After a few more minutes of walking, they arrived at what looked like a camp.
"Where is this?" Percy asked. Kari rolled her eyes,"Camp Thunder."
"Oh."
"This is cool," Ellie said.
"Yeah... cool," Kari muttered,"Anyway, follow me." She walked up to a large wooden gate that was connected to the large wall that surrounded the camp. She knocked on the door in what seemed like a pattern.
Percy counted two quick knocks, a pause and one more knock.
The gate opened and the group walked past. Percy turned to look at who opened the door, but was greeted by a boy of about five.
He had blonde hair, brown eyes and a scar that traveled from the upper left-hand corner of the forehead to the right side of his jaw.
"Hi," the boy said,"My name's John. You're new around here, right?"
"Yeah..." Percy muttered. Annabeth elbowed him.
"Don't tell them anything," she hissed.
"Sorry," Percy muttered as he rubbed his arm.
"She your girlfriend?" John asked.
"No," Percy said. He found himself ignoring Annabeth's warning and talking to John.
"Stop," Annabeth hissed. Percy shook his head.
Annabeth rolled her eyes,"Kill us then."
"Ignore her," Percy told John. He nodded.
"We're almost here," Kari annoounced.
They continued walking until they reached what looked like a church.
"What is this place?" Percy asked.
"The gathering center," John said. His tone said the 'duh'.
"Right," Percy mumbled.
"We need to see... Lucas," Kari said. They all nodded in acknowledgment.
"Who's Lucas?" Annabeth asked.
"Lukas is my dad," John said.
"And the man in charge," Kari added.
"Nice to know," Annabeth said.
They walked in the 'gathering center' quietly.

"Yes. I understand that you don't want to," a man was saying into a phone,"Yes... yes. I know that it's not ideal... ... I'm sorry," the man looked up,"I'm gonna have to call you back." The man took the phone from his ear, pressed a button and put his phone in his pocket.
"Hello," the man said,"I'm Lucas. You can call me Luke."
Percy noticed Annabeth stiffen. He wanted to do the same thing.
Lucas had sandy blonde hair, blue eyes, and all in all a Hermes kid look. He also had a scar that ran across his face.
"Hi, we're here to get our friend," Annabeth said slowly.
"Name?" Lucas asked pulling his phone out of his pocket.
"Thalia," Leo said. Annabeth elbowed him in the side.
"Ow!"
Ellie focused on Lucas for a moment,"I recognize you."
Lucas looked up from his phone screen,"What do you mean?"
"I remember you from somewhere," Ellie said,"... You were that kid that tried to get me to join you and help raise Kronos!"
"What? No," Lucas said quickly,"You must be mistaken. I don't know you."
"Whatever," Ellie said.
"Kari, John" Lucas ordered,"tie them up."
"What?" Annabeth asked.
Kari nodded and snapped. Out of the ground, four skeletons rose up.
"Kari," Luke scolded,"How many times have I told you not to break the floor?"
"Sorry," Kari muttered.
The skeletons somehow produced ropes. They looked at Percy, Annabeth, Leo and Ellie and one walked to each person.
"Why?" Ellie asked.
"Why what?" Lucas asked.
"Why would you tie us up, you don't know us," Ellie said.
"Because, you're not sopposed to know anything about this place," Lucas said.

