia, would you mind?" He says while gesturing to his outstretched hand. I bite my lip slightly and walk over to him with delicate steps. Placing my hand in his, I turn to face Caius and mouth 'he's my true mate'. Maybe, I shouldn't have done that as due to his facial expression, he looks ready to commit a beheading without hearing out the poor lost vampire. Aro clears his throat and looks into my eyes with a pained expression "Dear Principessa I think you deserve to know why this vampire is here."
So, with that sentence, I turn and gesture for the frail vampire to speak. "My name is Edward Cullen and I would like to ask for you to be merciful and sentence me to death." If I were human, I'm sure I would be a teary bubbling mess, thankfully vampires can't cry. I suck in my breath and nod "and can I ask why you would like to be sentenced to death? Have you committed a crime and come to repent?" I ask in hopes it's that simple rather than something which could harm my undead heart.

The shaking of his head has me clutching my father's hand "No my princess, you see my mate has died and therefore I do not see the need or want to live in a world without her." This now causes more confusion from myself and my Male family figures. "Your mate?" My Father asks in his usual meek voice. "Yes my king, my mate. She apparently jumped off of a cliff and died due to my sister not foreseeing her coming above the surface. However, it was not Alice who informed me of such but rather my other sister Rosalie."
Now, saying your mate jumped off of a cliff shouldn't have caused death unless....his 'mate' is or rather was human. Uncle Caius' face was a picture I wish never to forget. His realisation of the supposed mate being human is one of mass devastation "and, did your mate remain human and know of our kind?" Caius spits out the word mate like it has some kind of bad taste to it. Well I supposed it does due to the fact his mate is in front of him hearing of his fake one causing his suicide attempt.
Edward just nods and looks to Aro for him to say something. Now, one thing you should know about my Uncle Aro is he is a very smart man but also, family comes first. "Are you sure this human is your true mate?"
That one question seems to hit my mate like a truck. The face he pulls is like he never even thought anything other than this weak human being his mate. "Of course she is my mate! Why would you even ask such a thing? King Marcus can check!" He roars out in such an outburst that it causes Demetri to be on guard in case of him attacking me or the kings. I wave my hand making him stand down. All members of the guard present in the room, my uncles and my mate all turn to my father.
