《Teen Titans Season Six Episodes》Teen Titans Season Six Episode 8: "Blackmail Pt. I"

Robin scoured over the recent video tapes and sound recordings of the team’s recent conversation with Ravager, Slade’s son. He studied all the places that the former minions of Slade attacked, the significance of them, the possibility of his lair through their conversation, transmission signals and recent crime maps. But no matter what theories Robin came up with, they all led him to a blank dead end. Robin rubbed his eyes under his mask, fatigue was starting to devour him. He took a sip of his cool coffee and continued his research as the sun began to rise in Jump City. Robin did not even notice.
“No good, no good, no good…” He kept muttering to himself as his theories were proven incorrect. His voice began to trail off and become slightly raspy. Robin was so engrossed in finding the whereabouts of Ravager that he did not even hear when Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven entered the common room. Cyborg sighed and Beast Boy walked over to Robin, putting his hand on Robin’s shoulder.
“Dude, we don’t even have to ask. You have been at this all night, we all know. Robin, whenever you have to deal with anything Slade related, and apparently his son counts, you go a little obsessive crazy. It is kind of a problem that needs to be uhh… addressed.” Beast Boy told him.
“I prefer the term dedicated.” Robin said cooly, shrugging off Beast Boy hand.
“Seriously Robin, if you keep this up, it will affect your health. You haven’t slept in hours, it is not good.” Cyborg commented.
“Robin, sometimes, the best thing to do in situations like this is to step back and give it a rest. A lot of times, the answers will reveal themselves. You just have to be patient.” Raven added and Cyborg nodded.
“I don’t have time to step away, he could be anywhere, do anything that could wreak this city and harm innocent people. I can’t let that happen.” Robin stated, turning around. “And, I was trained by the world’s greatest detective so do you know what that makes me?”
“Uhhh… the world’s second greatest detective?” Beast Boy guessed. Robin nodded.
“So if I can’t get this, I feel like a failure, I have to keep going.” He told them and grabbed another file on Ravager’s father.
“Rob, even Batman, himself couldn’t solve this mystery right now, you need more evidence. So, until that shows up, give it a break.” Cyborg pointed out. Robin sighed and shook his head in defeat.
“Fine, just for a little bit.” He said. Raven raised an eyebrow and looked around the room. She closed her eyes but could not feel that person’s presence.
“Um… guys. Where is Starfire?” Raven asked.
“She isn’t with you guys?” Robin wondered and looked behind them and only saw Silkie squirming nervously on the floor.
“Nooo…” Beast Boy started, “She isn’t with you?”
“Does it look like she is with me?” Robin noted. Beast Boy looked down sheepishly.
“She might be sleeping in.” Cyborg said.
“That is not like Star, she is normally one of the first ones up. But I guess there is a first for everything. Let’s check her room to be sure.” Robin mentioned and the team walked down the hallway. They took a left and came up onto Starfire's room. It was oddly quiet, normally they would at least hear the faint humming of Starfire in her room.
“You go first Raven, she might not want any guys in there if she is not presentable.” Cyborg told her and turned to Robin and Beast Boy “You know how picky girls can be about their appearances.” They nodded.

“I heard that.” Raven hissed and opened the door. She then closed it behind her. Silence. The boys didn’t hear any talking or movement. After a couple of seconds, Raven opened the door. Her skin was slightly paler than normal.
“What did she say?” Robin questioned.
“She’s gone.” Raven whispered.
“What?” Robin asked, not believing her.
“I said she is gone, look.” Raven moved aside to reveal Starfire’s room, without Starfire.
“Well, she didn’t leave the tower through any of the main exits or else the alarms would have gone off.” Cyborg commented. Beast Boy changed into a bloodhound and started sniffing the room as Robin still stood at the doorway, paralyzed by shock. Beast Boy kept sniffing and then he started to bark. He changed back into his normal form and said “Dudes, take a look at this.”
The Titans walked over to where Beat Boy was pointing and in the carpet was a black burnt mark.
“That looks like it could be from her eye blast.” Raven noticed.
“A fight?” Cyborg wondered out loud.
“That would explain why her room is messier than normal, but not by much...” Raven continued.
“But I still don’t get why didn’t we hear anything last night.” Beast Boy commented. Robin stared at the burnt mark in the carpet.
“She is really gone.” He whispered.

