《The Beginning of the Age of Heroes》Chapter 23

The next night the team was staking out the docks so that they were ready for when the Triad arrived and then they would take them down for good, as well as destroy the Alpha/Omega virus. It didn't take long for cars to arrive and the team to start to converge on the sale.
"Ok, we all know what we have to do. Let's get this done so that we can start looking into these other rogues that we need to stop." Arrow said and the team nodded.
The team descended down on the meeting from some of the shipping containers that were around. The Triad didn't even notice them before it was too late. The team started to take down anyone they were able to reach. The fight was pretty easy until Arrow came up against China White.
"I have to say, this is more of a challenge than I thought it would be." Arrow said.
"I was trained by the best of the best. Not even your training can stop me." China White said.
"Want to bet." Arrow said as he launched a full out attack on China White, which she was not expecting, which made it easier for Arrow to take her down to the ground. Arrow stood up and that allowed China White to get to her knees.
"Any last words?" Arrow asked as he took his sword out of his quiver.
"Nothing for you. I have to keep my dignity somehow." China White said and that was enough for Arrow. He pointed the sword towards China White and penetrated her chest and went through her heart, killing her instantly.
Arrow then turned around to see how the rest of the team was doing and he wasn't surprised that all of them were standing there watching his fight with China White. He saw that Black Canary was holding two cases which most likely held the separated Alpha and Omega.

"What do you want to do with these, Arrow?" Black Canary asked.
"Burn it. We can't afford that stuff getting out in the world." Arrow said and Black Canary nodded as they set a fire and burned all of the substance.
"So, what do we do now?" Artemis asked.
"We need to find the safehouse for the Triad in this city. From what I have heard, their leader is in town. If we take him out, The Triad will be dealt a major blow. It will take them years to get back to where they are now, if they ever can." Arrow said and the other nodded as they went searching for the rest of the Triad in Starling city.
. . .
The team had split up so that they could find the Triad quickly. It was the Flash who was the first to find their safehouse.
"Guys, I think I have found them." the Flash said.
"Ok, give us your location. We will be there soon." Arrow said as they all converged on the safe house where the Triad were staying.
Once everyone was there it was time for them to move in. They used their stealth training to sneak up on the guards who were outside and took them out. As they entered the house, they were surprised to see that there were not a lot of guards there. The Triad must have sent everyone to the sale.
They snuck up on all of the guards and took them out easily. "Supergirl. Take a look around and see how many people are still here." Arrow said.
"On it." Supergirl said as she used her xray vision to look around the house.
"Looks like there are five of them upstairs. All of them are armed, but that won't matter if you let me lead the way. After they have emptied their clips then you guys can do your thing." Supergirl said and the others nodded.

Once the team was upstairs, everything went the way that Supergirl thought it would and once the men emptied their clips it was time to go on attack. It didn't take long to get to the room that housed the leader of the Triad. Supergirl opened the door and as expected the man opened fire on her. Once his clip was emptied, she flew towards the man and snapped his neck.
"Well, that was easy enough." Supergirl said.
"Burn this house down Supergirl. We need to make sure that all of the information on these computers and anything else that they use are destroyed. After that, the Triad will have to limp around for years. If nothing else, they will never be able to come back to Starling." Arrow said and Supergirl nodded as she started to use her heat vision to catch the house on fire as the others exited the house.
. . .
The team was now back at their hotel and in Arrow and Black Canary's room discussing what they knew about ARGUS and this General that they needed to take out.
"So, I think it will be easier to go after this Waller woman first. We will have an easier time getting to her since she lives alone." Arrow said.
"I agree, though, why don't we go after them both at the same time. All that is needed to take out Waller is one person. The rest of us can just go to the army base and take the General out and anyone who is protecting him." the Flash said.
"That is a good idea Flash. I think we should go with that plan. So, who wants to go after Waller?" Arrow asked.
"I will do it." Athena said.
"Ok, so the rest of us will go to the army base tomorrow night and take out this rogue General." Arrow said and the team nodded in agreement with the plan.
"Looks like we might be heading back to Nanda Parbat sooner than we thought." Black Canary said.
"Yeah, but we only have about two more years until we are able to come home and make sure that everything is safe here." White Canary said.
"Yeah, maybe we can check on our family and friends tomorrow." Artemis said.
"We will have time for that before we go and finish our mission tomorrow night. For now, we just need to relax and get our minds and bodies right for the mission tomorrow night." Arrow said as they all nodded and went to their separate rooms to get some rest.

But the angry ghost trapped inside the blade has other ideas. Buckle up for the brutal LitRPG ride of a lifetime Savage Hunters is an alternate-world neolothic fantasy. Characters grow their powers with explicit stat blocks presented right in the text, including levels, attribute scores, and unlockable skill trees. Experience is accumulated by battling enormous monsters the size of buildings. Political intrigue and romance elements ramp up as the series progresses. I originally wrote this story after playing Monster Hunter with my niece. She was 12 at the time, already an avid reader, and wanted to read my other published books. I'm a licensed psychotherapist specializing in severe trauma so I tend toward darker fiction. I told her my usual books are too brutal for her but I'd write her something special. The result was this series, which has been praised by both teens and adults for its depth and universal appeal. It begins with an emphasis on cultural elements because I consulted with a trained anthropologist to craft this neolithic setting down to exacting social detail. After these opening chapters, it rapidly shifts to an action-packed adventure. The first 3 books are fully written as of November 2020, totalling approximately 69 chapters. The first book has been professionally edited already. The following two books require some editing which I'll do on a chapter-by-chapter basis as releases progress. I welcome reviews and comments. Writing is a passion, and reader engagement makes my labor all the sweeter.
