Third person's point of view

The game starts.

Shohoku's got the ball

"That was a pretty close tip off, last year Akagi would win for sure." One of the players of Shohoku said. "This means Uozumi's improved."

"Welcome Shohoku!" Uozumi greeted, the captain of Ryonan while defending under the basket.

"King of the apes is sure in high spirits." Sakuragi said, describing Uozumi. "You just wait I'll defeat you."

The ball was stolen from Shohoku, Ryonan got the ball. Sendoh got the ball. Rukawa is blocking him. Sendoh passes the ball and scored.

Akagi got the, Uozumi is guarding him. "Come on Akagi!" Uozumi yelled.

Akagi passes the ball to Kogure, he shoots but Uozumi blocked him. Rukawa has the ball he shoots but got blocked by Uozumi again.

Ryonan's bench players were really happy about Uozumi's blocking skills. Shohoku has the ball again, he passes it to Akagi with Uozumi still guarding him. Akagi jumps to shoot but got blocked by Uozumi.

Ryonan cheered.

"Gramps! They're in trouble! The only way is to use the secret weapon! Right?" Sakuragi said to Anzai-sensei while his arms are around him.

Sakuragi got up and making his way to the court, everyone is panicking.

"Good! It's time for me the secret weapon, Sakuragi to play!" Sakuragi yelled and marching to the court. "Rukawa! I'll sub you out!"

"Wait! Wait!" Everyone at Shohoku's bench said.

They got up, trying to stop Sakuragi from entering the court.

"What are you talking about!? The game just started two minutes ago!" Ayako yelled while pulling his arm.

"Sit down!" Y/n yelled while helping Ayako.

"No Sakuragi!" The other players said and pushing Sakuragi to the bench.

"You guys can't lose to the king of apes... Damn!" Sakuragi yelled. "Go for it! You have work extremely hard!"

Back to the game, Shohoku has the ball, he passes it to Rukawa but before Rukawa reaches the ball Sendoh seals it.

"Let's continue." Sendoh said to Rukawa and run to the other side of the court.

"Bastard!" Rukawa said and run after Sendoh.

Sendoh jumped, Rukawa also jumped to block his shot. But Sendoh passed it to his teammate.

And Ryonan scores.

Everyone was shocked by Sendoh's fake shot. Ryonan is in high spirits. Ryonan's Coach is also in high spirits.

"This is where we start winning!" Ryonan's coach yelled and stands up. "Listen up! We have to win by 30 points!"

As the coach said his speech, he did not notice that Sakuragi was behind him and...

"Shut up!" Sakuragi yelled and inserted his fingers to the coach's butt.

Shohoku is under the leadership of Akagi, started their first match of the year. Their game was against one of the four top teams from last year in the Kanagawa District, Ryonan High.

They're sought as being the one of the team to have the most potential of becoming the champion in the Nationals this year.

Ryonan's Captain in high spirits; two meters tall, number 4 Uozumi with incredible skill, consecutively block Shohoku's shots. Besides that, there's coach Taoka relaying on super basketball player, number seven Sendoh. On the other hand, because of Taoka's arrogant attitude, as a result Shohoku's secret weapon attacked him from behind.

Because of the technical foul, Ryonan gets a foul shot, that was during the first few minutes in the first half, and the score was 15 to 0.

The giant with high morale, Uozumi. Announced that they'll lead by a score of 30 points. Also, Sendoh who's just in his second year being the star player, is showing his true potential.

Back to the game, Sendoh steals the ball from Kogure and started to run to the other side of the court. Sendoh did another fake shot when he saw Rukawa is going to block him, Ryonan scores. The whole gym is filled cheers for Sendoh another fake shot.

Sakuragi is getting pissed.

"Oi! Sakuragi Hanamichi! Where are you going?" Ayako asked while trying to stop him from going anywhere.

"Nothing... I just want them to shut up for a bit..." Sakuragi answered while clenching his fist.

"No! You just got a technical foul! Now you want to get in trouble again!?" Y/n said while helping Ayako.

"Damn! You guys better cheer for Shohoku! What are you guys doing here anyways?!" Sakuragi yelled at his friends.

"You're so hard to teach! Sit down!" Ayako lectured while holding Sakuragi with the help of Y/n.

"Ryonan's number 7 is amazing."

"I thought he wanted to shoot!"

"Back there only Rukawa can match up with him! If it was us, we would never have caught up."

"Sendoh is in different level compared to us."

"Ah!" Sakuragi said.

"It's a three pointer!" Ayako exclaimed.

"It's going in!" Y/n added.

"Too bad!"

Sendoh, Rukawa, Uozumi, and Akagi are going for the rebound. Uozumi got the ball.

Uozumi passes the ball to Sendoh, another fast break.

Rukawa is now in front of Sendoh. He fake pass when he saw Rukawa was going to block his pass. Sendoh scores.

Ryonan cheered for Sendoh's successful shot. However, Takoa-sensei still doesn't know Sendoh's performance, just cause two peoples fighting spirits to arise.
