《The Sharica Baby》First Ultrasound
Advertisement
The clock rang at the nightstand, it was our first ever ultrasound today. I opened my eyes quickly when the bed moved. Shaheer had almost jumped out of the bed. He had been talking about this day a lot lately. "Good Morning babe. We are seeing our baby today. I can't believe it." he almost shouted out of excitement. I smiled wide as well, even if I were tired from all the morning sickness.
We sat in the car by now, we really couldn't wait to see our baby. "how big do you think it is now?" he asked me. "I really don't know, but I'm excited to finally see it." I answered back to him. "I really can't believe that we'll have a baby with us soon." he said softly.
I sat down in the big waiting room at the hospital. I sat down, while shaheer went to the front desk to check on the appointment. Once he came back, we went to the cabin, we were greeted by the doctor. I got a female doctor that I saw really hoping I would get. I think I'll be more comfortable with a woman than a man. She seemed really nice too. "so it's time to see the baby, are you ready?" both of us nodded quickly and gave her a yes full of excitement.
Shaheer sat beside the bench I laid on. "I'll put this feel on your stomach. It will get pretty cold now." she said. She was right with the coldness. Though the coldness faded away when we heard a rhythmic sound. We couldn't catch what it was at first. "guys, this is your baby's heartbeat. It's completely normal." she said. Shaheer stroked my cheek while our eyes began to water. "oh my god!" I said under my breath.

We looked closely at the monitor and the image of the baby popped up. Our own baby. "your baby is beautiful." said the doctor as she was printing out the picture. After handing us the picture and telling us or next appointment she left. I stood up with the help of shaheer. We stood there and studied the picture for a moment. "I am already in love with this baby. I love you so much Eri!" he said bringing me in for a hug. He scooted out of the cabin with my hands in his. His excitement level rose even more and wanted to show everyone our baby's first picture.

AS LONG AS IT'S INTERESTING, ISN'T IT FINE TO LIVE AS A DUNGEON? (Hiatus)
[This story is now in Hiatus and I dont know if I'll come back to work on it again.] The story of a girl with a flare for creating a show that’s willing to let a lot of things slide so long as it’s interesting. She is summoned as the core of a newly birthed dungeon. With the power to create and destroy, what poor thing will her curiosity draw her to next? What interesting things will she show us? Note: This is just something I'm doing in between doing things. Please expect shoddy quality, a poor updating schedule, and significant rewrites. Thanks.

I'm fully aware of who I am.. aware-that I am the person who I thought I was. Being in a place- I know nothing at all. There were a lot of things I wasn't able to understand from here, but despite all of that- everything seemed natural and strangely familiar to me. As if someone inside influencing me...but who is he?

Dalton was always a nice place. Always had been. When that new couple moved here, we were all ecstatic. They were wealthy, but not arrogant, always willing to help out their neighbors. All around the perfect kind of migrant. They brought a child with them. Jacob. He was beautiful, just like his parents. He had his mother's beautiful hair, and his father's beautiful eyes. But he was different. He wasn't social, or nice, like his parents. He mainly kept to himself. Until one day he didn't. Strange tales, of the boy running around the neighborhood at night started to pop up. Of sacrificing children and dark rituals. The average person dismissed it as just that, rumors. But those of us that had seen the boy, knew the truth. His eyes were no longer the deep, vibrant color of his father. They were the green of rot, his skin the color of a corpse. The devil had taken the boy, and, like a disease, he was spreading his curse.

When a heart of flesh is not enough. My ancestors passed down a heart disease to my grandfather, who in turn passed it down to my father and to me. It's not really a disease that makes one sick, we just live shorter. This disease should, theoretically, die out since it shortens our lifespan. How it is alive to this day is beyond me. If I was a normal girl, I wouldn't care much for my faulty heart. I wouldn't even know I had one in the first place. But I am not a normal little girl, no. I do not aim for the simple or the easy life. I want to tread where no one has been before, and discover what the ebb of time has mercilessly washed into the darkest corners of our civilization. This is my adventure.
