《Consequences Of Actions》Chapter 27: Their first date

I woke up feeling warm and so comfortable. I didn't open my eyes and just enjoyed the moments of peace. My head was on a hard surface that was going up and down slowly and a heavy thing was around my body, pressing me to the source of warmth.

My eyes fluttered open and the haze in my mind slowly faded away. Then the realization of where I was and what was going on downed on me, stretching my lips in a soft lazy smile. Heat rose to my face and I bit my lip. Butterflies erupted in my belly.

My head was on Chris's hard chest and it was his arm that was keeping me pressed against him. One of my legs was also on top of his legs. I could hear Chris's light snores, indicating he was still asleep.

Very slowly I raised my head and looked at his face. I hardly kept myself from letting out a chuckle. I just stared at him, admiring the perfect boy that I was blessed with. His hair was a mess, covering his forehead a bit. His handsome face looked so peaceful, bare of any wrinkle or frown. His mouth was slightly ajar, giving him a funny look.

I love you!

His words from last night echoed in my head, making me blush harder. Slowly I laid my head back on his chest again, thinking about the hectic night we had. It was like a dream. If I wouldn't have been woken up in my bed in Chris's arms, I would have thought that everything was just my imagination.

I began to draw circles on Chris's chest absentmindedly. A big grin was on my face as I recalled our intimate kiss last night.

"If you keep doing that," I jumped slightly at hearing Chris's raspy morning voice. "We will be staying in bed so much longer, doing things that you are not ready for."

I turned my head and saw his eyes slightly open, looking down at me. His hold tightened around my waist and he began to draw circles on my back while giving me a lazy smile.

"Good morning." I said softly and blushed harder, slowly praying myself off of him.

"Good morning, love."

Goodness me! His morning voice could kill me.

I sat up and watched him looking at me, still laying on his back. "Seriously," said Chris and frowned a bit. "How can you still look stunning this early in the morning? Is it even morning?"

Suddenly I became self conscious and ran a hand on my head, trying to tame the hair that had come out of my braid. "I should look like a mess." I whispered shyly.

"You look breathtaking." he said and grabbed my arm suddenly, pulling me down, making me land on his chest with yelp. "Now, don't you want to give me a morning kiss, love?"

With the speed of lightning, I pushed myself off of him and put a hand on my mouth. "Morning breath." I said through my fingers before jumping out of the bed.

"I don't care." groaned Chris and pouted adorably. "I want my kiss."

"Don't be such a kid." I chuckled and picked a change of clothes for myself. Glancing at the clock I saw we were a bit early, so I looked at Chris. "Unfortunately for you, it's morning. We should go to work. I will come out soon so you can take a shower."

I walked into the bathroom and closed the door and locked it. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and my eyes widened. I looked so different, so livelier. My skin looked so brighter and my eyes were full of life. The sight simply make my heart warmer and I knew I owe it to the boy who was in my room.

I had taken a shower last night, so I just did my business, washed my face, and brushed my teeth before changing into the clothes I had brought.

When I got out, Chris had fallen asleep again. After waking him up and hearing so many groans and whines, he finally went into the bathroom with a pair of jeans and a white shirt that belonged to my dad.

I was in the kitchen, washing a glass when I felt his presence behind me. I smiled as his arms circled my waist, pressing his chest to my back. I rinsed my hands and turned in his arms, looking up at him. His eyes, full of adoration and love were fixed on me, melting my heart.

"Can I have my kiss now?" he asked with a husky tone and leaned down.

I put my hands on his shoulders and closed my eyes as his lips touched mine, moving slowly but sensually with mine. Our bodies were pressed together with my back pressed into the sink. The kiss deepened and our hands slowly began to roam each other's bodies when suddenly someone cleared their throat.

We pulled away quickly and looked at the entrance of the kitchen where an annoyed Liam had stood, glaring daggers at us.

"Can you two keep it PG-13?" he asked a bit angrily. "Daisy could have been here instead of me."

"Sorry," I mumbled as I pushed Chris away from me and rushed to prepare the breakfast that I intended to cook.

"Whatever." grumbled Liam and walked to the fridge. "I never knew seeing your sister kissing a guy would be this disgusting."

