"I'll let you come over to my place since you've been such a good girl lately."
Tooru's conniving words didn't make you stop pondering about the possibilities he had in mind. They appeared to be sensual and seductive but also innocent, your mind couldn't think straight after hearing it and you anticipated for night to come faster.
"Am I finally meeting your hubby?!" Naomi's voice sang through the room.
Clutching the mascara wand in your hand, a warning glare shot from your expression. "You better behave and not make a fool out of me."
"Since when did I ever make a fool out of you?" she questioned guiltlessly, shrugging before fixating her outfit in front of your standing mirror. "I'm going to scope out for my own daddy while you play with yours."
Now you second guessed about inviting her. Knowing her whimsical self, she planned to flirt relentlessly with the next eye-candy she sets her eyes on and you can imagine her indecisiveness when meeting Tooru's friends. You can only guess that he won't be the only star athlete there and Naomi would be the first to start drooling before you.
The door bell rang from your front door as well as your cell phone blinking on top of your vanity table. With eyes drawn to the screen first, Oikawa's name appeared on your screen notifying his arrival at your place. You zoomed to your front door, stubbing your toe in the process at the leg of your brown coffee table.
"Am I too early?" the familiar smile stretched on his lips the minute you opened the door for him, and Naomi gawked so intently at the beautiful man behind you.
The pain at your toe didn't make it easier for you return the smile, opening the door wider. "Not at all. You're on time."
"And you must be her friend, perhaps?" Tooru's brown optics flowed to her widened ones, stiffening at the brunette's warm gaze. Those internet pictures she showed you didn't do him justice as far as she's aware of.
"Why, yes! [Name] told me all about you!"
Oh no... Your heart sank when she opened her mouth as you can sense Tooru's brows rose in suspense.
"Oh?" he uttered; a mischievous smile plastered on him for her to keep talking. "You don't say. Do tell."
"We should get going now," you announced, desperately cutting the conversation before your best friend can get a chance to say any more than she should. But sadly, the topic wasn't forgotten once the three of you left your place and walked onto Tokyo's night life.
You even gaped at Naomi beside you who kept on entertaining the idea of you being starstruck with Tooru and he was taking it all in like a spoiled child. His look urged her to say more as you depicted him saying "Really?" and "What else?" to hear the rest of the juicy details she had in store for him. Luckily, you managed to argue with her before she can dispute any unnecessary stories about you.
Looking over at the brunette who seemed to not mind, he clearly noticed your embarrassment but didn't press you about it. Instead, a pleasing smile situated on his lips and only laughed out of enjoyment.
"Well, well, well... Guess who decided to show up?"
Tooru's presence was like a ghost. Widened eyes surrounded the brunette the second he entered the modern bar lounge only to be greeted by misbelief. A head of orange hair flocked to the famous setter with pure excitement. For a split second, you wondered how a minor came to a bar without getting carded but the moment he spoke, he sounded manlier than you expected.

"Oikawa-san! You didn't flake this time," the shortie mentioned but his brown eyes wavered to where you and Naomi were, then stiffened his posture at the beautiful aura emitting from you two. It was like he heard angels sing in the background. "I-I'm Hinata Shoyo! Pleasure to please you- I mean, meet you!"
A wave of laughter erupted behind him from the men at the bar as Tooru gave a lecturing chop at his head. "You guys are still the same as ever! Am I the only one who's a changed man?"
"That's right, you're a dad now," a head of spiky black hair called, motioning his hand for the rest of you guys to join them. "That explains why you've been flaking our plans."
"Hey, don't make fun of the guy. This might be the last time we see him before he goes awol," ordered one male who has hair shaped like the end of an onion.
A man with gray tips tittered at that. "Doubt it! Oikawa is been busy with the ladies. He even brought not only one but two hot chicks!"
"Don't say that," one with short curly hair scolded him.
"You guys have the worst assumptions of me. Is this your way of saying you miss me? I imagine a more warming welcome!" growled Tooru who is greatly disappointed with his friends. The laughter continued until they all gazed at you now that the person, Bokuto, pointed the attention.
