~Reylo AU one shot btw~
Kylo smirked at his best friend. Hux rolled his eyes and shoved Kylo out of the way. "Just ask her, Ren. What's the worst that can happen," he chuckled.
"She can say no. To Rey I'm just some angsty emo teenager."
Hux rolled his eyes and slid out of the booth. A young girl with short blonde hair walked past shooting him death glares. "Nice to see you too, Gwen," he called out. Kylo rolled his eyes and stared at the cup of coffee that was in front of him. He looked out the window to see a flurry of cars drive by, all heading somewhere. It was cold yet warm inside the small diner. Ben sighed and looked up to see Hux walked out. Ben ran his fingers through his hair and eyed the blonde waitress.
"Hey Phasma? Do you know Rey?"
Gwen set down a plate of food at a table and walked over to Kylo. "Why?"
"I was just wondering if you know... she likes me?"
Gwen smiled and broke out into a fit of laughter. "YOU LIKE REY KENOBI?" Ben's face flushed as he looked around the diner. An older couple in the booth across from them snickered. Ben was about to say something when a cheerful girl with brunette hair and a waitress uniform walked up to the two.
"You're off the hook, Gwen. Maz is giving you the rest of the day off. I'm taking your shift," Rey said smiling. Gwen smiled as she embraced Rey. "Thank you for being there."
It was at that moment when Ben remembered that Gwen's sister was trying to kill herself and the longer she was away the more likely she would do harm to herself. Ben gripped the coffee mug as the girls hugged goodbye. Rey walked off to wait on another table and Gwen left the diner. Ben watched her as she worked. Her brunette hair was shoulder length and her smile radiated as she talked with the customers. Ben smiled as he followed her movements. She was so happy...

"Excuse me?"
Ben looked up to see Rey in front of him. "Yes?" Rey shifted uncomfortably while Ben looked down at his coffee.
"Why were you staring at me-"
"I wasn't," Ben said softly.
Rey rolled her eyes. "Do you want more coffee? Black I presume?"
Ben nodded as Rey went to get a pot of coffee. When she came back Ben smiled. Rey smiled a bit as she poured the coffee into his mug. "Anything else sir?"
"Rey, you can call me by my name you know." Rey rolled her eyes and laughed.
"Okay Ben, what do you want?"
Ben took a sip of his coffee and smiled. "I would like to take you somewhere this Saturday," Ben said trying to control his fear of her saying no.
Rey opened her mouth to say something when a boy with brown hair and a dog popped into the diner screaming her name.
"REY. YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED! BB-8 CAN SHAKE HANDS!"
Ben started at the white fluffy dog. His orange studded collar made him look like an egg but Ben had to admit he was cute. Rey giggled and got down on her knees. She extended her hand and BB-8 lifted his paw. The two shook hands and Rey hugged BB-8 in delight.
"He is so talented," Rey said laughing.
Ben smiled and Rey got off the floor. Poe grinned and picked up the happy dog and slid into a booth. Rey smiled softly and turned her attention back to Ben.
"What was it that you were saying?"
Ben's face became a cherry red. "Do you wanna hang out with me on Saturday?"
Rey blushes. "I don't know-"
"If you don't say yes-"
"POE!"
"WHAT? We all know you like him," Poe said smirking.
Rey smacked her face and Ben stared blankly at the multi color wall.
"You like me?" Ben said softly.
Rey nodded her head a bit and looked the other way, her face red from embarrassment. Ben slid out of the booth and hugged Rey. She wrapped her arms around his waist and smiled.
"I'll see you Saturday."

Of Men and Dragons, Book 1
Book 1 is now available on Kindle, or in paperback/hardcover! You can buy it here! Jack crash-landed on a planet where the natives are seven-foot-tall carnivorous cat-lizards currently somewhere between stone and bronze age. The good news is the natives think the ship that crashed into their mountain is a dragon and are steering clear of it. The bad news is they just left one of their own as a sacrifice to appease the beast. No matter what Jack and his AI co-pilot decide, his life just got a lot more complicated... ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.

What do you wish for?
Norman hated his life. His peers ignored and bullied him. His mother nagged. His father was never home. Norman desperately wished for a miracle, but his prayers went unanswered. Until one night. **************************************** Note: This story is going to be very short. I would recommend reading it all at once. This story started out as a challenge I set for myself. I've recently felt bogged down because of the need to write more. That's why each chapter will be only 300 words long. Exactly 300 words long. At this point, I've pretty much written the whole thing, so I'm very confident that there will only be eight chapters.

Mysteries lay in the world of arcane in spades and Max will be the one to find them with his thirst for knowledge. But will Max find the mysteries that lay in his mind, body, and soul? This book is just for fun and to practice my writing skills. My previous book met me with frustration after sitting for hours in a day trying to get words to come out. It became something that just wasn't fun to me anymore. So here I'm going to try and just have fun writing a story I would have loved to read. If you want to read what I write then be my guest. I love to critique and hope that I can get better through writing this story but I don't know if I will be able to keep a stable upload schedule until I get into the flow of things again.