All Starfire could see was black. She felt like she was being carried, slung around and dropped. Starfire tried to rip apart the sack that she was contained it but it was no use, no matter how hard she struggled.
“I guess it is the alien proof.” She thought. It seemed like only a matter of minutes when Starfire was being carried once again and then thrown on the floor. She heard footsteps approaching and the sack was removed so that she could see out.
“Get out of the sack.” The voice called from the darkness. Besides the white light that shone on top of her, that was all Starfire could see. She stood up and got out of the sack that she was trapped in. The figure pushed her down and quickly handcuffs her and handcuffed her foot to a heavy metallic chromium machine that was directly behind her.
“Where am I? Who are you?” Starfire screamed, eyes glowing green.
“No need to get worked up, Starfire.” A deep voice said.
“Do the- I- Show yourself!” Starfire stuttered, maintaining her fierce disposition when threatened. Footsteps echoed all around the immeasurable size room, then the figure revealed himself from the shadows. Starfire squinted her eyes and recognized that resemblance to Slade’s mask.
“It is nice to finally nice to meet you in person sweet dearie.”
“Ravager?” Starfire guessed.
“Correct.” Ravager told her and started to pace around the lighted area of the room.
“What is it that you require of me Ravager?” Starfire asked, venom dripped from her voice.
“Slow down, slow down.” He began, using a slow tone of voice, mirroring the wickedness oozing from his father. “I have someone for you to meet before we talk business.” Ravager stepped aside to show a girl about Starfire’s age come out of the darkness behind them. She was young but she had long white hair and smirked as she saw Starfire handcuffed.
“Meet my sister, Rose.” Ravager said. Rose smiled and moved beside Ravager.
“Hi Starfire, I believe you will be a great asset to us, that if, if you cooperate.” Rose stated.