"Why, hello there," said one as he leaned up against the bar to turn to your direction. "Name's Kuroo, but I don't mind you calling me Tetsuro."
"Moving to first name basis already?" Tooru exclaimed, disapproving the man who only gave a cunning smirk his way - obviously teasing him.
Kuroo grinned with a scheming face. "Yeah, does that bother you?"
"Yes! I mean, no!" he shook his head frantically and crossed his arms with a unknown smile. "[Name] is a smart woman. She wouldn't give in to cheesy pick up lines."
"Is that so?" Bokuto chimed in with a suggestive brow raising on his forehead and an 'okay' sign. "Thanks for the tip, Great King!"
Laughing at Tooru's face dropped in distraught, they were clearly messing with him.
Throughout the night, you were bombarded with greetings and flattery comments, wondering if the alcohol they've consumed assisted their blinded confidence. All but one who sat at the bar stool, aiming his silent olive eyes at your best friend who is already infatuated by him and attempt to converse with him. With a simple nod from him, Naomi instantly went head over heels. How can anybody not? The man was in a suit and tie for crying out loud.
"Hell, I'm in hot men heaven! But that's one delicious looking man," she howled to you while eying Ushijima's form sipping on his whiskey glass in slow motion. And you have to admit, this is indeed hot men heaven. You might even take an interest volleyball now.
As for Tooru, he even attracted the hitchhiking ladies that Bokuto brought over and they began putting their attention on the simple minded Oikawa, which caused Bokuto to glare.
"That guy pisses me off," he grumbled with crossed arms, envious that the women he invited was instantly captured by Tooru's boyish charm. "I was in the Olympics for Japan too!"
"I told ya to get rid of the frosted tips," advised Akaashi, then raised his hands defensively when Bokuto shot him a look.

"So how's the kid, Oikawa?" Kuroo enlightened the mood, slapping an encouraging hand at the back of his shoulder. "Still changing his diapers?"
"Has it been that long? He's potty trained now."
"Does this mean you're going to play in the league again?" Hinata pressed.
"Mm, don't know. If you really want to play against me and lose again, I'll consider it," smiled Tooru, knowing his comment would fire up a few heads in the room. The testosterone in the air was intense and you wondered athletes talk to each other like this on a regular basis.
You can conclude that they just wanna show off their big dick energy.
"You have a son?" One of the women was intrigued of the fact.
Just the mention of it, Tooru's eyes sparkled in enlightenment and nodded. "Yep. He's the cutest thing ever."
Resisting yourself from hearing their conversation, you paused after ordering yourself a club soda and Russian vodka and trailed your gaze at the occupied brunette leaning against the bar counter with the same women circling him. He was there for some time, not really making conversations with his other friends other than Kindaichi and Hinata who genuinely wants to talk more than just volleyball.
Just like Tooru, you held the attention of the boys while Naomi fixated herself in flirting with Ushijima. The man was surprisingly interested despite how intimidating he looked. Regardless of Kuroo's story telling, you couldn't help yourself when you heard one woman speaking to Tooru.
"Do you have a girlfriend or wife, Oikawa? She must be so lucky to have a famous Olympic winner as her lover." You were surprised at the fact with a kid involved in his life, women would still pursue him.
You thought he was going to spill the same excuse he gave to the last woman he rejected about a week ago. But there was no hindrance of conjuring one as Tooru mindlessly replied with an apologetic face.
"I don't, but I'm actually not interested in dating," he said finally, an uproar of 'aw's escaped from their mouths. This, however, caught your attention.
So he's not married after all, at least not yet.
His dating status is all skewed, presuming that he is in fact single by the stern tone he gave when stating that sentence. But you can only wonder how much truth it holds, especially him not wanting to date. Despite how generous he sounded, his conversation with the women remained stagnant filled with nothing but small talks.
"Strange to see Oikawa here," muttered Akaashi.
Your eyes aimed at him. "Why's that?"
