Erica's POV

"Today we have a very special guest with us today, the lead actor of the new spin off show of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata, husband and soon-to-be father, Shaheer Sheikh!" The woman interviewing Shaheer today said as he walked out across the stage. I was watching from the side of the stage.

"Thank you for having me here" He said as he sat down in the chair across from the interviewer.

"Before we start I just want to congratulate you and Erica on the pregnancy. You must both be so incredibly excited" She said with a smile

"We are, Erica and I can't wait to see our little baby"

"So what do you think could be the gender of the baby?" the interviewever asked and my heart began to race. We had talked about a lot about this topic. Both of us were so excited about the baby's gender. But i dont think Shaheer would tell these talks to everyone as he likes keeping things very private. As I glance out at the stage mine and his eyes meet.

"I, uh...." he began to stutter. Even though I wanted to him not to be so open but I also wanted his interview to go well and decided to let him tell. I caught his eyes and with a smile gave him a quick nod and he smiled back at me.

"Well, I want a little girl while eri wants a little guy! Let's see who's team gets complete first. " He said enthusiastically clasping his hands together as the audience began to clap.

"What will you do if its a baby?" the interviewer asked teasing him. With Shah's expressions I guess everyone knows how badly Shaheer wants a girl.

"I would be extremely happy. He would be a little part of me though!" he said cheeringly and then further added "But I definitely want a baby girl....so if not a girl we will plan for another baby!" with that comment I blushed profusely as the crowd cheered and hooted.

"Well I guess the world should get used to the idea of another sheikh baby running around" The interviewer said jokingly and everyone began to laugh.

"Well shaheer..... How many kids are you planning to have?" the interviewer once again teased him.

"A complete cricket team actually!" he joked. I hope that was a joke though. Gosh this man!

"Have you and eri been preparing for the baby?"

"Yes, we have been doing a lot to get ready but its mostly Eri. She is the one doing all the work carrying our baby and has been decorating the nursery a lot." Shaheer said as his face lit up.

"Well thats great to hear!" the interviewer said happily. "So Shaheer congratulations to you for the new show and the pregnancy! Wish you all the best!" she said looking into the camera smiling.