“What do you mean? I cannot help you, I will not help you because you both are evil and will ruin others lives for your own personal gain!” Starfire cried.
“Oh, but you will Starfire,” Ravager started to pace once again. “You are very powerful Starfire, I do not even think you realize how powerful you really are. You never use even a fraction of your power when you are in battle, but I knew you can accomplish more. I know about your past,” Starfire fidgeted nervously. “You overcame that, you have strength, both physically and mentally. But you lack EMOTIONAL strength. You are the weakest emotionally out of all the Titans. And that is how all the pieces add up, I knew that you were the one that we could use.”
“If you think that you can get me to comply with your wishes you are very incorrect!” She remarked. Rose and Ravager chuckled.
“Starfire, don’t be so sure. You will comply. Why? Because we have the powerful tool that our father loved you use, blackmail. So, if you are stupid and decide not to do what we ask, or if you attack us, we have two surprises for you.” Ravager walked over to a side of the room that Starfire could not see. He turned on the light in that area and before him was a huge object covered by a thin white sheet. He ripped the sheet off the object, revealing a glittering, gray giant missile underneath.
“Surprise number one, a missile to your beloved Tamaran. It will get there in less than five minutes and can destroy everything in its path within a 10,000 mile radius, in five seconds. Oh wait, that is how big Tamaran is.” He mused and walked back over towards the Tamaranian Princess, who looked like she wanted to disappear.
“And don’t forget lovely surprise number two!” Rose handed him a clear glass box with four vials in them, colored blue, red, violet, pink and green. “I ran an analysis on all of you Titans, taking in consideration your background, age, species, gender, etc. And I developed a perfect weakness serum that can easily destroy you. Of course, I wanted to wait and save them because you all might be useful to me.” Ravager held up the pink one.
“This one is yours but we will not need this one,” He gave it to Rose for her to store in a containment unit. She walked off as Ravager inched closer to Starfire.
“It will not be difficult to give this to your friends, and I will have a special seat for you to watch. Also, I have taken the liberty to, if necessary, to bring someone you hold dear to you here.” Ravager lifted her chin and stared into her bright emerald eyes. “And you will watch Robin suffer!” He smiled and stood up as Rose came back into the room.
“So, now that I have explained what could happen with one of your choices, what will you choose to do?” Ravager asked a trembling Starfire. She stared at the floor, silent.
“I would make a decision fast, my brother hates to wait.” Rose mentioned.
“I- I will do whatever you ask.” Starfire whispered. Rose and Ravager smiled.
“Excellent.” Ravager stated and walked over to unlock her handcuffs.
“Remember what I said sweet dearie.” He whispered in her ear as he removed the handcuffs and allowed her to stand. Starfire rubbed her wrists and rose off the ground. Rose disappeared once again but returned in a matter of seconds. She had black, silver and orange clothing in her hands.
“As our new employee, you are required to wear our uniform, at all times.” Rose told her and gave her the clothes. Starfire reluctantly took them and stared at her new uniform, just thinking, telling herself that this is to save lots of lives.
“Come in this room and change. We can’t wait to see you in your new uniform.” Rose said and opened a door to another room. Starfire walked in and closed the door. She changed slowly, dreading having to put on this uniform. It all happened so fast, the capture, the threat, the decision now to work for the villains. That means she was now a villain. As she processed this in her mind, she felt no better than Blackfire, but at least she was doing this to keep her friends, her people from perishing. It was worth it. She opened the door and stood out into the bright white light. The orange and black tank top was snug around her waist and she had metal braces on her arms and her neck. Starfire looked down to see her black and silver pants, with one leg ripped shorter than the other and moved her feet around in her ankle boots.
“This will take some of the getting used to.” Starfire thought grimly. Ravager smiled as she came into the light, her head hung low and her long hair covered some of her face.
“You look beautiful Starfire, perfect in your uniform.” He complemented and Rose nodded. Starfire had to fight to keep her eyes from rolling. This was too much for her, she was one of the sweetest people in all of the galaxy and now, she doing evil deeds? Inside, she was breaking, outside she kept her composure because she knew, if she messed up, lives would be destroyed.
“Thank you.” She hissed, avoiding eye contact.
“So, now for your first mission as our new worker. I need you to find a chip that my father was trying to find. There were three of them but he lost them somehow, but the makers of the chip condensed it to one chip. You will steal that, which will complete phase one of our plan.” Ravager told her.
“What is this plan?” Starfire asked.
“I can’t say yet, sweet dearie, you haven’t even shown me that you are even cooperative. You haven’t even stole, damaged, traced anything. Wait longer and all will be revealed.” He replied and gave her a communicator. “Coordinates are all set, get going.”
“All ready, this is very quick, I just was captured and now you want me to do the stealing?”
“Yes, no more questions, get out of here.” Ravager stated.
Starfire grasped the communicator in her hand and looked up one last time, eyes pleading with Ravager.
“Get going.” He said through gritted teeth and she obeyed. Rose opened a hatch above her and she flew out following the coordinates to steal the chip.

“Robin, we have no sign of Starfire anywhere, she is likely not even in Jump anymore. Let’s head back to the Tower and see what we can do from there.” Cyborg said over the communicator to Robin on his R-Cycle traversing Jump City.
“Negative, we keep searching until she is found.” Robin ordered and swerved right.
“Dude, we have been at this for a while, we need rest or else we won’t be any good searching half asleep.” Beast Boy mentioned again over the communicator.
“I agree, I am exhausted.” Raven agreed.
“If you want Rob, you can stay out but we are going back to the Tower to rest and plan where else to look.” Cyborg stated, slightly muffled.
“Alr-” His communicator beeped and shut off his transmission between him and the other Titans.
“Robbery.” He muttered, annoyed.
“Team, that rest is going to have to wait. There is a robbery east bound of downtown. Sending coordinates, go there immediately but do not engage without all the team there, repeat, do not engage.” The team all gave their “okay’s” and Robin put his communicator back on his belt. He turned quickly to the left heading for Jump City’s technology science labs.