"Better get used to it, buddy." said Chris and leaned on the counter. He smirked as Liam's head snapped to him, glaring at him. "She is mine now. And I can kiss her as much as I want to."

Liam clenched his jaw. He opened his mouth to snap but just then Chris stepped forward and put a hand on his shoulder, looking at him with soft eyes.

"But you don't have to worry about me hurting her." he said with a serious tone and eyes sincere. "I prefer to die rather than hurt her ever again. I promise to take care of her."

My heart fluttered by hearing Chris's words.

How could he be such a perfect guy?

Liam didn't say a word. They just stood there, staring at each other, like they were having a mental speaking before Liam dropped his head and sighed. He glanced at me and I smiled as I saw concern and doubt in his blue eyes.

"I trust him, Liam." I said. "He is a good boy."

Liam sighed again and he looked back at Chris. "I trust you to take care of my sister." he said and then raised a threatening finger up. "Just keep the kissy stuff as hidden as possible. It's still gross."

"You've got it." smiled Chris and took a step back. "Thank you, Liam."

"Thank you, L." I said as I kissed his forehead.

"Okay, let's eat breakfast." said Liam as he turned on the stove. "You two should go to work."

I glanced at Chris and mouthed a thank you to him. He smiled back and step forward and pulled me to his side.

"You're welcome, angel." he whispered in my ear before kissing my forehead and going to help Liam.

"How about this one?" asked Mia as she held up a simple black dress that belonged to mom out of the wardrobe, showing it to me.

When I had come home from work, Mia was already there. She had dragged me to my room and had demanded to tell her everything. Obviously, Chase was the one who had told her about me and Chris. After I had spilled my guts for her, she was more than eager to help me get ready for my first date.

I stopped buying dresses when I turned 16 when dad left us, so all the dresses that I had weren't good for my age. That was why Mia was rummaging through my mother's dresses, hoping to find something, although I had told her I didn't want to wear dresses.

I turned away from the mirror, put down the hair iron, and glanced at the dress. "Mia," I sighed. "It's too short. It's a cold day, I will freeze."

"Oh come on. Didn't he tell you that he will take you out for dinner?" she asked annoyed with a hand on her hip. She continued after I nodded. "Then he will probably take you to a fancy restaurant. So you will be indoors most of the time. You should wear a dress."

I sighed defeated and looked at the dress again. It was a beautiful long sleeve black dress. It was simple with a puffy skirt, but its cloth would glitter when moving it. A faint smile appeared on my face as I remembered the time mom had worn this for a party. I was so young back then. Our family was intact and my parents were so happy couple. My heart ached as I thought about my family's condition. Fate really was cruel sometimes.

"Hey." said Mia softly and put a hand on my shoulder. I hadn't even noticed that she was standing beside me. Her eyes were full of concern. I'm sure she had guessed what was going on in my head. "It's okay. We can pick another one if this one makes you sad."

"No, it's okay." I smiled weakly and grabbed the dress. "I think my mother would have suggested this too. Thank you, Mia."

Mia smiled and kissed my cheek. "Get ready." she said. "It's almost six. Mr. charming will be here soon."

I nodded and rushed into the bathroom to change. Mia helped me to zip up the dress. After I picked everything I needed and put them in a clutch, I put on black heels and we walked downstairs. I smiled as I saw Liam and Daisy sitting on a couch, eating chips and watching TV.

"Ellie!" exclaimed Daisy and ran to me, hugging my legs. "You look like a princess."

I chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Thank you, flower." I said fondly.

Just then all of us looked at the door as the bell rang. Liam dashed out of the couch and yanked the door open.

"Evening, Liam."

I smiled as I heard Chris's deep voice.

"You will bring her home before ten. Am I clear?" said Liam sternly as I approached the door.

"I will, sir." said Chris seriously and I smiled as I saw his sincere eyes.

I was too happy that he wasn't making fun of Liam's protectiveness. He knew Liam considered himself the man of the house who should take care of his sisters. He was at a tender age and the last thing he needed was to get his words lightly.

