《The Sharica Baby》First Kick

Erica's POV
I was sleeping soundly at this hour of the morning. After so many days of tiring mornings because of sickness, I finally got to sleep till 8 in the morning! I rolled over, expecting to find Shaheer on his side of the bed, only to feel nothing. He must have gone to the shooting. I ringed him immediately. I hated starting the day without him.
"Good Morning, love!" his voice echoed through the phone as he picked up after three rings.
"Shah! You should have woken me up when you left for the shoot!" I said making my discontent very sure in the tone.
"You were sleeping so peacefully this morning. I didn't wanted to wake you up. You seldom get to sleep these days." he said.
"But you know how much I love seeing you first every morning." I said miserably missing him. My voice still screamed sleepiness because of my rasp voice.
"Are you still sleepy Eri?"
"Yaa!" I said sleepily, trying hard not to yawn while speaking.
"Then sleep and take rest. I'll be back by afternoon and we'll spend time together." he said.
"Okay. Bye love!" I said, hanging up the phone and throwing it over the other side of the bed carelessly, and went back to endeavor my much needed sleep.
I don't know after how many hours, I woke up because of a tingling pain in my stomach. Throughout my sleep I felt those tingles in my sleep. But I couldn't point out what exactly it was. Could it be something worse. I got out of the bed as I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep anymore. I freshened up quickly and jumped right into the bathtub. As I was relaxing in the warm waters, I felt that twitch again. Something felt different about these. I knew these weren't the bad pains. It happened again and it suddenly clicked me what it was.

This was it. I just felt the baby move.I caressed my stomach and tried feeling the baby move again. Two minutes later i felt the spasm under my palms. That feeling was everything. There is no better feeling than the movement of life inside of you. I grab hold of my phone and started recording the light movements one could see on the stomach. I opened Shaheer's chat and immediately sent the video.
Ohh Great! chilling out huh!
Look carefully dear!
Wait what! Is that a kick?
Yes it is Shah! It feels so surreal!
Oh my god! The baby kicked! Damnit I missed the baby's first kick!
I know right! I so want you here now with me!
Don't worry love! I am coming right away!
By the way if you are coming home anyway, bring some ice cream!
Okay... No biggie darling! Always been on my heels for your cravings!
Love ya! Come fast!
I threw the phone over the sink and freshened up quick. I got into the most comfiest outfit that was definitely Shaheer's shirt and short. His oversized shirt hung on my body, perfectly fitting my baby bump. I sat to watch the telly with my breakfast. That's what I had been doing all these days, watching the television literally all the time. Also I would I expect getting my ass off the couch when Shah never lets me any work.
I was catching up on 'Kasauti Zindagi Ki' on the television, when I heard the jingle of keys in the entrance and then a creaking sound that cracked open the door.
"Hey baby! Watcha doin?" he said in the happiest mood he was ever in. He threw the car keys in the bowl over the cabinet which had all the other keys. He was in a swift motion to cozy up to me in the sofa beside me as he placed the bag full of ice cream

"Waiting for you!" I said pulling his face towards mine and kissing him deeply. His lips were perfectly synced with mine. It was one of the few very passionate moments we've had over some of these hard times of the pregnancy. I kissed deeper and was totally in the flow when I stopped as I felt the baby kick again. I tensed up under Shah which made him to stop.
"Sorry! Did I hurt you?" he said, his eyes replacing the passion with concern and creases forming on his forehead. I said nothing and just simply placed his hand over my belly.
"What happened?" He asked questionably as he felt nothing. Sure the baby refused to kick when I so desperately wanted to tell the father how it felt. I frowned because nothing happened. As he was retracting his hands back, the baby kicked again. That's when he felt it. His eyes sparkled out of joy and excitement as he realised what it was. I nodded at him confirming that this was it.
"Oh my God Baby! You just moved. You little pumpkin, you're growing up so fast!" he talked to the baby with happy tears streaming down his cheeks and placing a kiss over my belly. "I love you two so much Eri!" he levelled up to my face and kissed me again. What a happy moment it was.
"it's getting late. Let's go and sleep. You must be tired." he said reminding me of the late hour. Shah had been so particular about my sleep these days and ensures that I get to the bed on time.
"Not now! Can I first have my ice cream first." I whined making puppy eyes. I laughed on my childish tactics and let me have the ice cream before bed.
