I run into Derek's loft to see a new hunter as he hangs on a string. He knows where the of my life is.
"Chris Snow!" Derek yells and pulls out a Polaroid photo of Chris. "" Derek growls lowly as his fists bleed from beating the hunter up.
"The lab." The hunter says and spits out blood from his mouth. "I'd tell you exactly where but it's a suicide to go there. Nobody survives." The hunter says as he laughs. "Oh and the director, oh boy does he have plans for those metas." He says and I walk closer to him.
"Why did you take a regular person then with you?" I ask him and he looks over at me.
"They're all metas kid. Nobody is normal in that lab. The scientist in there are all whack in the head. I'm just being paid to bring these freaks in." The hunter says and I look away in disappointment. I find Lydia standing in the dark nervous, she's been acting weird lately, she's hiding something as always.
"Lydia." I say breaking her thoughts and I look over at her as she shakes as if she were cold. What's going on with her? "You cold?"
"." She shivers her voice also and then I hear the hunter cackling.
"Tell us where the kid is and we'll set you free." Derek starts making a deal and I raise a brow. If Derek let's this hunter free and tells us the information he'll notify the lab on us.
"Fine." The hunter says giving up. The hunter tells Derek the coordinates and then Derek unties the hunter. The hunter starts walking towards the door.
"You're letting him go?!" Scott yells in anger and Derek grabs my bat.
"You forgot something!" Derek tells the hunter as he creeps up on him. Derek quickly swings the bat at the hunter's face and the hunter falls to the ground.
"." Derek says as Lydia gulps loudly.

In a RPG-like environment, James and the others from his world must grow and adapt fast or fall before the hordes of monsters infesting their new home. What path to power will James take, in a world of infinite possibilities? Who will he become? What has become of Earth and it's other inhabitants - His family? Follow James in his journey to discover these things himself, as he has no clue either. After all, he has just been Taken from his world, and is expected to adapt and thrive in a whole new place. I will note that, as pretty much all LitRPG novels have, that, to a certain extent, I have taken inspiration from other works I have read. This, however, is an original fiction. I hope any and all of you who read this fiction enjoy reading it just as much as I enjoy writing it, and please feel free to comment - I recognice that this will need work and will have things like typos - please feel free to point out any obvious things I forget about or miss out, as well as any typos. Also, feel free to lob suggestions my way if you have any - while I may not use them, they could very well inspire me in some way or another and help me improve this fiction, even if just by a little bit.

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