"Hey, Chris." I greeted as I stood beside Liam. He looked so handsome. He was wearing a black button-up shirt and black jeans with a coat on top. His hair was a bit more tamed but it still looked so good.

He made eye contact with me and smiled brightly. "hey, angel." He said and kissed my cheek. "You look stunning."

"Thanks." I said. "I will take my coat and we can go."

I walked to the hanger behind the opened door and took my coat and watched as Daisy and Mia walked to the door too.

"Chris, can I come with you? Pretty please?" asked Daisy. "Ellie is a meanie. She says I can't come."

I chuckled as I walked in front of the door and saw Daisy this time hugging Chris's legs while looking up at him and surely giving him the most convincing puppy eyes.

Chris kneeled in front of her and kissed her small hands. "Sorry, little chipmunk." he said and lightly touched her chubby cheek. "I promise that I will take you out tomorrow. But tonight I should only take your sister. You know, I'm taking her on a date."

"Do you promise to take me out tomorrow?" asked Daisy. "Take me out on a date tomorrow night."

"Daisy!" I scolded a bit not wanting her to put Chris in an unwanted situation.

But Chris threw his head back and let out a beautiful laugh, followed by Mia and even Liam. I bit my lip and smiled too.

Chris kissed Daisy's golden curls on top of her head and held out his pinky for her. "I promise to take you out." he said with a warm smile as Daisy locked her pinky with him. "Not on a date but wherever you want. I pinky promise."

"You are great." shrieked Daisy happily and hugged Chris around his neck.

Chris stood up after my sister let him go. "Okay, angel." he said while holding his hand out for me to take. "Ready?"

I took his hand and stepped out of the house and glanced at the three inside of my home. "Liam, Daisy, be careful. Mia, thank you so much for helping me."

I waved as Chris guided me toward his car. He opened my door like the gentleman he was. As I was getting into the car, he stopped me momentarily and whispered near my ear.

"I couldn't say it in front of your protective brother." he husked out and his hand that was on my waist squeezed my side a bit. His hot breath on my neck and ear made me shiver. "But you look ravishing, love. It's so hard to not kiss you to death."

I blushed but smiled as Chris helped me into the car and closed the door. I watched him walk around the car to get in the driver's seat.

Again, was this handsome, amazing, perfect, kind guy in love with me???

I couldn't have been asking for more.

***********************************************************************************************

Fucking hell!

I really meant it when I said she looked ravishing. She was gorgeous. Her beautiful face had light makeup, and her hair had been pulled into a loose ponytail with a few strands framing her face. And her dress. It hugged her torso, showing her slim waist and her breasts perfectly.

My pants were already tight, but I knew she was nowhere near ready for that stuff and I was ready to wait for her as long as she needed. I could still remember my talk with my mother earlier when I was getting ready.

I was styling my hair in front of the mirror when I heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" I said loudly and the next second my mom was standing in the doorway.

"You look so happy." she said and leaned on the doorframe, watching me with a soft smile. "We could hear you whistling for an hour. Where are you going?"

"I think your wish has come true." I said and turned to her while picking up my button-up shirt and doing the buttons. I grinned widely as I glanced at her. "I'm taking Eleanor out tonight. It's officially our first date."

"OH MY GOD!" my dear mom screeched like a 15-year-old teenager and rushed inside. "Are you serious?"

"Definitely." I said and hugged her tightly before letting her go. "We kissed and I confessed my feelings for her. Mom, can you believe this? She loves me too. God, She loves me back."

"Oh my Goodness." said mom happily and sat at the foot of my bed. "I didn't know your relationship had developed this much."

"Everything happened suddenly." I said as I checked myself in the mirror. "Something happened but we are fine now. Brilliant even"

"So you were at her house last night." stated mom and her smile faded a bit.

"Yeah," I answered and looked back at mom, knowing well what was going on in her mind. "But other than a few gentle kissing nothing happened. She is not like other girls I was around. I really love her, mom. She means everything to me."

Mom stood up and walked to me. She caressed my cheek and smiled warmly. "I'm happy to hear that." she said. "I know she is not like other girls. I'm so grateful for her to bring the light of life into my son's eyes. Be a good boy and be on your best behavior. Show her what a gentleman you are."