"He doesn't come out like he usually does," Kuroo added while throwing a limp hand. "Ever since we've heard he has a kid, he don't get to see him that often. Pretty boy wouldn't skip out on hangouts like these before."
"Funny, he would be the first to round us together. Guess Tetsu kept him busy throughout these years," Kindaichi wavered after taking a sip of his martini glass. A short discussion that was, it deepened your thoughts about him as Hajime's words echoed in your head.
"He's changed since he had Tetsu."
Just how much did he change since then?
Tooru was not at all drinking. His bottle of beer that Hinata ordered for him remains untouched. The liquid of the fuzzy alcohol stayed to its brim, leaving it lonely and warm when minutes pass by. You, on the other hand, only finished the drink that you started with and the tingling sensation electrified throughout your entire body.
"You're pretty cute, [Name]," Kuroo began with a hand underneath his chin, speculating your appealing face. "Do you have a boyfriend?"
The man caught you off guard as your eyes wondered at the empty glass in your hand. "Er, no."
"But isn't she Oikawa's?" Hinata protruded. His voice nearly screamed and caught Tooru's ears to perk up by the sound of his name.
Kuroo waved a hand. "Really? Then, I might have to steal her away from him." He said jokingly but there was still a glimpse of seriousness in them.
Sighing, you palmed your face to not give into the chat but a certain voice broke through before Akaashi had a chance to lecture the rooster haired man.
"You guys are being so uncool," it was Tooru who had his hands up and shoulders shrug to show how unmoved he is by his friend's tease. "Seriously, what kind of man wants to take someone's girl? Talk about lame."
"You never said she was yours," Kuroo reminded happily which made the brown headed man twitch his brow in annoyance. Then, he turned back to you again. "Now, where were we-"
"So, [Name]," Bokuto jumped in by placing himself at the vacant space between you and Kuroo only to receive a disapproving glare from him. His owl-like eyes blinked slowly at your way. "I'm assuming I'll be the one taking you home tonight due to the rudeness of my friends."
His cocky question only brought envy from the boys who had the same idea in mind. Bust most of all, Tooru's stare hardened at the back of his head. Clearly Bokuto wanted to be the first to do it and he chose to do it in front of them - almost announcing that his confidence is unmatched.
You smirked while your leaned your head against your hand. "What a bold thing to say to someone."
"What can I say? I am a bold guy," he says with a knowing shrug. You were unprovoked.
The alcohol was swimming in you as you felt your smug side consuming your ability to form sober words. Yet, they spilled out without you knowing.
"Sorry boys, but I'm going home with him," then all eyes followed where your finger traced and it was directed at Tooru who was already engaged in your conversation despite the women surrounding him. Hinata only giggled at Bokuto's jaw dropping like an egg.
"Argentina boy?" Kuroo exclaimed. His cat eyes slightly widened at Oikawa who was still struck at your assertiveness. But you can establish his lips curling into a devious smile like he won another Olympic medal in front of his peers. He took a moment locking eyes with you and then flicked his head, gesturing you to come to him.
Compelled, you did.
"Heh... No surprise there," Kindaichi muttered in amusement while Bokuto grew stone cold at your rejection, but most of all shocked that you chose Tooru despite the lack of interaction you had with him throughout the night.
"Excuse me, ladies. I got somewhere to be," the brunette walked with his eyes still glued to you, cutting whatever they were discussing to reconnect with you.
Before he can reach you, a head of orange jumped right in front of him. "Oikawa-san, I need to tell you about a time when I received a jump float-"
"Leave em be, Hinata," lectured Akaashi, yanking the small man behind his collar to give the man his privacy and gave looks to the rest of boys to follow.
You were curious when his hand ghosted at the small part of your back to guide you close to his side, secluding you to an area where it was just the two of you at a corner away from his intruding friends. With your back against the wall, suddenly, the people at this loud bar lounge disappeared around you when Tooru's chocolate eyes pierced down at you gently.
"Was that all about?" A chuckle suppressed him as he said it so mockingly. "You shocked my boy with your sneaky comment."
