Y/n groans as she stirs in her sleep, her nose twitching at a familiar earthy smell,"Is that... Dirt?" she opens her eyes as she sits up. She jolts a bit in surprise when she finds herself sitting up inside a little cave.

Next to her is a bird singing to the lion from her last dream. Though the bird was literally cages in a... Ribcage,"Do stop Zazu, you're bringing the mood down." the lion states as he tosses a small piece of bone away.

"Oh, I'd never have to do this with Mufasa..." the bird, Zazu, whines with sorrow,"What! What did you just say!? I am the king!" the lion roars as he glares deeply into a now cowering Zazu's soul while y/n scurried onto her feet when the lion pounced right next to her.

"Hey, Boss, we gotta a bone to pick with you." one hyena says as two more follows behind the first one,"There's no food, no water! And we're starving!" a second one, the only female hyena of the group, says,"I don't care. Ohhh, eat Zazu." the lion waves them off.

"Things were better under Mufasa." the first hyena mutters spitefully,"Hmph, is that so? You're an eyesore! Get out!" the lion roars as the three hyenas scurries out of the cave,"Uhoohoohoo!" the third one laughs as the ran away.

Y/n sighs as her vision goes dark and she runs her fingers through her hair,"Oh Scar, what have you done? Why were you so desperate to become king that you'd even let your own land go starving? Seriously, what happened to the motivation you had before becoming king...?"

She rubs her palms over her eyes as she leans her head back,"Simba... Where are you?" she whispers as she frowns heavily,"Wait... Who was I talking about again?" she blinks twice as her brain makes imaginary static noises.

Next moment, y/n feels her body being gently shaken awake,"Nngh..." she groans,"Hey... Get up." Jack says softly as he stops shaking the girl once he knew she was awake,"Huh? Oh, morning Jack..." y/n yawns as she sits up before grumbling quietly to herself,"For some reason, that dream really left me irritated." she whispers.

"Huh? Why are you in our dorm?" Grim asks after he also woke up,"I came here during my morning run. Today's the magical shift tournament. I couldn't let you oversleep." Jack admits with a mildly bashful expression,"Awe, that's so nice of you, Jack. Thanks." y/n cooes and even hides her smile behind her hand when Jack's tail started wagging,[Cute~] she thought with light pink cheeks and a flowery aura.

"Ah! That's right! We gotta catch the culprit so Ramshackle Dorm can get our prize, entry to the tournament." Grim perks up, now wide awake at the realization,"Truth be told, I'm a little nervous, but..." y/n takes in a deep breath as she sits on the edge of her bed now,"Let's do this!" she grins with determination,"Hmm... See you at the stadium. Don't you dare go back to sleep." Jack scolds lightly before leaving,"See ya!" y/n waves before getting up to get ready for the day ahead of her.

Meanwhile, in the Side Street where the festival is being held...

The street is bustling with life as people chat with each other, laugh or bought food from the stalls lining up and down the street. Azul is seen walking down along side the road with a clipboard in hand.

"Hmmhmm. Attendance is high again this year. I must keep an eye on the sales for each food stall as well." he says with a pleased smile as he checks the clipboard in his hands,"As long as I'm the manager for this event you won't be able to get away with altering the books. Fufufu." he chuckles lightly as he pushes his glasses up.

"Dorm Head, preparations on the coliseum has been completed. Players will make their entrance in ten minutes." Jade informs Azul after he and Floyd approached him,"Jade, Floyd. Thank you for your hard work." Azul says with a pleased tone.

"Hey, hey, Azul. Why are the players entering from the East Building? The people trying to get in are lined up like barnacles. It's impossible to walk through." Floyd furrows his brows as he places a hand on his hip.

"It was the request from a certain person. I didn't ask for the details but..." Azul gives them an ominous smile that the twins know all too well,"Aah, now I see. That's why you were busy making a potion to increase one's magic the other day." Jade smirks in a haughty manner.

"Eeeh. What do you see? The entrance and a potion aren't connected at all." Floyd whines with a bored expression,"Shhh..." Jade puts a finger to his lips,"We can't allow anyone to hear. Lower your voice." he whispers,"Ah, are we after something bad?" Floyd smirks with eagerness now.

