"That was too easy," Percy muttered. Annaebeth nodded.

"How?" Leo asked.

"The last time we ran into some of those, we almost died," Percy explained. Leo nodded,"We should probably go."

Annabeth nodded in agreement and picked up her backpack.

Percy sighed longingly when Annabeth put her hair in a ponytail.

"Miss her?" Leo asked as he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

Percy slapped Leo playfully.

"Hey!" Leo exclaimed.

"You two stop," Annabeth ordered them.

"Yes ma'am," Leo said quickly.

"Scared?" Percy asked. Leo nodded.

"Come on," Annabeth snapped.

"To Los Angeles?" Leo asked. Annabeth and Percy nodded.

They all filed out of the room.

Percy walked up to the front desk.

"Hi, we're checking out," Percy said. The woman nodded,"Room number?"

"307," Percy said. The woman nodded,"Thank you." Percy nodded and walked over to Leo and Annabeth.

"We're checked out, let's go," Percy said. Annabeth grabbed Percy's hand to stop him.

He couldn't help the butterflies that seemed to flutter around in his stomach.

You don't love her anymore. She hurt you. She cheated on you, Percy scolded himself.

"Percy," Annabeth whispered,"the woman from the counter's watching us."

"Okay... do we leave?" Percy asked.

"I guess," Annabeth let go of Percy's hand and briskly walked out of the room with Percy not far behind.

"Leo, let's go," Annabeth said when they were outside.

"Why?" Leo asked.

"Probable monster inside," Annabeth said quickly. Leo nodded and the trio briskly walked to the truck they rented.

"Why does Leo get to drive?" Percy wined.

"Because... actually I'm not quite sure," Annabeth said.

"Because Bad Boy Supreme is an amazing driver," Leo said smiling as he pulled out of the parking spot almost hitting the car behind them.

"Leo!" Annabeth yelled. Leo smiled apologetically.

"Amazing, my foot," Percy muttered.

"Whatever," Leo said.

They soon ran out of gas.

"Seriously, Leo?!" Annabeth yelled.

"Sorry," Leo muttered.

"We've been on the roads for two hours! We've stopped for gas before! Why didn't you stop!?" Annabeth yelled.

"Sorry," Leo repeated.

"Whatever! Now we're stranded in the middles of nowhere and we can't use a phone! What do we do now?!"

"Annabeth, stop yelling," Percy said.

"Don't tell me what to do, Seaweed Brain!" Annabeth yelled.

They both froze.

"Sorry," Annabeth whispered.

"Whatever," Percy snapped,"We better start walking if we want to get to Los Angeles." Percy walked in front of them on the road.

"Percy!" Annabeth called running up to him.

"What?" Percy snapped.

"It'll take a little under a month to get to Los Angeles. We have to think this through!" Annabeth said.

"I don't care," Percy said,"I don't even know why you were sent on this quest. We're going to a camp of guys. It would be easier with another boy."

Annabeth frown and pursed her lips,"I will admit that it would be easier if there was another male... but I was chosen for a reason."

"Guys, please," Leo begged,"Let's not fight."

"Fine," Percy stopped and turned around,"What are we gonna do now?"

"We're gonna try to find the nearest gas station or something and... I'm not sure offer that," Annabeth said.

"Let's go," Leo said and walked ahead of them.

"I'm sorry, Percy," Annabeth said,"I shouldn't have cheated on you."

"It's fine," Percy lied. They followed Leo in silence.

"What's that?" Leo asked. Percy looked up from the ground to see a gas station.

Percy couldn't help the smile that spread on his face when Annabeth grabbed his hand and dragged him forward.

"C'mon," Annabeth begged as she pulled Percy behind her.

They walked into the gas station and Percy was met with warm air.

"Hi!" a teenager with blonde hair and brown eyes said happily. She was re-stalking the shelves.

"What can I do for y'all?" she asked with a accent that Percy couldn't reconize.

"Umm... who's your parent?" Leo asked.

