Anthony let out a heavy sigh, in relief. For once in a quite some time, he found himself chatting all the way with Mami. Who knew where did that come from, but he would just typed away to build up their little conversation by sending late-replies; mostly asking and answering questions.

Not as frequent as he would like, since they still had the time difference - thus the late-replies - thus the continuation; but Anthony felt the need to tell her about some of his issues, mostly about his job. And quite frankly, she understood him. Not many people could understand the stress that Anthony had to deal with. Not many of his friends were actually working. And the fact that she turned out to have knowledge in similar working field, made their conversation turned out so smoothly; talking about cost management, and supply chain, and other stuff that his friends would consider boring. So that alone was a plus for Mami.

There was also this thing like meeting new people from all over the world, the people he never knew even existed. For once he had a conversation with a woman from Bali; the first ever Balinese person he talked to. The first ever Indonesian person he met. From then on he learned a lot about her country, culture, daily life; how the people eat with hands instead of spoon and fork because that was how the common way to eat; how they drove on the left side of the road; how they had so many regional languages for different parts of the provinces; how her life was so much more interesting compare to him.

Not to mention she was just fun to talk to in general. That pushed him forward to really keep the talk going.

But above all else, he did all of this because for the fact that he was lonely.
