The next morning Oliver was the first to wake up and when he looked around, he saw a man standing there with what looked to be some weird kind of costume. Oliver looked at the man for a second and started laughing.

"Who are you and what the hell are you wearing. I will tell you one thing. You have no style." Oliver said while still laughing.

This caused the rest of the people in the cave to wake up as well. "What is it Halloween or something?" Thea asked as she laughed as well.

"My name is Mar Novu. I am also known as the Monitor. I watch over the multiverse and make sure that the heroes of the multiverse are ready for what is coming." Novu said.

"What does that have to do with us? We are just normal kids who got trapped on an island after their boat went down." Barry said.

"Oh, I seriously doubt that." Novu said as he looked at Kara now.

"Why is he looking at you like that Kara?" Laurel asked.

"I don't know." Kara said nervously.

"Ok, now I will let you know why I am really here. The six of you are some of the best heroes in the multiverse in the future. I will give you some of what you need to become those heroes." Novu said.

"I can see Laurel, Kara, and maybe Barry being heroes of some sort, but Sara, Thea, and me. I can't see us being heroes. We are more worried about money or partying." Oliver said.

"I have to agree with Oliver there. I am not a hero. I am a partier and I have a good time." Sara said.

"Yeah, I really like my money." Thea said.

"I can understand why you would be skeptical. At this point in your lives, you are not hero material. That is what being trapped on this island will do for you. It will make it, so you are less likely to need money or partying. The trials you will face will make you mature." Novu said.

"I just can't see myself being a hero. It is not who I am." Oliver said.

"You are one of the best of them Oliver, and so are the rest of you. You just need to believe it." Novu said.

"Ok, so say we believe you. What happens now?" Laurel asked.

"I will give you the powers that you will need to do your jobs as heroes." Novu said.

"Ok, so who goes first?" Oliver asked.

"You do Oliver Queen, since you are the leader of the team." Novu said.

"Me, the leader? I don't think so." Oliver said.

"In the future many heroes follow your lead. You learn all of that while you are here on this island and other places that you will be in the future." Novu said.

"Ok, so what do I need to do?" Oliver asked.

"Right now, nothing. What I am going to do for you is give you what are known as Specter powers. I am only going to give you partial power right now. You will get more powers as you get used to what you have now. The reason that you will not get all of the powers now is because that will make you lazy, and I need you to learn how to be one of the best fighters in the world. Therefore, you will not get your full powers until you learn to fight, and at that point you will not want to take the easy way out, so you won't even use the powers then unless you absolutely have to." Novu said.

"I can work with that. Who's next" Oliver asked.

"Barry Allen, you will become a speedster. You will be able to do amazing things with your powers. You will also need to learn how to fight so use your powers as little as possible until you get home." Novu said and Barry nodded in understanding.

"Laurel Lance, you will get what will be known in the future as a Canary Cry. It is a sonic scream that will come out when you scream, and a side effect of this power is that you will also have echolocation which will allow you to hear things from far away. You will also get partial Specter powers for two reasons. In two years, all of you will be taken off of this island by a group known as the League of Assassins. They are a group that is very old fashioned, meaning that women are used to service men. The first reason you will get these powers is to help you protect yourself from these people. The second reason is that a woman can not a child with a man that has Specter powers unless she has them herself." Novu said.

"Ok, I understand all of this. I guess that means that Ollie and I are really meant to be." Laurel said.

"That you are. Sara Lance, you will get the Canary Cry and Echolocation that your sister has but you will also have the ability to control anyone outside of this cave with your mind." Novu said.

"So, I will have mind control?" Sara asked.

"That is correct. You and your sister will be known as the White and the Black Canary respectively." Novu said.

"Those are cool names, and I always thought I looked good in white." Sara said.

"Thea Queen, you will have the same powers as your brother and like him you will also get your powers as you learn how to use them. You and your brother will become two of the best archers and fighters in the world. You will be known as Artemis. Oliver will be Green Arrow. Barry Allen will be the Flash. Laurel and Sara will also be known as great fighters once all is said in done.

"What about Kara?" Sara asked.

"Oh yes, Kara Zor-El will be very important to your team as well, but I don't have to give her any powers." Novu said.

"Why is that? I mean Kara is just as normal as the rest of us, and why did you call her Kara Zor-El. She is Kara Queen. I know she is adopted but still." Barry said.

"Kara do you want to tell them or should I?" Novu asked.

"I will. My birthname is Kara Zor-El and I am from Krypton. I am cousin to Kal-El or Superman as you all know him. I am actually his older cousin, but my ship got caught in the Phantom Zone where I didn't age and when I got here Kal was grown up. I was sent here to raise him but that didn't happen the way it was supposed to. Kal knew the Queen and trusted them so he left me with them so I could live a normal life." Kara said.

"Were you ever going to tell me?" Barry asked.

"Yes. We haven't been together for long. I was going to tell you when I knew that we were going to make it. I didn't think it would be necessary if we didn't make it, but if we made it, I was going to tell you. Please trust me on this." Kara said.

"It will take some time to get used to this. I thought we were always honest with each other, then I find out about this. I trust you I just need some time to get my head around all of this is all." Barry said.

"Ok, if you need some time, I will give it to you." Kara said.

"I am not going to break up with you over this Kara, I just need to time need to make sure that you are always honest with me from now on. If you are not, that might change things. I trust you and I love you, but I don't want any more secrets between us." Barry said and Kara nodded accepting this from her boyfriend.

"Ok, so here is what you need to know. Soon you will meet people that will start you on the path to being good fighters. You will learn from them and then at the end of year two you will be taken in by the League and you will all become excellent fighters. Do not reveal your powers to anyone. The more they know the more they will use you. Once you get back to Starling is when you can use your powers as you see fit. You may use your powers to protect yourselves from the League and anybody on this island but use the ones you can keep secret. Oliver and Thea Queen can use their powers the way they want to because no one will know it is them. Barry Allen and Kara Zor-El will use their speed and will not be able to be seen. Laurel Lance can use her partial Specter powers to help her, and Sara Lance can use her mind control. Do not use the Canary Cries unless you are alone and training with it." Novu said.

"Ok, so what you are saying is that we don't want anyone to know that we are different from them." Kara said.

"Exactly. So are there anymore questions for me?" Novu asked.

"Nothing right now. Is there a way to get in touch with you?" Laurel asked.

"No, once I am gone, I will not see you again until it is time to prepare for the fight that is to come." Novu said.

"Ok, well I think we know everything that we need to for right now. Is it ok for us to train with our powers right now?" Oliver asked.

"Yes, you can do that now, but soon you will meet up with the people who will train you to fight, so train with your powers while you can." Novu said.

"Ok, thanks for all of this and I hope we don't see you again for a very long time." Barry said.

"You and me both Mr. Allen. Good luck and goodbye for now." Novu said as he disappeared and left the team to train with their new powers while they still could.
