《My best friends brother》Chapter 26

It was the day after the worst day. Jaxon and I got into a car accident. The other car hit ice and lost control of his car hitting right into us on my side. Jaxon tried to protect me but he ended up breaking his hand on the impact. That was the worst of his injuries though. He got a few cuts on his face. I on the other hand. I lost the baby. The seat belt cut my shoulder but not bad. I had bruises all over my right side. The worst part of it. Was losing the baby for me. I was upset. Jaxon was too. He said he was taking him to court and suing him for what he had done to us. I didn't want to deal with it.
My mom brought me home. I went upstairs to my room. I looked in my body mirror. I shook my head and sat down on my bed. There was a knock on my door and Bree came in.
"Hey" she said.
"Hi" I replied.
"How're you holding up?" She asked sitting down next to me. I shrugged. I didn't know what to say.
"Everything's going to be okay. You and Jaxon will get through this" she said.
"I know. I just feel a little numb right now" I replied.
"That's the medication they gave you sweetie" my mom said coming in. She gave me some more of the medication. I shook my head.
"I don't think I need that right now" I replied.
"The doctor said to give you some more when you got home" she responded. I took a deep breath and took it. She smiled.
"Bree why don't you take her out for a little bit?" She suggested. Bree nodded and lightly smiled at me.

"No drinking please. I don't want to clean my vase out again" she added. Bree laughed. I didn't.
We came out of the movie theater and I still wasn't feeling much. People would look at us and whisper. I rolled my eyes. I put my hand on my stomach and rub it. The doctor said I would still have to give birth to it and it hurt me even worse. Giving birth to my dead child. I cried my eyes out when they said it.
"Can we go to your house tonight?" I asked. Bree looked at me.
"Yeah. Would you like to get some food first?" She answered. I nodded. Like usual. We went through a drive thru and went to her house. We got out and went inside. I saw Jaxon sitting on the couch drinking from the bottle. We went into the kitchen.
"He hasn't stopped drinking since he got home from the hospital" she said. I looked towards the living room. I shook my head and went to him. I sat down next to him.
"Jaxon?" I said. He looked at me and I could tell he was crying.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I wanted to see you" I answered.
"Why? I killed our child. Put you in the hospital. I'm a waste of space" he replied looking away from me and taking another drink. I grabbed the bottle from him. I set it down on the stand near me. I got up and sat down on his lap facing him. I put my hands on his shoulders.
"It wasn't your fault it was the other driver who hit ice. How could you have known that was going to happen?" I responded. He looked at the wall. I grabbed his face and made him look at me.

"Jaxon I love you. Maybe when we are both ready. We can try again. I'm not mad at you" I said. He leaned his forehead against mine. I knew he was looking down at the bump. He started crying and I held him. If it wasn't for the medication I took I knew I would be crying with him.
After awhile we went to his room and laid down on the bed. I snuggled into him. He wrapped his arms around me.
"Please don't leave me" he said. I looked up at his face.
"No matter how much we fight. I don't think I'll ever be able to" I replied. He kissed my forehead.
"I want to be there" he said.
"I know. You will be. But it's not gonna happen for a few more months" I replied. He nodded.