"However, that potion will only last for thirty seconds at most. I wonder what he plans to do." Azul says with feigned ignorance,"Azul. You already know what is about to happen, do you not?" Jade questions with a knowing smile,"Who knows. I wonder what's going to... Fufufu." Azul chuckles to himself.

"Eeeh. What's is it~? Tell me~" Floyd asks eagerly, but Azul simply turns away,"Fufu. I was thinking about getting some brand new equipment for the lounge, so it works in my favor." he says before they start to walk away,"Let's end the pointless conversation here. Time is money. Next we need to go to the drink booths." he says as he checks his clipboard.

Back with y/n...

Said girl had decided to dress in her make-shift dorm uniform that Mister Crewel had made for her, but she decided to leave the jacket out since it was a little warm today.

To say the least, she loves the outfit he made for her and made a mental note to make or do something for her professor to show her appreciation.

"Fffaaah!! Look at it all! There's so many things to eat!" Grim cheers as his eyes sparkle with glee while drooling all the while from y/n's shoulder,"Churros, fried cake, and there's smokes chicken, too!" he practically meows with delight while y/n chuckles,"Grim, you're make me hungry, Bud." she scratches behind his ears fondly.

Both of them ignoring the two sulking Heartslabyul duo behind them,"Tch~ In the end I didn't get picked..." Ace pouts as he crosses his arms,"Same..." Deuce sulks from next to him and y/n playfully rolled her eyes at them,"No worries boys, there's always next year. For now, let's cheer on our fellow classmates!" she cheers them up a bit as she pats their shoulders.

They both gave her smiles of gratitude before turning serious,"But, we've got an important job to do today. We've gotta focus on that." Deuce reminds the group,"You're right. We'll give it our all." Ace grins with clenched fists,"Alright, then let's go~!" y/n cheers as she pumps a fist into the air.

"What's that takoyaki thing? I wanna eat everything!" Grim drools, having ignored the entire conversation in favor of jumping off of y/n and stalking towards the food stalls,"Eat. It. Later! We have to go!" Ace's eyebrow twitches as he yanks Grim up by his scruff as the group walk off to put the plan into motion.

Meanwhile in Savanaclaw...

"It's almost time for players to enter the stadium." Leona notes the time as he, Ruggie and most of their dorm members stood in front of their dorm building,"We're ready to go, give the signal anytime." Ruggie gives him the A-OK sign with a mischievous grin.

"The top batter is last year's champion, Diasomnia. Hmph..." Leona allows a smirk to grace his lips,"Makes your heart race. Right?" he says with narrowed eyes,"Shishishi!! Time to get things done!" Ruggie cheers as he shakes a small bottle in his hand before he and some of the dorm members take off for the festival.

Back at the Side Street...

"Eh... Ahem." the announcer clears his throat,"Welcome to the Night Raven College Inter-Dorm Magical Shift Tournament. We apologize for the long wait. It is finally time to welcome our competitors to the field!"

The audiences cheer loudly,"First up, last year's victor! Can they make it a three-peat? The reigning flash! Dia~somnia~!!!" the announcer cheers loudly as said dorm members made their appearance to the audience, some waving or smiling at the crowd while others kept their eyes right in front of them.

The audience cheer louder while Ruggie hid behind a booth with some of the Savanaclaw members that came with him formed a human wall right behind the crowd,"Ooh. There sure are a lot of people. If we have this... Shishishi!" he snickers before pulling out the potion Azul made for them.

"First, the potion I got from Azul..." he steps out from behind the booth, popping the bottle open before tilting his head back and downing the entire content,"Pah! Blegh! What the hell, so gross! It tastes like rotten stew!" he immediately gags as he holds his throat while comically sticking his tongue out from the horrid taste.

He then slaps his cheeks,"Pew... Get my head in the game. Time to go. My unique magic!" he grins widely before pulling his magic pen out and points it at the audience,"Run like a herd of wildebeest! Laugh With Me!" he cheers as he casts his unique magic. Rumbling soon fills the air as the sound drew closer and closer to the stadium, alerting the other audience.

Male viewer A: "Hm? What's that sound...?"

Male viewer B: "W-what is that!? There's a bunch of people running down the street like a parade!?"

At this, the audience turn their attention to the stampeding crowd heading towards them.

Male viewer C: "Uuuwaahhh! My body is... Get outta the way! Move!!!"

