01.07.2022- 01.08.2022 *double update coming soon*
My once peaceful year has officially turned into a full-time babysitting job. I groaned, leaning back in my chair and tossing around the stress ball I had confiscated from a student when they decided to throw it at my head for some reason. I glanced at the clock and caught the stress ball one more time before getting up, we were supervising Hagrid's class today and I had a bad feeling about it.
When I arrived, I looked around surprised to hear Hagrid call out, "hairbrushes" in horse.
"Umm Hagrid what was that?" I asked and he looked back at me startled,
"Oh! That was just their call- look here comes ones now!" he said gesturing towards a... Pegasus? They were different though skinnier- more reptilian like.
"My lord," The not-pegasus said nodding his head before going to the carcass and tearing into it.
"Excuse me," Draco interrupted, "but what exactly are we supposed to be seeing?"
I looked around and there were several people who seemed confused
"Thestrals," Hagrid presented I looked at him cautiously before reaching out and petting one that had come over to me.
"And what's your name?" I asked softly,
'Blue' he replied and a grin spread across my face
"But there really, really unlucky!" Parvati exclaimed practically shaking
'rude' Blue huffed and I nodded, picking up some of the meat for him to eat,
"They're supposed to bring all sorts of horrible misfortune on people who see them. Professor Trelawney told me once-,"
"No, no, no, tha's jus' superstition, that is, they aren' unlucky, they're dead clever an' useful! 'Course, this lot don' get a lot o' work, it's mainly jus' pulling the school carriages-,"

'Those things are heavy, and the harnesses are uncomfortable,' Blue said looking up from his meat, 'we don't need all those buckles, or even the bits- we do our job fine without them,' I frowned and nodded petting his smooth skin,
"I'll talk to Hagrid about it," I whispered to him. There was a soft cough from beside me and I glanced at Dolores once before handing her a cough drop. I had taken to carry them around,
'I don't like her-,' Blue commented, 'she smells funny' I frowned again. That was never good, 'Blackjack talks about you,' Blue mentioned between bites and I smiled,
"Does he now?" I asked, Blue nodding,
'He says you're an amazing rider- what to try?' He asked and I nodded excitedly, climbing onto him,
"Wait! Percy!" Hagrid said causing me to pause,
"What's up?" I asked confused,
"Careful- their very temperamental creatures," he said,
'he's a temperamental creature,' the thestral huffed and I laughed,
"I think it'll be fine," I said before swinging my other leg up and before I was even settled Blue took off, I let out a whoop, laughing as we skimmed over the lake and even as he did a loop, dropping me in the process, I flipped around landing back onto him softly. Laughing,
"It's been a while since I've done this," I said over the wind,
'Blackjack wasn't joking about your skills,' Blue commented, 'but let's see if you can take this,' he nosedived back into the wood.
"Whoop! Yeah!" I called out as we narrowly dodged trees and branches. Skimming past creatures, and then lifting back up and breaking through the canopy, I smiled as we were weightless for a second before Blue took a nose dive again, flying us expertly around the forest.

When we finally settled down back by the class, everyone was looking at me shocked,
"What?" I asked looking around, "What happened?"
"That was bloody amazing flying!" Ron blurted out and I laughed,
"It was all Blue here," I said patting his neck, and retrieving another piece of the meat for him, before looking at the time, "Oh! D-erm-Umbridge, I've got a class," I said looking back over at Blue, feeding him the last of the meat before smiling and promising to visit him soon.

Where Muses Go To Die
Crazy, messed-up, off-the-top-of-my-head writings, put here because submitting them one by one would take too long. So far there have been (7) fictions started, with no end in sight! If you like stories with a conclusion, you're going to hate this. However, if you like ongoing stories, you'll still hate it, because I'm an amateur writer with six months of experience of writing whenever I feel like it, and a habit of annoying the heck out of people. Because, when there's nothing left to say, there's always...TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLWARNING:Rating this mature for any/all future gore, violence, torture, that kinda stuff. Will update if I go beyond any of that. UPDATE: Starting cussing in #1, and probably others soon as well.:) UPDATE: #7 is all about suicide, so for all those who are offended by that stuff, you've been warned.

Courier
Zoe Blanco moved to New York after fleeing the small town she grew up in and the Purity Church that controls it. The Church believes in keeping humanity pure. This means none of the NanoPCs known as Frames or any other cybernetics that most of the rest of the world uses and enjoys everyday. Upon arriving in the Big Apple, Zoe is picked up by her cousin and witnesses a courier weaving their motorcycle through traffic. Zoe envies the courier's freedom. Couriers transport data and on occasion small objects for anyone willing to pay the price. Secured delivery is guaranteed and no questions are asked. Like having a human servant in this corporate owned world, using couriers is seen as a status symbol for the wealthy and corporate elite. New York's criminal underground uses couriers for similar reasons. This gives the hundreds of couriers in NYC steady work. After weeks of not finding a job while living with her aunt and cousin, Zoe turns to her slicing skills to steal credits from the Purity Church and turns to the mob so she can get a loan to pay for the internal secure storage space a courier needs and a frame for herself. After making an unlicensed run or two, Zoe finds employment with a transport company and truly starts her life as a courier. This story is a mix of light scifi, cyberpunk, slice of life, a dash of action, and a smidge of fantasy. Slicing is what hacking is called in this story. Credits are currency in this story.
