It was 11 pm, one hour till Dangerous Woman came out and Harry saw how Ariana got more nervous. He had went up to her a couple of times to calm her down a bit.
Harry went to the kitchen and he saw that Aaron followed him.
"Hey Harry so, you've been hanging out with Ariana for the last 5 months or so."
"Yeah.." Harry nodded, not knowing where the question was going.
"So what are you guys?" Aaron grabbed some of potato chips out of the bag.
"What do you mean?" Harry asked while filling his cup once again with a strong drink before taking a sip.
"Well, are you guys friends, or dating... or friends with benefits?"
Harry almost spat out his drink hearing what Aaron said.
"Fri.. friends with benefits?? Are you good?" Aaron laughed.
"I saw the way you look at her. You've been looking at her the whole night in a certain way. It honestly looks like your so in love with her."
Harry felt how he turned red and looked away but Aaron saw it anyways. "O my god so you are in love!" He said, way too loud.
Harry shook his head. "No no, I'm not, I just love her as my friend, or even best friend."
"Uhu." Aaron said, completely in disbelief.
"Guys!! We only have half an hour left! Come in the living room!!" Ariana shouted. They both walked back and they all sat down on the couch, counting down to 12.
When there was only 1 minute left, Harry grabbed Ariana's hand and helt it tightly. Ariana looked up and smiled. Harry felt something inside he hadn't felt in some time. But there was no time to think about it because they were counting down the last seconds.

"Ten...nine....eight....seven....six....five....four...three....two....one.. Yeees!!" They were all shouting and hugging Ariana.
Harry waited a bit so Ariana had hugged everyone else and then he went up to her to congratulate her.
"Congratulations Ari! I'm so so proud of you!" He said and hugged her. Ariana helt him so close and Harry wished he could hug her forever. Then he wanted to kiss her on the cheek, friendly of course.
But Ariana moved her head and before Harry knew it his lips were touching hers. He immediately pulled back, in a reflex. They looked at each other.
Then Ariana smiled. And Harry smiled back at her. Ariana stoot on the tip of her toes and kissed him. No tongue, just a kiss. Then they hugged again.
Harry then quickly turned around to see if anyone had noticed but the only one who was looking and smiling was Aaron.

Soon everyone fell asleep except for Ariana and Harry. Harry sat next to the girl while she was scrolling through Twitter and instagram to look at all the reactions.
"I am so tired but I don't wanna sleep." Harry felt how Ariana laid her head on his shoulder and soon he heard her sleeping.
Harry smiled and looked at the girl. She was so beautiful. While he was staring at her Harry realised something.
He was in love with Ariana Grande.

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
