《Escape The Night - Season 3》Episode 1, Part 3 - Let The Festivities Begin

Lauren and Alex lead the guests to the dining room. They opened the large oak doors and saw the dining table, along with Willow and Joey. The group saw Joey for the first time. He wore a dark blue, long coat with a blue waistcoat and a pristine white shirt. He also wore formal black shoes and black trousers.
There were knights wearing black suits of armour standing around the table. Willow and Joey were tied to chairs at opposite ends of the table, trying to escape. There were 3 knights standing around them, preventing them from escaping.
"Willow! Joey! Are you guys ok!" Thomas shouted.
"Been better," Joey replied.
"Really, this is the best day of my damn life," Willow replied sarcastically, "and who are those two, again?"
"I'm Lauren and this is my boyfriend Alex. You were captured by the evil in the house. I'll fill you in when you're safe," Lauren said.
- I'm really confused. First, I get captured at a party, then I find out the house is evil and I'll be filled in when I'm safe! And from Joey's expression, he knows what's happening here.
"How are you here? You died? I... I let you die, how are you..." Joey's voice trailed off.
"It's a long story. We'll tell you later," Alex said.
"Let them go! They did nothing wrong!" Lilly shouted at the knights.
"And why would I do that, girl?" said a deep voice. A figure emerged. Clearly the king of the castle, he was very tall and broad, with a twisted grin on his face.
"Because we'll stop you if you don't!" Alex shouted.
"Alexander Burris and Lauren Riihimaki. What a surprise. I thought you were dead," the king said.
"We are. We're ghosts, but we can't rest. Not yet anyway. We need to protect these guests if we want to be at peace," Lauren said.
"Well then, I shall see to it that your fail. Kill them," the king said. The knights drew their swords.
"For the love of God!" Willow said, sounding absolutely done with everything. The knights closed in on them.
This is terrible. I don't care if I die, but if they try to kill my friends when they're defenceless, that's when I get a little bit upset.

"Stop! Please! We'll play your game!" Alex pleaded.
"Desist," the king shouted. The knights put their swords back in their holders and stepped back.
"Thank you," Lauren breathed a sigh of relief.
"Release them," the king said. The knights untied Joey and Willow and they ran to join their friends.
Willow and Joey are safe. Our team mate and host are still alive. I'm so happy.
"Now there is no going back. Now, you must play this game. Go and vote on two people who will compete in my challenge. The loser, will suffer my wrath," the king laughed an evil laugh. Lauren and Alex turned to the group.
"Let's go," Alex said.
On the way back, Alex and Lauren filled Willow in on what was going on. They made it to the huge living room. There were sofas and comfy chairs around an ornate fireplace.
"So, this is a thing now," Dan said, trying to lighten the mood.
"Who do we vote in?" Lilly asked.
"I think Willow and Joey," Oli said.
"Hang on a minute, we got captured. We couldn't do anything," Willow replied.
"You should still prove that you're useful. And he invited us," Oli gestured to Joey.
"I did not invite you!" Joey said, more than a little annoyed.
This blame game will kill us all. I don't wanna vote anyone in.
I didn't think Oli would be so set on voting in Willow or Joey. They really didn't do anything wrong.
"Lets talk about this in groups maybe," Joey suggested.
"Ok," Stacy said.
The guests split into the same groups they were talking to earlier to discuss who to vote.
Thomas, Dan, Willow, Mark, Sean
"Who do we vote for?" Dan asked.
"Oli seems really set on voting me in, and I'm a bit tempted to vote for him," Willow said.
"I think maybe Yammy. She hasn't exactly done much. The rest of us are trying to keep hope but she already thinks its over," Mark said.
"Yeah, it would make sense. If she lives, she might see the light at the end of the tunnel. And if she dies, well, she was right to have no hope," Thomas said, clearly hating himself for even thinking it.

Nate, Lizzie, Phil, Joe, Tiffany
"Who do we kick out?" Tiffany asked.
"I'm thinking Oli won't be much help later, and he seems set on sending in Joey and Willow into the challenge," Lizzie replied.
"So, we vote for him?" Phil asked.
I don't want to do the challenge, and I don't want Dan to do the challenge, so I'll do anything to save both of us.
The group nodded, feeling horrible for their thoughts
Rosanna, Zoe, Sasha, Lilly, Joey
"I think we should make an alliance. I don't want any of us to die," Joey said.
I will do anything to stay alive, so I plan on forming as many alliances as I can.
"I feel bad, but maybe Mark," Zoe said uncertainly, "he could be doing more."
"I guess, if we don't know who else to vote for, Mark it is," Stacy said.
"I'm gonna vote for Oli. There is literally no reason to want you or Willow dead," Lilly gestured to Joey.
"Same here. It's either him or me I guess," Joey said.
Oli, Lauren, Callum, Yammy, Joel
"Not Lizzie," Joel said.
"Of course not," Lauren said.
"I'm honestly considering voting for myself. I don't want to feel guilty about anything," Yammy said, only partially lying.
I honestly don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Either we die or are mentally scarred forever. I don't know if I'd rather die or live with the memories.
"I want to vote for Willow or Joey. They let themselves get captured, so we should get rid of them," Oli said.
"That's just a little irrational," Callum said.
"Why?" Oli asked.
"They didn't know they would get captured. If they knew they would probably have made sure they weren't," Callum said.
"True," Lauren said.
"Time to vote," Alex said.
"This is how the voting will work. Each of you will come up see several tarot cards. Give me the card for the person you want to do the challenge. I will shuffle and draw two names and they will face death. Lilly, you will go first," Lauren said.
Lilly walked up and looked at all the cards.
"Tarot cards tell the future, right?" Lilly asked.
"Yeah, why?" Yammy asked.
"These cards are not fun," Lilly said. She gave Lauren Oli's card and sat down.
As I vote, I'm trying to remember what happened to Alex and Lauren, and I can't quite think of it, or much about them.
The guests voted and Lauren shuffled the cards.
"The first name is, Yammy," Lauren showed the card to the group. Yammy tried to hide her disappointment.
"The second person is, Mark," this was met with several gasps and shocked faces.
I feel horrible. I feel like I'm the reason this is happening. I don't have anything against Yammy, but I really hope Mark survives for the sake of my sanity.
"I'm sorry," Lauren said quietly.
"It's time to go," Alex said sympathetically, "Please, follow me."
Mark and Yammy left the group.
"Ok, now that they're gone, who the hell voted for Mark?" Sean asked.
One of my best friends has been sent in to face death and his name was never on the table. What the f*ck?!
Zoe's guilty looks gave her away. They group was shocked.
"I'm so sorry. I feel bad. I didn't think it through, I just didn't know who to vote for, and I don't know him and it just kind of, happened," Zoe seemed genuine, and the group believed her.
------
Mark and Yammy walked to the challenge. To Mark, it felt like walking to the grave. And it very well could be. But he wouldn't let himself think that. But he didn't want Yammy to die. He had talked to her when they were heading to the dining room, and he found out that she had a young son. He couldn't let her die, but he couldn't lose.
They made it to the dining room, and the king waited for them there.
"To escape with your life, you must find three keys to unlock the chest with the totem piece. The keys are hidden in the food you see before you. Choose a side, and begin," the king said.
"Good luck Yammy," Mark said.
"Good luck Mark," Yammy said. They shook hands and chose their side.
"You may begin."