You laughed. "I'm sure it was the alcohol talking."
A curious hum fluttered from his lips at your answer.
"Either way, I like the way you're behaving. Show them who's boss," he hinted with a voice that is so mysterious to you.
Your skin shivered when his long hands traced at your sides, pulling the open flaps of your denim jacket to inch your form closer to him and then snaking his arms carefully around your waist. He seemed comfortable doing it but you tensed at the sudden closeness between you two. Within a second, his flirty eyes switched to worry while he brushed a strand of your hair from your dazed face.
"Are you okay though? You're not drinking a lot, are you?"
By that action, how can you be okay?
Your buzzed form wanted to say more but you restrained yourself with a simple utterance, looking elsewhere other than pay attention to his enticing stare. "No, no. I'm just dizzy."
He pouted at your state and cooed. "Poor thing. Do you need some water?" For some reason, he was attentive towards you now that you're trapped in his arms. Compare to before, he resisted himself from conversing with you. You can sense your chest tightening at his care as he patiently waited for you to make a command.
You just shyly shook your head - voice so low, it almost disappeared through the thick crowd. "I-I'm okay for now. Thanks."
"Just let me know if you need something," he smiled above you, allowing your head to press against his hard chest through the thin fabric of his button shirt. You swallowed the familiar scent of him, although your mind kept on trailing to his friends and Naomi at a distance away. Was this okay to separate him from them?
"Erm, Oikawa?"
He hummed in response.
"Shouldn't we be over there with your friends?" Then his eyes peered over his shoulder to see the group who was still lively. Occasionally your best friend and Bokuto sneaked a glance at your direction and then avert their eyes back once you caught them in the act.
Telling by the looks of his eyes hooding in a slanted way, Tooru shown no interest and blew an exasperated sigh.
"I'd rather stay here with you. Besides, they're exhausting me already," he whined while pulling you into a warm hug with his chin resting above your head, in need to be comforted by you.
You did your best not to succumb into his act, face almost burying into his chest when you questioned him further. "Are you sure? It defeats the purpose of coming here. Sounds like your friends barely see you."
He didn't want to peer back this time, now fully engulfed in your presence and noticed how your body is unable to react to his sweet movements. He wavered your persuasion by carrying your limp hands to rest at the crook of his neck to make you embrace him.
He gave a small laugh and admitted. "Oh I'm sure. I mostly came here to be with you anyways." Then his arms circled back around your waist again. "Can we stay like this? I'm sure they don't mind us having our alone time."
Tooru stared at you with begging eyes and you felt your body getting hot by the suggestion. For someone who is sober, he is so needy. Yet his words were so casual that you have no idea how you can be able to stay collected. Everything that he said and did, it was hard to dismiss and keep up. But with a slow nod, you allowed Tooru to hug you tighter - thankfully your warm face is hidden in his shirt to hear his steady heartbeat.
It was a moment of silence, nothing but the blaring music played and excited conversations of random people around you filled the air. His large hands occasionally rubbed your back in a soothing manner that you soon relaxed in his chest, maybe a little too comfortable in the situation. A buzz erupted from your pocket. Nudging yourself in Tooru's strong arms, he pulled away just a bit for you to scramble for your phone.
"Looks like you two are getting busy. Should I plan to go home with Ushijima?" it was from Naomi.
The brunette in front of you watched your facial expression stir at your text.
Your fingers tapped in a hurry with a raging face. "It's not what it looks like!"
Almost immediately, she replied back. "Mhmm. Sure... Kuroo says you two are making out at your lonely corner."
That rooster head turd...
"What's going on? Can I see?" Tooru can sense the change of expression on your profile, scanning your eyes before attempting to peek at your texts.
But you luckily shoved your phone back into your pocket before his eyes can see it. "Nothing!"
Dubious at your reaction, the corner of his mouth turned into a playful smile and you gulped. "[Name]."
"Yeah?" Tensed, you felt his head leaning towards yours - lips hovering at the lobe of your ear.
