"Look I don't know!" I tell Claire as I laugh out loud. "I love Stiles but being with him can be so-" I pause as I eat a French fry as I've been starving all day but whatever I eat doesn't seem to be making me full.
"Hard?" Claire asks me and I nod slowly. I can't blame him though, he's a hero to the city. "He's always disappearing on you and you shouldn't have a man like that. It's toxic." She says but she doesn't know what we truly do. She doesn't know how I really feel when Stiles looks at me when I help him out.
"It's not toxic. It's love." I say dipping a French fry into a tiny box of BBQ sauce thinking about my current problem. I swirl the French fry around and suddenly the waiter picks up the check. "Thanks." I tell the waiter and I look around to spot a man in all black sitting with 2 guys in a booth across from me and Claire. I start to think it is suspicious but then my phone buzzes.
: WHERE ARE YOU? GET OUT OF WHEREVER YOU ARE WITH CLAIRE!!!
I raise an eyebrow and look at Claire. "Lets go." I say grabbing Claire's hand and standing up from the booth. I walk away with Claire being suspicious and the older guys get up following us outside.
I quickly run into an alley to distract the guys and as I do we get cut off by another group of men dressed in the same black outfit. "Where do you think you're going Meta?" The man says sounding like a douche and Claire holds her fist tightly.
"There's no running away from this." Another one speaks and suddenly Claire raises her hand and blows a small fire out of her as it blasts a guy's shoulder. Lydia is right, everyone has secrets. I quickly run to another guard and grab his wrist and suddenly I freeze his wrist.

The guy groans loudly and suddenly I feel dark and less hungry as I must be absorbing his energy. His . "Please stop!" He yells at me but I urge for more to feed me.
"Sorry, I'm just-" I say until I hear a hunter shoot his gun at me. A dart flies to my shoulder and I let go of the guy. I turn around to look at the hunter and grin evilly. I grab the dart out of my shoulder and suddenly fall to the ground paralyzed.
"Take him." A guy yells as I start to pass out on the floor.

"We're too late." Scott gasps as I pull into the parking to see Claire's body being carried out into a white van.
Chris.
"Oh no." Scott gasps as I watch Chris being carried out by a man. His black hair has streaks of white and I start being confused.
"Why are they taking him?" I ask going to open my door but Scott grabs me pushing me down to protect me. "We have to follow them." I beg Scott to save Chris. Scott shakes his head and i raise my eyebrows as the van drives off. "I'm not leaving him!"
"We can't do anything! We don't know what we're up against Stiles..." Scott tells me calming me down. He's right. "I'm sorry. But we Chris will have to wait." Not again, I can't let him suffer to whatever they're going to do with him.

It Started with Slime
Before we jump in, let me say that the MC starts stupid, so the language and writing style is straightforward to reflect this. The writing improves with the MC and as the chapters progress (I hope). It is also a gradual growth story, so no zero to hero in ten seconds... with that out of the way: An alchemical experiment has gone wrong and results in a Slime Monster. It doesn't have a name at first and is something that it will need to work out! This story follows a Slime that starts as a Micro Slime with some level of consciousness, and there is more to it than meets the eye. Survival is the name of the game. To improve, it works hard to grow, evolve and become more powerful to survive its harsh new reality. There is a lot more going, and only time will tell if this Slime (all its various versions) can become strong enough to make it through the strife to the other side. It's a harsh world, after all. It Started with Slime is a story with a Monster Protagonist Evolution story. There will be no profanity and no sexual content, and there will be some violence and fighting descriptions. I am a native English speaker, and so the English here should be to a good standard. That said, even though editing, there may be some corrections and typos, so if you see some, let me know! If it bothers you a lot, I am working to make sure all chapters have no typos, but of course, some might slip through. I will endeavour to correct any picked up, though! Also, I started this a few months ago and so any feedback is always appreciated, also reviews and ratings! If you like or don't like the story, let me know in the detailed reviews! That always helps me see what is good and what needs improving. Working on releasing chapters twice a week, I will try to increase that as time goes, but at the moment, that is what I can release. Patreon has more. If the story gets more popular, then I will increase the releases. I am aiming ultimately for a chapter a day if I can get to that.