"Leo," Annabeth slapped his arm.

"It's fine," she said,"My dad's Hephaestus."

"Hi, sis," Leo said.

"Son of Hephaestus or Rosa Valdez?" the girl asked.

"Hephaestus. Rosa was my aunt," Leo said. The girl nodded.

"The name's Ellie," the girl said.

"This is Leo, I'm Annabeth and this is Percy," Annabeth gestured to everyone as she introduced them.

"Nice to meecha," Ellie said. Annabeth nodded.

"How can I help y'a?" Ellie asked.

"Our truck ran out of gas," Annabeth said giving a pointed look at Leo. Leo put his hands up in surrender.

"Oh, I see," Ellie smiled,"I can drive y'all there."

"Thank you!" Leo started jumping up and down.

"Calm down and or you'll be walkin'," Ellie said. Leo stopped jumping.

"Let's go," Ellie said. They all walked out to a red, rusty truck and got in.

Ellie was driving and Leo jumped in the passenger seat.

Great.

Percy reluctantly got in behind Leo and Annabeth got in behind Ellie.

"So... Ellie," Percy started,"Why aren't you at Camp?"

"I didn't know there was one," Ellie said looking at the road,"My dad... it's complicated."

Percy nodded.

"So, why are you on a quest?" Ellie asked.

"We have to free some of Artemis's huntresses," Annabeth explained. Ellie nodded,"Can I help?"

"Yes," Leo said. Annabeth and Percy nodded slowly.

"Thanks!" Ellie exclaimed.

They drove the rest of the way in silence.

About 3 hours later they arrived at DOA Recording Studios.

They walked in and asked Charon to let them in.

"Have you finally died?" Charon asked. Percy shook his head,"Sorry." Charon sighed.

"Fine," he lead them into the elevator.

They rode silently along the River Styx with Ellie in utter amazement.

"You're here," Charon said and stopped the boat.

"Thank you," Annabeth handed Charon a few golden drachmas. They all climbed out of the boat.

"Where to now?" Leo asked. Percy nodded in agreement.

"Maybe we should ask 'You Know Who'," Ellie said. Annaebth nodded,"That is one option. He must know where the 'Camp' is."

"Why is everyone using code words?" someone asked from behind them.

They all spun around to see a girl about fifteen. She had brown hair, olive skin and black eyes.

Annabeth looked at Percy with one question in her eyes, Monster?

Percy shook his head. Annaebth looked at him clearly curious as to why he said no.

"What's your name?" Percy asked.

"Kari," the girl said,"Kari Angelo."

Percy looked ath Annaebeth. She looked shocked at something.

Percy turned to look at Kari,"I'm Percy Jackson, this is Annaebeth Chase. This is Leo and Ellie Valdez." Kari's eyes widened when Percy said his name,"F-foll-llow m-me." Percy nodded at Annabeth and the small group followed Kari.

She lead them straight through the EZ DEATH line and toward Hades' palace.

"Where are you taking us?" Leo asked.

"My father's palace," Kari said.

"And who's your father?" Annaebth asked the young girl as she lead them around the entrance to Tarterus.

"Hades," Kari said,"Though out in the mortal world it's not nessicarly safe to say, it's safe here." Annabeth, Leo and Percy nodded.

"So cool!" Ellie exclaimed,"I wonder what would happen if-"

"There is no updating the Underworld," Kari said calmly. Ellie nodded reluctantly.

"We're almost there," Kari said. She lead them down a path that was some-what peaceful.

Soon they arrived at Hades' Palace-an exact replica of Zeus' Palace on Olympus.

Kari then walked past the palace.

"Where are we going?" Annabeth asked.

"Camp Thunder," Kari said,"That's where you're wanting to go, right?"

"We're wanting to find Thalia and Mia," Percy explained.

"Right. Camp Thunder," Kari nodded her head impatiently.

"Okay," Percy agreed.

After a few more minutes of walking, they arrived at what looked like a camp.