Female viewer A: "Kyaahh!!! Don't shove me!"

Male viewer A: "Get away! You're gonna get trampled!"

It wasn't long before the cheering is replaced by screaming and howls of pain as panic and chaos fills the festival,"Waaahhh!" the entire audience scream as they all scramble to get out of the way of the stampeding.

"Ooh no?! What exactly is happening!? The audience have started running headlong down the street and dragging others into their charge!" the announcer frets,"Calm down, everyone! Please calm yourselves!" he says, despite he himself also panicking at what's happening around him while the audience continues to scream.

"Heh, heh heh..." Ruggie laughs as he continues to run with the crowd,"Azul's potions are amazing! I can't believe I can't control this many people at once!" he then pants for air,"But, it took a lot outta me... Since we've come this far...!"

He then smirks sadistically,"Can you use magic on all these innocent bystanders? Even the great Malleus, prince of the fae, couldn't use it if he wanted to, huh! Get trampled! Shishishi!" he laughs cruelly as he nears Diasomnia.

"The panicked audience is heading straight for the Diasomnia team! Get out of the way, everyone! Please get away!" the announcer pleads, but the audience doesn't stop and continues to scream louder as they finally made contact with Diasomnia.

"This is bad, we'll be crushed by the crowd at this rate! Protect Prince Malleus!" a silver haired boy commands,"This way Prince Malleus!" a green haired boy says as he leads a tall figure to safety, but they unfortunately get surrounded by the stampeding crowd.

"Prince Malleus!! Gggaahh!! We won't make it! We're going to be trampled!" the green haired panics,"Aaaahhh! Prince Malleus~!!" the silver haired screams as they disappear in the cloud of dusts kicked up by the crowd.

"I did it... We succeeded!" Ruggie breathes out as he finally stops running while the other Savanaclaw members fistbump each other or chest bump before they ran back to their dorm, unaware that they're being tailed.

"Leona, I did it! Did you watch the broadcast?" Ruggie pants as he rests his hands on his knees, an exhausted smile on his face as his ears droop,"Yeah, it was wonderful, Ruggie." Leona nods with a wide smirk before looking back up at the monitor.

"Farwell Malleus. This year I will take the throne." he declares with malicious eyes,"Heh heh, long live the king! Shishishi!" Ruggie cheers with a fist in the air,"Long live the king! Hooray!!" the entire Savanaclaw follows his lead.

"We heard everything." Riddle and the group finally made their appearance by the stairs. This alarmed the entire dorm, especially Leona and Ruggie. Leona was the first to regain his composure as he gives the group a grin.

"Well now, if it isn't Heartslabyul, all together. And one of our fresh-babies as the cherry on top. Did you transfer into Heartslabyul?" he narrows his eyes while y/n sweatdrops,[Did that cat just diss me and Grim? Oh heck to the naw!] she thought with a twitchy brow.

"Right now, I just can't stand being on your side." Jack snarls with disgust,"You damn traitor!" Leona growls with a fierce glare,"Your actions have sullied one of our traditions. As the dorm head of Heartslabyul that values 'strictness', I cannot turn a blind eye." Riddle announces with stern eyes.

"Hey you little brats. Could you save the 'hero of justice' act for your fantasies?" Leona says with a bored expression,"Intentionally coming into our territory with such a small number of people, you must be outta your minds!" Ruggie exclaims with a smirk.

"Leona, should we take them out?" Savanaclaw D asks as most members crack their knuckles,"Hmph. Go have some fun." Leona smirks as he raises a hand, but before anyone could charge at them, y/n steps up and pulls out her gun.

She may or may not have had Grim secretly steal it back from Crowley's office while he was out.

"Why the hell does she have a gun!?"

"Does the Headmaster know!?"

"She's crazy!"

"Tch, damn herbivore..." Leona glares at the girl as Ruggie's ears pin back at the sight of the weapon. Y/n smirks just as Riddle pulls out his magical pen,"OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!" he casts his unique magic and collars every dorm members.

"Grr... He's strong..."

"The dorm head class is crazy..."

"Geez, they really thought I was gonna shoot them? The gun isn't even loaded! Hehehe!" y/n laughs as she waves her gun around,"Seriously!? She pulled a fast one on us!?" Ruggie exclaims with surprise as Leona growls at y/n, who stuck her tongue out at him with a wink.