Starfire blasted the guards unconscious and used her strength to rip open the titanium doors. She threw the doors behind her and saw the chip in the distance, encased in glass along with other guards that stampeded towards her. Starfire took her starbolts and one by one, shot them down, crumpling to the floor. The glass glittered innocently as Starfire approached it and punched the glass, shattering it to falling pieces. She grabbed the chip and turned around, ready to make a getaway but the Titans blocked her path.
“Try not to engage Starfire, don’t let them know it is you, do not use any star bolts or eye blasts. Get out of there as soon as you can.” Ravager blared in her ear, making her cringe. She let her hair fall into her face, covering her recognizable features.
“I don’t know who you are, but the robbery has come to a close.” Robin said. “So, return the chip now or we will make you.” Starfire flew slowly to the ground, levitating only inches above it.
“I can’t” She whispered in an unrecognizable voice, she then flew at lighting speed pass the Titans.
“Titans after her!” Robin commanded and the Titans raced after her. Starfire flew to the the middle of the lobby but only to be cut off by Raven coming out of a portal and the other Titans surrounded her. Cyborg shot an ion cannon at Starfire but she dodged it and grabbed a piece of the wall and launched it at the Titans. Raven made a force field and Beast Boy came as a gorilla and pounded her into a wall. The battle commenced with each party getting the upper hand at times, bombs were flying, cannons were shooting, dark energy was surrounding the entire area, a variety of animals were there along with a huge amount of strength that was allowed to be showed by Starfire. Finally, Cyborg came up behind Starfire and shocked her from behind. She screamed and fell to the floor. As Beast Boy came behind to put her in special handcuffs but she did a low swoop kick and knocked his feet under him. He fell face first and groaned as she flew up again but a net soon entangled her. She fell once again to the floor, trying to struggle out of the net in vain. She saw Robin walk in front of her and she made a huge mistake. She looked straight in Robin’s eyes for one second. Eyes scared and pleading, even though it didn't look like Starfire, that was all he needed. He stopped and stared at her, no expression crossed his face. Raven walked over at Robin’s sudden actions and waved her hand in front of his face, he did not blink.
“Robin? Robin are you okay?” She asked, ignoring the struggling Starfire. Cyborg and Beast Boy also came to check on their friend and that is when Starfire knew she had to leave. She eye blasted the net right and the Titans turned around at the explosion. She flew up to the ceiling and burst right through it. Starfire clutched the chip in her hands as she flew back to Ravager, a single tear fell to the ground below.
“I don’t know what is wrong with Robin but it looks like he is in shock.” Cyborg reported as Robin was still staring at the place the Starfire was. “Grab the security tape and let’s get out of here.”
Beast Boy turned into a ostrich and ran off.
“Come on Robin, let’s go.” Cyborg told him with a gentle pat on his shoulder. He finally blinked.
“Okay.” He sighed and followed Cyborg. Beast Boy returned moments later with a disk in his mouth and the Titans piled into the T-Car.
“Guys, I must be mistaken, because the eyes I saw were not one of a villains. Please, when we get to the Tower, we have to watch the disk ASAP.” Robin mentioned after a moment of silence. Cyborg nodded and headed back to the tower with the car in a deadly silence.

Starfire walked into the lair of Ravager and in the dark, dank room filled with only the lights of computers, gave him the chip.
“Excellent Starfire, you did exactly as I asked. No powers, stole the chip, flawless. I can see that not even using most of your alien powers, you were able to escape. Just you wait, it will exciting to see you full power unlock.” Ravager told her. Starfire remained silent. Ravager grabbed her face and looked deep into her eyes.
“Be proud sweet dearie, this is your moment. Revel in it, bask in it, live it.” He released her jaw and she looked away.
“Thank you.” She muttered.
“And don’t worry, your Titan family will soon see who you really are, you won’t have to hide anymore after today.” Ravager mentioned and walked towards the computer screen.
“I have another assignment for you, but this one will need a little elbow grease.”

8 72A Beginner's Guide to Napping, Sunbathing, and Slaughtering Your Prey
Fang is a simple cat. Fang likes napping in the sun. Fang does not like being called Chairman Meow. Fang likes his belly being scratched for precisely 17.329 seconds. Fang does not like being punted between dimensions. Fang likes hunting and killing defenseless wildlife. Fang does not like mysterious blue boxes that appear out of thin air. Fang is having a Very Bad Day. A few things to note: Fang is a cat soul in a cat body, and that's not going to change any time soon. No cat girl evolution or possessed puppet or any of that. The slice of life tag is there for a reason. There is no epic tale here, only a cat doing cat things in a (hopefully) interesting setting. The game elements are pretty light, mostly there for flavor, so don't expect a huge amount of crunch. Nature is cruel, and cats are crueler than most.