Ellie nodded and the skeletons proceded to tie them up.
Kari, John and Lucas left the room after tying them to the chair.
"What do we do now?" Ellie asked.
"Annabeth?" Percy asked.
"Hmm?"
"Do you still keep your dagger on your waist?" Percy asked. Annabeth nodded.
"I'm going to move my chair and try to get your dagger," Percy explained. Annabeth nodded.
Percy moved his chair slowly across the floor toward Annabeth.
He very carefully removed her dagger and cut the ropes that bound his arms together.
Annabeth twisted her chair around so that Percy could cut her bonds.
Percy quickly untied his anckles and uncapped Riptide. He walked over and started cutting Leo's binds while Annabeth cut Ellie's.
"Where do you think they're keeping them?" Percy asked. Annabeth shrugged,"No idea. We could split up and search the rooms."
"Sure," Leo said,"Me and my prima can go together."
"Fine," Annaebeth said. Leo nodded and ran off with Ellie following close behind.
Annaebeth turned toward Percy,"So I guess we go that way." She pointed to the opposite direction that Leo and Ellie went. Percy shrugged,"Sure."
They walked out of the room and through a hallway.
"I wonder what room they would be in,"
Percy mused. Annabeth stopped and looked at a sign above one of the doors.
Above of a door in Greek it said,'aichmálotoi.' (captives)
"That was easy," Percy muttered.
"Too easy," Annabeth agreed.
They walked in the room and found Thalia and Mia tied up.
"Hi," Percy said. Thalia nodded,"A little help."
"Right," Percy walked foward and started untieing Thalia's bounds.
A few minutes later both of the girls were untied and standing. The doors to the room burst open.
"We've got company!" Leo said as he and Ellie ran into the room.
Percy took out Riptide, Annabeth took out her dagger, Mia took out her hunting knifes, Thalia took out her bow, Leo took out a hammer and Ellie stood there.
"Ellie," Annabeth said,"Don't youhave a wepon?" Ellie shook her head. Leo took out a dagger from his toolbelt,"Willthis do?"
Ellie took the dagger and nodded.
"Hey!" John yelled,"You're not sopposed to be here."
Annabeth shrugged,"Sorry."
John nodded and a whole army of half-bloods came swarming in.
Then, there was a sparkle of grey light and Athena appeared,"Hi."
The half-bloods stopped.
"You should probably let them go," Athena said. Most of the half-bloods nodded, but John walked foward,"We are under strict orders."
"Does it look like she cares?" Thalia asked. John shook his head.
"Let us pass," Athena said. John shook his head,"No."
Athena nodded and John fell to the floor.
"W-what did you do?" John asked.
"I got a friend to help me, it's an invisible net," Athena said. Then Hazel appeared next to Athena, smiling.
Athena nodded,"Thank you." Hazel nodded.
"Let's go," Athena said. Everyone nodded and followed her to the door.
She lead them safely out of the camp.
"Where are we gonna go now?" Annabeth asked.
"I'll get Artemis when we get back to Camp Half-Blood to get Thalia and Mia," Athena said.
Annabeth nodded and the group all made their way back to Camp Half-Blood is Apollo's bus.

Sweet Minds
"No one can see it, some can feel it, and only the few can use it. We belong to the few." Marith Merryfield felt anything but merry that morning. She found herself waiting for a delayed train on a deserted platform, in the freezing cold of the Dutch autumn. Just when the strangeness is making her consider turning around and going back home an empty train rolls into the station. For reasons unclear to this day she decides to get onboard. An unlikely, and quite impossible, train accident is about to hurtle her into a world she had always suspected existed. It was a dark and absurd place she had rejected and suppressed when she was young. Now she would need that dormant part of herself to survive. After a brief hospitalization she must choose between two continents and finds herself reluctantly boarding a plane to Oregon to be reunited with her shadows. She returns to the town she grew up in, which is where her father still lives and her childhood memories linger. By the end of the week the mysterious train accident turns out to be the least of her problems. Her life was never supposed to become this serious this fast. Through an improbable and unfortunate series of events she is soon introduced to a motley crew of characters that appear to be carrying the same struggles through life. They possess a familiar sense of inadequacy and insecurity. Marith realizes that for the first time in her life she has found herself a tribe, or, as they prefer to call it, a Chain. She is introduced to a world of Prophets, Runners and Mages led by an Oracle and a Watchmaker. Over the course of several weeks Marith learns that, together with her Chain, she is expected to save this fabric of reality, by fighting a mysterious and immortal creature and his aggressive pet. In order to have a chance at overcoming this force of nature she has to revisit the darkest and most desolate corners of her mind. ***** The total word count of the first 12 chapters amounts to about 85.000 words. The total word count of the first 30 chapters will amount to about 225.000 words. My chapters range, roughly, from 5.000 to 10.000 words. I post with irregular intervals, on random days and at different times. I hope you will enjoy the story! English is not my first language and I am very much open to constructive criticism. Disclaimer: I regularly use impressionistic or abstract language on purpuse, when I think it might benefit the story.