Her face then became a bit serious and she grabbed my shoulders firmly. "Don't lose her, Chris." she said as she stared into my eyes. "It is not every day you find a girl like her. She is a timid girl, strong and smart. I found out that much from our short meeting. Don't rush her to things she is not comfortable with. Keep her, Chris. You need her as much as she needs you."

"So, where are we going?" asked Eleanor some minutes into the drive, breaking the silence and snapping me out of my thoughts.

I scratched the back of my head nervously. "To be honest, I didn't want this to be a cliche," I answered awkwardly and glanced at her. "So I didn't want us to waste our time in the cinema or shit like that. I have booked a table in one of my favorite restaurants. There is a park near the restaurant. I thought maybe we can walk there after? If it's not windy or so cold."

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "Shit, I'm terrible at this kind of stuff." I said and looked at her fully as I stopped the car behind a red light. "But I wanted us to have time to talk, about ourselves."

"I love your plan." she smiled at me brightly, but tilted her head to a side and looked at me curiously. "Please forgive me for asking this. I'm only asking because I'm curious. But you act like it's kinda your first date, though you were dating Lara and others before."

I looked away a bit embarrassed and tightened my hold on the steering wheel. The memory of a jerk that I was hit me again.

I felt Eleanor's hand on my arm and looked at her concerned face again. "I'm sorry." she said hurriedly. "I shouldn't have asked it. Forget all about it."

I grabbed her hand and kissed it as I drove again. "Nothing to be sorry for, angel. You deserve to know." I said and gave her a smile. "To be honest, I feel like this is my first date ever. This might sound odd to you, but Lara was my only girlfriend and it was kinda forced. I wasn't a type to date and do relationships, but Lara was driving me crazy with insisting and I only accepted because It was good for my reputation."

I cursed myself for my low way of looking at life. I was a true idiot.

"Don't think bad about yourself." said Eleanor softly and I looked at her. Her beautiful eyes were full of warmth, making me feel better.

"I was a dickhead." I groaned. "I'm ashamed of who I was and how I was thinking and acting. I feel gross, thinking about my past."

"Chris, please." said Eleanor sadly. "We are only teenagers. We are slowly finding shape. It's natural that we make mistakes." she sighed and looked ahead before continuing. "I just hope you don't regret what you have changed into a few years later because you are so great now."

I grabbed her hand and gave it a squeeze. "I won't regret this version of me ever." I smiled which cause her to smile as well. "I feel I'm in the right direction and I'm a better person than before. At least the fact that I have someone like you by my side is proof of it."

"I'm proud of you." she said quietly, making my smile grow wider.

I brought her delicate hand to my lips and kissed her knuckles. "Thank you, angel." I said. "That means the world to me."

Soon we were at the restaurant I had picked. I watched satisfied as Eleanor looked around with awe. Her arm was locked with mine and her other hand was on my same arm too. We were in an expensive Italian restaurant. It was small and looked so cozy. Every corner was covered with plants and small lights and lanterns and the booths and chairs' clothes were dark maroon while any wooden furniture was mahogany.

"Mr. Harrington."

I turned to the host who had stood behind a desk and walked there with Eleanor by my side. "Good evening, Mr. Rossi." I greeted and shook hands with the middle-aged man.

Let's just say he knew me because of the amount of time my family and I had visited there. We were some of the regular customers there. And as long as I could remember, Rossi was the host.

"It's an honor to host you tonight, young man." said Rossi kindly and looked at Eleanor with a smile. "And I see for the first time you are bringing a date. Double the honor for us. I should say you have a beautiful date here."

"Hello," said Eleanor politely and smiled. "And thank you, sir."

"Please follow me." said Mr. Rossi and grabbed two menus on his way. "Let me show you to your table. You shouldn't waste your time talking to an old man on your date. Your table is in the VIP section as you have requested, Mr. Harringtone."

We followed Rossi up a flight of stairs and Eleanor gasped once we reached the second floor. One of the walls up there was made of glass, giving a beautiful vision of the large park next to the building. It was dimmer up there and more candles and small lights were lighting the room.