"Hmph. You're nothing worth mentioning." Riddle scoffs at the collared Savanaclaw members,"Ace, Deuce, can you continue?" he lifts up a hand as the Uno Braincell Duo step up on either side of him, magical pens in hand,"Good to go." Ace grins,"Of course!" Deuce nods with narrowed eyes.

"Tch... These guys don't stand a chance against Riddle." Leona sighs with mild frustration,"Shishishi! But even if you beat us here, you're too late to help Diasomnia!" Ruggie reminds them with a smirk.

That's when y/n felt hands land on her shoulders as a familiar face appears beside hers,"Ho hoh? What a fascinating conversation." Lilia hums with a smug smile,"Who is too late?" a green haired boy crosses his arms with a glare as he stood beside y/n,"It's true, there is not a single injury among the Diasomnia players. Thanks to all of them." a silver haired male reveals as he stood next to the male before sending a nod of gratitude y/n's way, who returns it with a small smile.

Ruggie takes a step back at this as his ears are pinned back and his eyes wide with horror,"Eh!? How!? I saw you caught up in the stampede..." his voice wavers as Lilia stood beside y/n now. That's when Cater pops his head out from behind the green haired boy,"Too bad! That was a bunch of 'me's in disguise thanks to my unique magic 'Split Card'." he chirps as he fully steps out from behind the male.

"Come again?" Leona's form goes rigid as his own ears are now pinned back at the horrifying truth,"I'd always wanted to try on the Diasomnia uniform. I guess I got pretty lucky." Cater beams,"I've got to put it on magicame." he pulls his phone out,"Cater, nows not the time." y/n scolds him softly.

"Well now. If that's the case I would have lent you my uniform any time." Lilia offers with a smile,"Hmmm, Lilia, your uniform would be a little tight on me..." Cater says with an awkward smile.

"Hey, what is this farce?" Leona glares at them,"We heard about it from Riddle. So we put on a little performance for you." Lilia says with a smirk as he leans his elbow on y/n's shoulder and lies his head on it,"Th-Then... Malleus is?" Ruggie's eyes widen with terror as realization sets in.

"Naturally, he is in good health! And he safely guided the panicked crowd to the coliseum without injury using magic. Be grateful!" the green haired boy says loudly, practically screaming in y/n's ears,"T-That kind of thing is allowed!?" Ruggie shouts with disbelief as his ears are pinned back again,"Apparently so." y/n shrugs as she puts her gun away.

"...Ah, whatever." Leona finally says as his expression shows boredom and uninterest now,"Eh!?" Ruggie gives him a perplexed expression,"It's over. Over." Leona repeats as his tail sways with irritation,"Wait, Leona? What are you saying..." Ruggie asks softly, hoping what he's hearing isn't real.

"Idiot. Malleus is going to play at top form, there's no way we can win. There's no meaning in that kind of game. I'm dropping out." Leona announces,"W-what?" Ruggie's ears droop as his eyes shook with disbelief,"Malleus stuff aside, we took out all the other star players from the other dorms. But if you're not going to play, I don't know if we can make the top three... What's going to happen to our dream?" he asks with an anxious smile.

"No matter how much the world watches, we're just some students playing around. Going along with your daydreaming was something that amused me." Leona admits with an icy tone,"Why...? Weren't we going to flip the word on its head!?" Ruggie asks with desperation.

"Your nagging is annoying... Let me give you a dose of reality." Leona raises his voice as he turns to Ruggie with an icy glare,"You're just a worthless hyena from the slums and I'm the loathed second prince who will never be king! No matter what, that will never be overturned!" he growls fiercely.

Y/n hums at this as she know what Leona is feeling now,[So, he feels like he's always in second place, huh? I know that feeling, and it feels damn right shitty.] she thought as more unwanted memories pop up in her head.

*Hey, did you hear? Y/n's sister got first place in the science fair.*

Said hyena looked genuinely hurt by Leona's words,"Don't... Don't screw with me! What the hell is that!? Giving up after we've come this far..." he shouts with anger,"Don't do that to us, Leona!" Savanaclaw D steps up,"We're gonna make you play even if you fight!" Savanaclaw E declares.
