You and Spencer met at the coffee shop you worked at, it was close to the BAU. Spencer and his team would come in every so often, not as much as they liked to since they have to go away on cases. Spencer was the one to come in most often though. He would stop by in the morning before he had to catch the subway, he would talk to you as he dumped six tablespoons of sugar in his coffee. Today though Spencer decided to stop by on his lunch break with Rossi, he loved the muffins you made. You were cleaning the counters when you saw Spencer and Rossi walk in.

"Hey Spencer!"

"Hey, y/n" he said with a small smile that made your heart speed up.

"What, no hey for me, geez you don't come for a week and you forget all about me"

" Sorry Rossi, what can I get for you guys"

" Just a coffee for the toothpick and one of the heavenly muffins for me"

"Ok I will be right back" with that you walk away to get their order ready. As Spencer and Rossi were waiting at the counter Rossi turned to Spencer.

"Why don't you just ask her out already"

"I- I don't know what you're talking about," he said as a blush started to spread across his cheeks.

"Kid, I'm not blind. Just ask her if she wants to go out with you, I'll be waiting outside, tell me how it goes" He pat Spencer on the shoulder as he turned to walk out the door. A couple of minutes later you come out of the back room with a freshly baked muffin and a cup of coffee.

"Hey Spencer, that'll be twenty dollars." You said with a smile on your face. He handed you the twenty with a shaky hand and looked up to look you in the eyes.

"Um y/n, would- would you want to grab dinner sometime?" He looked down again to play with his hand as he waited for an answer.

" uh, yes!" You said with an even wider smile than you had on before. Something Spencer didn't think was possible.

" um great! I'll come get you her on Friday, and we can have dinner"

" sound great Spencer, I'll see you Friday" And with that Spencer gave you a small wave as he left the coffee shop.

"So, what did she say" Rossi asked as soon as he saw Spencer.

" She said yes, we're having dinner on Friday"

"Good for you, now hand over the muffin"
