《》The Ultimate Jealousy

I sit at my desk, staring at nothing.

I'm such a fucking child it's not even funny.

What is wrong with me? Why am I so damn hung over this woman? Why did I want to headbutt Peter into a wall?

Questions, questions, questions...

She was currently out having lunch with her new boyfriend. And I was stuck here. Thinking of her and him. What could they possibly have to talk about?

"Oh, did you here about that new book?"

"Yeah, Totally."

The fuck? It should be m—

I pick up my ringing phone and stare at the facetime caller.

Sarah.

I slide the answer button and hold the phone a few inches from my face. She seems to be walking somewhere, but she picks the phone up to show her face. "Hey, baby!"

I turn the volume down at the sound of her high pitched voice. Here comes my headache.

"Hey, Sar."

"So I just wanted to call you and see how you were, how are you?"

"I—"

"Oh! Did I tell you about my dad inviting us to Shelley's wedding? I'm going shopping for a dress right now! It's this Sunday, we'll be going to the reception and all that stuff afterwards. I honestly can't wait, because I was looking at these dresses online and I found they had an entire selection dedicated to that theme, it's like an ivory white too! But I'm not sure if I should get it because I'd totally be a distraction since Shelley's wearing white too—"

"Hey, Sarah. I have to go, you can tell me about it later, okay?"

"Okay, Logan. I hope everything is going well at work! Love you!" She kisses the phone before ending the call.

I sigh heavily before rubbing my temples.

"You okay?"

I don't look up when I hear Yasmin's soft voice echo through the room.

Her heels click against the floor as she walks around. That's when I smell her heavenly perfume near me.

"You know, to relieve a headache, you should gently rub from your cheekbones up to the spot between your ear and corner of your eye. Works wonders for me." I look up finally and find her in front of my desk with a small smile on her lips.

"Rub where?" I squeeze my eyes shut at how that sounded. Though, she just laughs and walks closer to me. She takes my hand and pushes down my pinky, ring finger, and thumb. Leaving my other two fingers to push against the top of my cheek bone.

"And just rub upwards, like this." She chuckles when I struggle, for some reason my brain and fingers weren't cooperating together. "Do you want me to show you?"

I nod, unable to speak from her proximity.

She places my hand down onto my lap. Sliding my chair back and turning it towards her, she's standing in front of me. My eyes at level with her midsection. She bends her knees slightly so it's easier for her to reach me. Using the tip of her thumb, she rubs my skin gently in circles, the rest of her fingers framing my jaw. Raising slightly, she moves in a smooth rhythm back and forth from my cheekbones to my temples. My eyes flutter shut at the relief of my headache dissipating.

"Better?" Her voice no higher than a whisper. Her fingers come to a stop on my skin and she begins to pull away. But my hand stops her.

My eyes open to find her head titled downwards, towards mine. Her hair falling around us like a curtain. Her eyes were so blue, I felt like I was falling into the ocean. Slowly, I pulled her hand closer, so that her body moved with it. I slowly stood and towered over her. She looks up at me with her lips parted.

Before I realized, my hand was on her jaw, tilting her head. My thumb rubbing against her soft plump lips. Her eyes closed and instinctively mine did the same.

The pull I had for her was too strong to resist, and I crossed that line.

Our lips met in a fluid motion, I moaned as pleasure flowed throw my body. I pulled her body closer so that there was no space between us. A moan slipped from her lips, her hands wrapping around my biceps. My lips trailed down the soft skin on her neck, her head tilted back to give me more access. I felt her fingers run through my hair, her other hand sliding under the collar of my dress shirt.

That's when I snapped out of my reverie. The pleasure was immense and blinding but I pulled away, then guilt settled in.

She stepped away from me, her chest rising and falling faster than normal. "I... I'll give you some space. I'm sorry." She walks away with her head down and shuts the door behind her.

What have I done?

I've never—

What if I hadn't stopped?

I fall back into my chair with a groan.

Amidst those guilty thoughts there's one that stood out more than the rest.

I wanted her to come back to me.
